A business card? He's got to be kidding... who does this guy think he is? Apart from that small bit of confusion, Kyler smiled. He needed to think about how he was going to explain this to Martin.
"Ok then, I guess we should get going." He exclaimed, beginning in the opposite direction, gesturing for Rogue and Ash to follow along, "I'd prefer to get there before sunrise."

"Probably a good idea, or I'll have to haunt you," she replied snarkily. "I don't feel like dieing tonight."
She hadn't mentioned anything about her current state of being and figured the girl would either figure it out or not.

I took the card and placed in my purse. I would never lose it there. "I will. Thank you." I looked to my two guides after giving a smile to the man. My smile faded as I listened to the small banter. "What does the sunrise have anything to do with you dieing? Are you allergic to the sun or something?"

Kyler snickered slightly before replying, "yeah... you could say that..."
His composure then became a little more serious, "right now we have to go though, we don't exactly have a huge deal of time."
He continued down the alleyway toward the street.

"I don't tan," she replied with a straight face as the walked down the alley. Since she wasn't sure where they were heading.
"I take it you know nothing of the different creatures that hunt in the night?" she asked the young girl. She already knew the answer so she continued. "You need to be careful around vampires. Many vampires hate werewolves. I'm not sure why but there is a hatred between the two races. Probably because a werewolf can kill a vampire and vampires can't feed off werewolves."

I followed, feeling as if there was something I was being left out of. "No I don't. How am I supposed to? I didn't think any of this exhisted an hour ago." I looked to the back of Kyler. "How am I supposed to 'Watch for vampires'? I could have sworn the singer was just looking for a crazy night..." Everything was mildly frustrating.

Kyler looked back at Ashley and responded, "there are tell-tale signs that people tend to try to ignore, or come up with other reasons for. Most of the time, those who are not human tend to make themselves look and seem as human as possible... a disguise, if you will... but there are always those subtle signs, which you learn to look for."
He then headed back to her and continued, "but look... it's fine that you don't know these things... I mean, no one's expecting you to, you just got introduced to this stuff tonight... you can't be expected to be an expert right away... I'm still learning, I've barely scratched the surface myself... but it becomes more and more obvious as time goes by just how different this world is, in comparison to what we try to make ourselves believe it is... as for now though... we should really get going, we don't exactly have a lot of time... we can talk more about it a little later, ok?"
