"I'm not worried about rabies," she replied, looking at the girl. Boy she didn't want to tell the girl the bad news and the fact that the girl could very well not believe her was not a comfort. "To put it simply dear, that dog wasn't a dog. It was a werewolf, full moon deal and all," she said standing up.
"Now before you try and run there's a lot you need to learn, it's not safe to be a werewolf here in the city," she said, sure the girl would either bolt or pass out.

"Werewolf?" I was stunned. Vampires and werewolves in the same night? It made sense that the two went together. And probably lots more than I could immagine right now. I could cope with that they exhisted, but I didn't think I was a werewolf. "I think you might be mistaken." But as I said it, it didn't make sense. The dog that bit me was bigger than most, and it WAS on the night of a full moon. I remember that part now. "Things have been different for me..."

"Able to smell blood? Cranky? Itching to be outside? And doesn't the moon seem so much prettier now?" she asked, almost as if she knew the signs. She knew them well enough, had run into them many times both when she was human and as a vampire. It seemed she was taking this all rather well. Better then she would have thought.

A werewolf... Kyler had heard of them at school, but had never encountered one before, and this girl was turning into one.
Kyler decended down the side of the wall, aware that only Doc would be aware of his presence untill he wanted anyone else to be - damn his Talent.
Within a few minutes, he had reached the ground and by that point, there really wasn't anywhere to hide. He was in plain sight of everyone present.

She was right. On every single fact. I looked up at the sky, not being able to see the moon from where I was sitting. I jumped when something fell from where I was looking and landed in the alley with us. More people? I didn't know why everyone was conversing here. I looked at him curiously, as I asked my next question. "Ok. So I'm a werewolf. What's the cure?"

"Sorry about that..." Kyler laughed slightly when he saw the girl jump, "and as far as I know, there's no such thing as a cure for being a werewolf... though I'm sure these two would know far better than me."
Yes, he had interrupted for pretty much no apparent reason... but he saw no reason why he couldn't.

My heart started racing in a panic. I stood up, my blood rushing from my head to my heart in a flight of protection. I was a little mad at the guy who was laughing. It was like this happened everyday "Look!" I said, pointing at the wanna be spider man, as if it were all his fault. "There has to be a cure, I've seen the movies! Don't we just have to kill the damn thing that bit me?" I turned back to the woman. "Right? There has to be a cure..." This couldn't be happening. I'd almost prefer the rabies.

"No, unfortunately thats only in the movies," she said with a sympathetic look. There used to be some breeds that you could kill the attacking wolf and be cured but they died out over a hundred years ago. Too many people wanting to be cured. "There are steps you can take, it isn't the end of the world and if you learn control you can control when you change."

"I've heard it gets easier." Kyler decided to move forward, ignoring her slight explosion towards him a moment earlier, she was upset at this, it was understandable. From what he had learnt, people generally reacted much worse than this at the prospect of being an animal, but tended to get used to it after a while. "Not that I'd know myself, when it comes to being a werewolf, but I have a somewhat similar... condition... that I've managed to get used to, found ways of coping with, you could say..."
Kyler began to wonder if opening up and offering to help was really such a good idea, considering he had no idea who this girl was, and she obviously knew nothing about him - hell, they hadn't even exchanged names yet... not that he had done so with anyone he had met as of yet.

Werewolf. Oh what fun. Something not even the best with Healing could fix.
"It does," he whispered. "I've met one or two. They get used to it. Sometimes even accept it. Go out of down three days a month, runs the wolf in a nice little wild patch no one knows," he gave an almost kind, calm smile. "Might know a good reserve you can run in, if it suits you. Or you can spend three nights a month locked up and howling mad, no pun intended."

All three of them were trying to sooth me. I wondered how in the world anyone could be soothed in this possible way, even though everyone one of them made sense. Eventually I could control it. I looked at all three of them, one at a time. I wasn't alone through this. "And are you sure this isn't some kind of sick joke?" WHat's the worst that could happen if I was a werewolf anyway?

"You just saw a vampire turn to dust and you're asking if this is a joke?" she asked one eyebrow raised. "I'm not one for joking." She couldn't exactly blame the girl for not believing it. It wasn't exactly something to just accept and move on from. "And even if I was someone who joked around a lot I wouldn't joke about something so serious. A person whose a werewolf cannot typically control their wolf side when they're new, which means you could go out a do the same thing that was done to you... or worse."

Kyler listened to the last bit that Rogue said, specifically... this girl could go out and attack someone else, not because she chose to, but because she would have no control over it... and depending on who she attempted to attack, it could potentially turn out worse for her than her victim. He felt a sudden urge to help her out with this urge: he had to with his own, in the past, though it was different... perhaps he could assist her with her own.
"Look, there'll be a full moon in a day or so, which means you'll change... right?" Kyler glanced over at Rogue for a moment, for clarification...
