The music was loud and much different to what she usually listened to but she let herself get lost in the rhythm of the music, letting it fill her senses. She didn’t want to study her magicks tonight but just wanted to act her age. After a while of dancing she went to the bar to get some water. As a rule she didn’t drink alcohol unless a spell needed it and she didn’t drink sodas with their horrible corn syrup and artificial flavorings; she much preferred to eat and drink all natural ingredients. Yeah, she was a health nut but she liked her body how it was and wanted it to remain clean for her spell work. That and the whole capitalism and people making money off unhealthy foods… It was a rip off!

With school finally being over, I felt free. The last couple of months, I had done nothing but work and go to school, not including the three nights a month where I would lock my self up in a cave as far from town as I could get. I blocked out everyone and everything. Now, I had my associates, and decided I would never go back to school. After the graduation party, I went to the spot, still feeling restless. Now I could live during the night, and sleep during the day. The Wolf liked it better that way anyway.
The first thing I did was ask the bartender for a straight shot of golden tequila. I pounded it like a champ, and told him to keep my tab open. I would be back. I leaned against the bar, my eyes raking over the moving bodies. I hadn't been here since the incident with the singer, who tried to kill me. The place felt different. I couldn't help but think that I was on the hunt tonight. No. I wasn't thinking it, I was feeling it. The Wolf was feeling it. I knew I wasn't going to hurt anyone. I noticed a woman next to me, with brown hair and a water bottle. She looked vaugly fimilar. I took a deep breath, taking her in. She smelt nice, and underneath her soap, there was an earthy smell. Not wild though, but like she delt with nature as a hobby. She also smelt very NOT dead. I pulled my best smile, and turned to face her.
"Hey... Do I know you? I think we go to the same school" It was one of the best pick up lines, because if she didn't go to my school, or even if she did, she would start talking about her self.

Adel blinked in surprise, not expecting any one to really talk to her. Did they go to school together...?
"I think so, you look failiar. I go to UCLA," she smiled back. There were only a few red heads there and she didnt' really socialize much with other people. Her interests didn't exactly match very many people's on campus. Often barrying herself deep in her wicca studies.
"I think we had a class last year... maybe chem?"

I had to think for a moment. Chemestry. That was one of the classes I struggled in. I usually hid in a corner. "We do go to the same school. Maybe we did have Chem together... Was there by chance a chick who blew up the room with an green gas while you were taking it?" I had to chuckle at the memory. I had read the bottle of nitrus sophate wrong, and mixed it with salt. The room stank for ages after.
I looked at her more closely, She was really pretty. Her brown eyes matched her face. I was still trying to pin point the earthy smell, without making it look like I was sniffing her. I had the hair on the back of my neck tingling, but it wasn't screaming dangerous. I wanted to know who or what she was.

She couldn't holdin her chuckle, "That was you? Mr. Kendell was sneezing for weeks after that incident."
"So, glad that school's over? I know I am. Summer time. Though I'm thinking of taking a year off before going for my bachlors, how about you? What are you going for?"
So far this girl seemed really nice and had very pretty green eyes.
"Sorry, I forgot to give you my name! My names Joan Adel but everyone just calls me Adel. Joan sounds so medieval."
She never cared too much for her first name and just went with her middle name. Why her mother named her after a woman who was burned at the stake she would never know.

I laughed. "Yeah that was me. What can I say? I'm pro." I strand of hair had fallen in front of my face, and I pushed it back behind my ear. "I'm Ashley. It's nice to meet you." I gave her a small shrug. "I think both are pretty names. Which do you prefer me calling you?"
I made sure I kept eye contact. It wasn't hard to keep the smile, showing off my perfect canines. "I acutally think I'm done with school. At least for a little while. Do you believe my major was Chemestry?" I hoped she wouldn't take my joke too seriously. I was soo bad in that class.

"Adel," she chuckled. "And I would think you didn't get your degree if your major was chemistry."
"So where are you from?" she asked, it was a lame question but she was never very good in these kinds of situations. Always being the akward kid in high school and the wall flower atparties she never got used to the whole dance and game of lets get to know one another.

She had a pretty name, a pretty laugh, and a pretty face. "You're right. I didn't. Theater is my poisen, and for a while, I thought it was my life." Another shrug. "I found out life was more than just performing on stage."
This was getting too serious for first time chatting. I didn't want her to run from me screaming. "Eh, Utah. There's too much snow there, so I came to the golden state to get a tan. Or try to." I laughed at that, because I couldn't phsyically get darker. "What about you, Adel?" I said her name to see how it felt. To taste her name. It rolled off my tounge easily

"I like the snow, it's very clean for the most part," she smiled before answering the question. "Wildlife conservation. Always been an interest of mine. Ever since I was little. Always just felt connected to nature." Part of why she loved wicca so much is that it was connected and working with nature.
"Can I get you a drink?" Adel asked, feeling a little braver. "I think the bartender might kick me off the bar if I continue to order water." She chuckled at the lame joke but smiled at the girl witting next to her.

"Snow is good, in small quantities." I smirked, remembering last winter I was there, I had ten feet of snow, of which I had to shovel the drive way.
"I'd love a drink. Orange juice maybe?" I didn't want to feel bad about drinking alcohol if the pretty woman in front of me wasn't drinking either.
"I totally understand the whole nature thing." If any one would understand, she would. Her background almost explained her smell. but it went deeper than her roots. It was almost as if the earth was her center. "I recently found out how amazing nature is, how peaceful it can be to be out in the woods under a full moon."

"Sounds good." She turned to the bartender with a smile. "A orange juice please."
"It is peaceful out in the woods, though I tend to stay away from the woods during the full moon, would love to but knowing my luck I'd get lost. I have a horrible sense of direction." Plus the whole werewolves running around put a dampener on that desire.
"I tend to settle for sitting in my garden on the roof top of my building. I can't get lost there." Actually it'd be pretty sad for her to get lost in her own garden... "So what made you decide to hang out in the woods? Since you mentioned you strted to do so recently."

I was glad that she stayed indoors on the nights of the full moon. It would be a very sad thing if she got bit. Or worse. The Wolf in my whined a little as I thought about the 'worse' part. I had to compose my self, because I felt sick. Not only was that disgusting, but I felt sick because I was one of those monsters. I took the orange juice from the bartender with a grateful nod, and took a small sip, trying to compose myself.
"Uhm..." I didn't know how to approch the subject. "My roommate had a crazy party out there once, and I walked away from the noise. I noticed how even though the forest its self was quiet, it felt very much alive. It was relaxing, ya know? I could take you some day, if you want. During the daytime, so you wouldn't get lost." I gave her a comforting smile. I knew those woods a little too well. "What do you grow?"

"Herbs and different organic vegtables and fruits." Most of the herbs though were for her wicca suff. "I would like that, going out to the woods with you." Probably not one of the things you should talk to someone you just met about but she seemed nice enough, and it sounded like fun.
"As long as you aren't a serial killer or anything," she chucked. Not that if she was she'd admit it... Jeeze, paranoid much? Shaking the thought she took a gulp from her water bottle.

Herbs. Veggies. Fruits. Organic. Not a lot of words I liked to use recently. "That sounds like fun. We can have a picnic or something." A picnic? Wow, how lame could I get. "Or just a walk. Either way.
I had to laugh at her serial killer comment. "No worries. I'm a peaceful pup." I had to use the word 'pup', didn't I? I took a peanut from the bowl and gave her a cocky smile. "I will warn you though, three days out of the month, I am a bit dangerous to be around. I promise thats it though." I wished it was as simple as taking a Midol and being better.
A thought occured to me, and I chewed my peanut almost slowly. With a sideways glance, I looked over her once. "You a vegitarian?"

"A picnic could be fun," she chuckled, realizing she was probably chuckling way too much. Pup and dangerous to be around three days three days each month... was she a werewolf?
"Yeah, I'm a vegetarian, been one for like six years now," she smiled proudly at that fact. It was a long time since she last ate meat and when most people found out she was a vegetarian they commented that it must have been hard. "One day I decided to be one and did."
"Does that bother you?"
