I was glad Avalon was with us, it just made things safer...like a chaperone...to make sure we didn't get into anything...dangerous. I paused my thoughts for a second and like you would a TV rewound a couple of seconds. What was I thinking? It was dangerous because of me...i didn't even know if he had even thought about me like that...I hoped so...no, nono I didn'thope so, I couldn't want that...I shouldn't...I really have to stop this...

I reached for a packet of crisps. 'So what if he's gorgeous, ignore the body..' I went to lift the packet off the shelf. 'Forget it Charlie' Ooops. He was holding the same packet and we had both been so intently focussing on our own thoughts we hadn't noticed. 'Don't blush. Don't blush.' Too late, my cheeks were burning as I let go of the packet and so did he so that it fell to the floor. 'Damn, damn, now he's gonna think you're a klutz Charlie...so what! Girl you don't want him thinking anything about you.' Avalon bent to pick up the packet giving us strange looks. 'Stop it.. Just stop it...party...think about the party....lots of people party...big loud party...no private rooms...stop it!'
