I walked into the Spot and took a deep, unneeded breath. The smell of teens dancing and sweating and drinking was fresh in the air. I hadn't smelt it in a long time; not where'd I'd been in any case. With all the built up sexual innuendo of this place, it was a bit difficult to keep my fangs in, but I managed. I looked over at the bar and, sure enough, he was a new guy. Well, he'd have to get to know me.
I sidled up to the bar, aware that my outfit wasn't as skimpy as I used to wear here, but it would do. I grinned seductively at him and reached my hand across the table. "Smirnoff Ice," I said. He responded quickly, bringing out the drink.
I snatched it out of his hand, watching his expression fall at my cold attitude. Idiot thought he'd get some, just for grabbing me a drink?
Pervert.

I grinned at Aredhel's unhidden thoughts. [Hes a new trainee.] i told her. [the regular guy is cool. in fact, hes a little scared of us cos he sorta knows our deal- bad stuff still seems to happen in the spot.] I raised one eyebrow at the trainee, and he gulped, quickly getting a glass of beer and passing it to me. I smiled sweetly, "Thanks." I said, and he visibly relaxed. [so much fun to tease.] i told del.

I sidled up to the bar. "Orange juice please. Hey, are you new? I know I'd remember someone like you." I told Mai.

I grinned at Maya and sipped my Smirnoff.
Bad stuff happens here? You don't say... Bad stuff like, a tree just happens to grow out of the ground and stake a bunch of vampires? Or, you know, they just happen to explode like fireworks?
When Maya looked over at me, I did my best to look innocent. It was rather difficult, however, as I hadn't really been innocent for the better part of... oh, I've lost count. In any case, it was prehistoric eras when I was innocent.
I took another sip of my Smirnoff and tapped my foot to the music.

[something like that.] i said, smirking. The music blared as always, the clueless regular people danced as usual, but somehow it felt so different- Del was back, and i couldn't help but grin.

I followed everyone in and took a seat next to them. I just sat there silently while the human behind the bar gave me suspicious looks. I gave him a death glare (much shorter than a death stare) and he looked away quickly.
'Pathetic human!' I thought, 'FULL of fear!' I made sure that the left sleave of the jacket stayed down and continued to conceal my hand (it's not easy to have 1 cursed arm!) and watched as the humans enjoyed their leasure.

I laughed, hearing Zeroc's thoughts. I wasn't sure if he realized yet that I was telepathic, but I wasn't about to alert him. I tried not to read minds anymore, but if people happen to broadcast their thoughts, well, it's their own fault isn't it? I watched him fiddle with the sleeve a bit, trying to keep it down over his hand; good thing it was a bit big on him, otherwise he'd never have managed it. I felt kinda bad for him; not only did he have a cursed arm, but until now, he'd been the only undead in the group.
"Come on," I said, taking his uncursed arm. "You need to loosen up."
Without waiting for his consent, I led him out onto the dance floor.

I walked up to the bar and ordered a coke. Maya smirked at me and I stuck my tongue out in return. Immature, but effective.
I looked out at the dance floor, and my eyes widened. "Is that Aredhel and Zeroc?"

I raised an eyebrow at the strange combination but said nothing, instead taking a seat at the bar and looking over at the trainee
'Jake! Could you grab me a Smirnoff please sweet?'
Mai gave me a strange look and I gave her a smile
'Can I help it that I'm the only one who drinks here like all the time. I just happen to make friends with the bartenders'
Jake gave me my drink and I happily took a swig. For once everything felt really really good.

The microsecond I stepped into the Spot, I heard, and felt, the psychic onslaught screaming in my mind,
<WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN!!!!! I've been waiting for you here for the past half hour!!>
I cringed until it was over and then sighed and slumped where I stood. I put my jacket on the rack and then at the stares and slight gasp I got, I took it back and put it back on. Then I wander over to the bar area and stand next to my girlfriend. She isn't exactly hard to miss. Especially after that!
"I'm sorry!" are the first words out of my mouth as I stand just between Mai and Aredhel. "I explained how after the whole deal with the leech I have to be sparce with power using. Time stops and freezes OK, but time bubbles and most importantly, time rewinds are something I'm gonna have to do without for a couple more days."
"Doesn't explain why you were late," Mai said coldly while raising her glass to drink.
Blushing like crazy now, I scratch the back of my head and mumble so only the two people with superhearing right in front of me would hear the REASON I was late.
'Igotstuckintraffic'
Of course I timed that just right as Mai snorted in laughter just in time to do a classic spit-take. If I'd had a camera this would have been perfect blackmailing material for later on. Oh well, can't have everything.

I grinned at Maya's reponse to Joshua (and mentally thanked every diety I knew that she didn't scream like that in my head), but kept dancing. Zeroc really needed to relax. I could sense that the poor man was on edge; he didn't like humans. I'd never really had the problem; the bloodlust of my "early" years had forced me to get very close to the species. Aside from the pointed ears (which I hid quite well in public), no one would know that I was an elf. That is, except when I slipped into my broody moods, which usually ended up with me being all proper and... well, elvish.
"Seriously, Zeroc, just relax. Stay calm. Move to the music."
This was becomming a dance lesson way too fast...

I watched as Aredhel forced Zeroc into loosening up.
"Ya know," I said as teh barkeep handed me my usual. "If she keeps this up, boney might actually start acting human."

I continued to go along with the human leasure that they called 'dancing'.
'I can't believe that humans actually enjoy this!' I thought to myself, eve though I knew that I wasn't the only one hearing it.
I remained tense (I haven't been relaxed in 1200 years!) While the undead elf tried to loosen me up.
Memories of my former life appeared in my head. Dancing memories, but a different kind. Unlike most memories I usually got, these ones didn't make me scream in pain, these ones were different...
