"Let's go and..." the roofcollapse in front of them and several dark clad soldiers slid from above, all training guns on them. Doc raised an eyebrow lightly. "Well. this was unexpected. And you guys are..."
"Raven's orders. time to return home," Doc stiffened slightly, clenching his hands into fists.
"So much for leaving me to my own devices, huh?" He asked rhetorically.

Rogue pulled out a pair of daggers and dropped into a fighting stance and was about to make a move on the men when Doc spoke. She froze.
"Well, are they friend or foe?"

"Both," he answered. "Raven's soldiers. Mercenary's who obey without question," he smirked. "Woulda been me, but I had other things to take care of. So," he looked at hte soldiers, taking the suits and weapons into account. "That's some big time hardware for little ol' me. What's the story?"
"The Triskellion has been compromised. You're the only one with outside information on it. Raven needs to... discuss your actions," Doc slapped his forehead.
"A-ya," he murmured. "Nice one, Mal. You couldn't have just sat back and looked through your books, could you?" he sighed, looking athte soldiers. "I'm not going anywhere, boys. So you can either turn around and leave... or we can take option b, which is me taking those guns and shoving them somewhere exceptionally nasty."

"So you keep saying," he said as the soldiers stepped forward. Pumping mana he moved within their range quickly, driving a fist into the gut of hte first. "Listen, buddy, i'm not leaving..." he spun, slamming a steel toed boot into one of the others. "So rack off!"

Rogue kicked the closet one before swinging her blade towards the next, dodging a swing from the first. A shot hit her but she didn't focus on the pain and instead drove her blade into the back of the second in a fluid motion.

Doc grabbed the first by the neck, holding him up as mana pumped through his arm. "In the left hand, teh Healer," he whispered, his voice cold and eyes empty. "In the right..." with one swift squeeze, he crushed the man's throat, leaving him to choke as he turned to the last, who stepped back. "I will no go back," he whispered, moving forward with an open palm strik into the chest, shattering bone and sending shards into the fleshy organs within. "I am no ones puppet."

Rogue grabbed the other soldier, slid into her vampire face and dug in, drinking before pushing him away. The blood would speed her healing, she could still feel the bullet inside but she could easily retrieve that later.
"Thats for shooting me." She kicked him back, wiping her mouth, her face shifting back before turning to the next soldier.
"Give up yet?" she asked, giving them a chance. She had no problem with fighting them all, in fact part of her wished it, and another part was disgusted. She was surprised to find a part of her didn't want to kill them. Damn that dream demon. The part of her with compassion was too close. Even the man who she stabbed in the back would live and not even be paralyzed.

"Just finish them off, Rogue," Doc said coldly, turning his head to look at her through the side of his eyes. "There's no hope for them. Raven trained them to be the perfect soldiers. His hands, his weapons. He chooses those with no hope, those with no family, Talented and otherwise," he turned, approaching the one she'd stabbed. "He takes them in, makes them owe him, trains them then turns them loose. the only reason I'm not like them is I had something to hold on to. Kathleen. I had to look for her," he pulled the knife out, picking the soldier up as he grunted in pain. "They won't surrender, and they'll keep coming til 'father' orders otherwise. All you can do," he drew the knife close to the soldiers neck. "Is kill them."

"I was giving them a chance," she replied, kicking the next one back several paces before using one of her blades to stab another in the neck.

"Let me give you a hint here," Doc said flatly, holding the knife close to his prisoner's throat. "Why does Raven want me back?"
"Go and find out yourself," was the answer.
"Where is he? Is he near by?"
"I will not say."
"Will you surrender?" He asked finally. The soldier spat.
"For father," he announced. Doc answered by drawing the blade across his neck, letting him drop to the ground.
"For father," he whispered. "Whatever. Mindless idiot."

She stabbed the one she kicked back through the skull before pulling the blade out without harming the blade and swung, slitting a guy in the throat. How she wished she had her sword.

Doc looked around, counting out the bodies as Rogue took out the last ones with a sigh. "What do you want, Raven?" he whispered. "You said I was usueless because of my connection. You told me to leave and that you wouldn't stop me. You told me you believed my sister was dead and that you knew i would return when I learned that. Kathleen is alive, under a different name, but alive. So why are you sending them after me now? What do you want, Raven?" He clenched his hands at his sides. "What do you want?"

"He can only be found if he wants to be found," Doc told her, looking at thte hole in the roof. "Oh sure, i could go to him, to his base, the Triskellion. Where's guarded by more like these," nudged one of the bodies lightly. "But that's what he wants. So I'm going to opt for no. All I can do now is wiat for him..."
