Matthew looked her, blinking slightly. "how did you know that?" Mal just smiled knowingly.
"You're tapping Rogue," he pointed out, wondering if that was an accident of not. "Practicing?"

"I figured since you said I should train with her at some point I should practice actually tapping into other slayers. Might help me find a way to get a one up on her. Though I already know she wouldn't be happy if I did. Plus I know she's on her way back now."

Returning to the library I could tell more then just Dana and Mal were in the room. "You know, I don't need supervision." I looked at Matt with disinterest. "A slayer I get but have you even held a sword?" Should probably be kinder since he was a lot of help in the past but last thing I needed was someone slowing me down.

Matthew put the book he was reading down with a smile. "One, I'm a tiger, why would i need a sword?" he asked pointedly. "Two, I'm a Watcher. Standard skill set. that includes using swords, crossbow and avarious other weapons."

For a moment I said nothing as I watched her. You normally dont get to see what the older slayers look like. Funny enough the older ones didn't spend much time in the mirrors and once she became a vampire... well no more mirrors.

"Fine, don't get in the way of my sword."

"I will try to avoid getting skewered," Matt said wryly. "Do you have a plan, or were you just going to go through the front door?"

"The trick isn't getting Doc out it's keeping any other groups from trying the same thing. The darker half of me grinned at the thoughts going through my head on how to stop repeat performances. "I'll draw their attention since they're expecting me to be able to track them down. You both can do what you please as long as you're helping."
Without waiting for either of them to do anything I turned back to the door and opened it. Across the way was where Doc was currently being held. Even though from where I stood I could not see the building but I could feel him. How that made any sense I wasn't sure but I knew it was him.

"Yeah, we're all going to die."

"Probably," Matt agreed, thinking. "If she's going to go through the front door, than we might be better off sneaking in and trying to get to Doc. That way she can let loose without the fear of bringing the whole building down on his head."

"Yeah, well, he's probably stupid enough to run back in after her."

"That's why you're coming," Matthew said seriously. "you get to know him out. "Mal, sewer access?"
"Out back, but they will be expecting that," Mal reminded him.
"not after Rogue knocks," Matthew pointed out, briskly walking towards the bback."

"She doesn't plan on knocking..."
Without another word I followed after Matt, anxious to see how all this would play out and also glad since we wouldn't run into many people.

With no care about if there were archers in the windows I walked across the street, before kicking down the door which actually was drilled into the frame rather well but it fell easily enough. Four men... really? Only four in the first room. I think I should be insulted. The one in the far corner began to mutter in latin but before he could even begin the spell I threw a knife into the throat, He tried to scream as he bled out but it came out as a gurgle instead.

"I'm aware," Matthew said as they headed to the sewers, wrinkling his nose at hte stench. "Figuratively speaking. Or as in 'knocking down the door'."
