After waiting for almost an hour in something I usually would not have been wearing I gave up on the idea that Doc would actually arrive for whatever it was he was planning. Oh he was going to pay. Dearly.
There was no answer at his door so the last place was Mal. The thirst for causing pain was beginning to rise in me but Mal would not be a suitable victim for the kind of pain I itched to cause but oh boy was Doc going to get it.
With more force than necessary I slammed the door open to the library fuming as before Mal could react I pinned him against one of the bookshelves, his feet several inches off the ground.
"Now where is Doc?" Each word came out almost painfully slowly. "And he better be dead or dying. Better yet no, I want to kill him myself."

"I'm afraid I... Haven't sen him," Mal choked out. "I was under the impression he was with you tonight. I presume something... untoward happened?"

"And what gave it away? I would hope the fact that I'm here asking you."

"Considering he was... looking forward to tonight i rather doubt he would have pulled out of his own free will," he said logically. "If you'll kindly let him go, I'm sure i can locate him for you."

Watching Mal for a moment with a skeptical look she went ahead and let him go.

"Thank you," he said, rubbing his neck. "You know, there was no need to be violent, all you had to do was ask," he closed his eyes, going into the look up. Moments later, his eyes snapped open. "Oh dear. I do believe I've found a target for venting your frustrations."

"Oh?" I ignored the comment about violence, violence was fun and at times needed. Of course it was a bit over board but it wasn't enough to hurt him... just cause extreme discomfort. Should probably apologize but that just wasn't in my nature when I was pissed off.

"It seem Doc finally pissed off the wrong people," Mal said. "An offshoot of the Old Council looking to retrieve some old books Doc... aqcuired from them some times ago, and remnants of Raven's gang. I can give you the address, but i may suggest taking some back up."

"Not necessary. Besides, who am I going to ask for help? I'm sure Doc doesn't want Maya anywhere near the old council let alone Raven wannabes." My right hand flexed at Raven's name. "How many are there?"

"5 Old Council, 3 of Raven's, plus some 30 mercenaries," Mal said. "I could call Dana to give you a hand if you'd like. Or you could go to you Council contact."

"I'll give her a call then," Mal said, moving for the phone. "Don't move. I'll be back."

Crossing my arms I waited for Mal to call his slayer friend. Not that she'd be much help, with how pissed I was I was sure I could take them but even so, a part of me knew I'd be open to mistakes because of that same fury.

Mal had moved back to the phone quickly, dialing Dana's number. He had a feeling he wouldn't have much time before Rogue decided to just go by herself anyway.

Sighing with impatience I took a seat, savoring the few moments I would get to rest before diving head first and once again... saving Docs annoying ass.
