[You wont.] i said to Doc more forcefully.

Maya was right. She did need me. Besides, just comfoting her didn't mean we were dating, right?

I wrapped my arms gently around her shoulers,whispereing into her ear "Never believe yourself less than you are. Somone always thinks the world of you. There is alway a reason for being," I want to be yours, i added in my mind.

[Maya]

I sniffed, and forced the tears back -that was SO sweet.
"Mai?" joshua asked again.
"Uh-huh?" I replied, smiling.
"You ok?"
"Of course." I replied brightly. He raised his eyebrows, and i just grinned.

[Joshua]

This was getting confusing. And stressful, since it's a well-known fact that men are blubbering idiots without a clue when it comes to a crying woman, and Doc and I had *three* to deal with here, and the reason one of them was near crying was because another was crying, and the other one was crying because *Doc* of all people had given her a compliment that made her so happy she could cry!

ARGH!!

OK, now that that's out of my system.

"Charlotte, would you like to stay for Lunch, Maya and I were about to have some when we found out I'm temporarily paralyzed, hence you being here. We'd go out, but Mai didn't give me a sponge bath, so I kind of reek," I offered. "Oh, and Doc, you're invited too, if you cook." I grinned mercilessly as everyone either stared or glared at me.

[Maya]

"Erm, josh- the problem being that when i said i had cheese i meant i only have cheese."
"Cant you just y'know, click your fingers?"
"Usually, yes, but right now i'm still kinda beat... i dont think my powers are up to much yet."

[Joshua]

"Take out?" I suggested then. Looking over at Doc, one by one, we all were staring at him.

"What?" he blurted.

"Well, despite things, Maya ain't exactly rich, Avalon doesn't have a credit card, and until I can work a letter and a conference call to a lawyer, all my money is tied up in banks and investments, out of reach. So you're pretty much the only one with any cash on hand," I explained our looks.

He glowered at each of us.

"Unless you'd like to give me that sponge bath so we can go out shopping," I looked over at my girlfriends with 'bashful eyes' and a perverted grin.

[Maya]

"Much as i'd love to..." I grinned back, "I'm starving, so i'll say take out- and... i do have a bit of cash..." i avoided the others eyes and grinned at josh [you'd be surprised at how much vamps carry...]

[Joshua]

"Yeah, but if Doc pays then we could probably get Chinese from China," I laughed, prompting most everyone else into laughter. Doc, cause the laughing was at his expense, and Avalon, because she didn't understand what was funny.

"Fine, fine," he finally agreed. "What does everybody want?"

[Maya]

"Anything, rice noodles- just food!" I said, my stomach making its hunger known with a loud growl. i blushed as everyone laughed.

[Charlotte]

"I don't really need anything." I said. Doc's arms were still around my shoulders and I couldn't really concentrate on anything else, let alone a decision as big as what to eat. unfortunately he had other ideas and gently turned me around to face him, still holding me by the shoulders. "What?" I asked in a mock indignant voice.
"You have to eat." He replied. "What's it going to be?" I didn't answer for a second because I was suddenly distracted just by looking at him. I was less than arm length away from him and I could feel him breathing, almost hear his pulse and it was making me tingle. "Uh Charlie?"
"Oh. Whatever you're having." I said quickly giving myself a mental shake. 'Don't go there girl' I mentally warned myself. 'Don't get sucked in again.'

[Maya]

I grinned wider, but said nothing... however Avalon's raised eyebrow, and Joshua's smirk, suggested that they heard my mental rendition of
[Doc and Charlie, sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S...]

[Joshua]

<You're incorrigeable,> I telepathically muttered in Mai's direction. She just stuck her tongue out at me and kept up her mental taunts.

<Keep that up and I'm going to have to do something about that Miss Mai,> I warned her with a teasing tone.

{Oh really? What would that be?} she teased right back, rolling her tongue at me again.

I hesitated to answer, making her believe for half a second that she had won our little game and she stuck her tonge back out at me making 'Nyeh, nyeh, nyeh!' noises. Until I half-tackled her and sucked on her tongue, french-kissing her before she knew what hit her, and pushing all the right buttons that would get her out of what I liked to term in girls 'matchmaker mode'.

Okay, as much as I'd like to try that with Charlotte, I like my body the way it is. So...

"Fried bats brains it is then," I joked.

"What?" Charlotte gasped. I grinned.

"Dad had a saying," i said. "If you can't deicde, I offer you the most disgusting thing I can think of. Right now, that's fried bats brains or boiled codliver oil."

[Maya]

I giggled like a school girl, and poked joshua in the ribs,
"No fair." He just grinned back. Doc said something about food in the background somewhere.... but i missed it...

[Jackson ''Doc'' Ellison]

"Um, Chinese is good," Charlotte said weakly. I smiled victoriously.

"Next questions, who's helping," I looked over at Joshua and Maya. "not those two, at any rate. "Charlie, Avalon?"

"Please," Charlotte said. "Anything to get away from the snog-a-thon."

"i believe i will joine you," Avalon said.

"Very well then," i said. "This way ladies. And Joshua? Behave."
