I glared at the Doc that had spoken, while Avalon next to me just crossed her arms, her face formed into what I had come to call her 'calculating face'.
"I hate you," I told them in a cold tone. They both just grinned at me and shrugged identically.
"Well, either way," Avalon interrupted our man's talk, "Maya just left town, which I am sure you all probably already figured out. At least that is what I sense she has done. And I will need several days to gather my energy if I am to make a Soul Sword."
"You could just make a normal powered Soul Sabre," one of the Docs told her.
"Yeah, and I could actually stop her from making it," I retorted.
"My first Soul weapon will be a Champions-level Soul Sword," Avalon told them with a new look on her face. If it had to have a name, it would be 'pissed' on a normal human. On Avalon, it would be 'very slightly annoyed'.
"Now if we are done here gentlemen," she turned around and disappeared into the mists.

"Girl's got a temper," I said. My double agreed.
"We're gonna need to try and keep that in check if she's gong to sat alive."
"Definately," with that, we all departed to the Real World. Or, to be more precise, I departed to the Real World. the other two just hung around whatever they call the Realty of the Sabre's they were in.

I knew the moment Doc had "returned" and waited for the right moment when he would fully regain consciousness to his body, and making sure we truly were alone, I whispered to him, barely moving my lips, "I apologize Doc. I am still learning to minimize my emotional response. One of the skills I have been taught is proper intimidation techniques. I am not angry with your suggestion, merely and very slightly at that, annoyed that you would presume to tell me what and how to make a weapon that you had just spent several minutes preaching on. That is Joshua's word by the way."
"Oh, well, OK," Doc nodded after some brief hesitation.
<You just love getting me into trouble like that, don't you?> he whispered at the back of my mind. I ignored him.
"If you wish it, I will still come to your dojo if you wish to talk about things, or anything else," I offered to the man.

"No problem," I said. "Oh and, uh, Avalon? For future reference, I don't need to show you how to Forge a Sabre. Neither does Joshua. The blueprints int teh weapon itself. You just need the Itch to access it." (( ))

I smiled shyly at the older man, although how much older and in what way could be thoroughly debated.
"Oh, I know, but thanks all the same for telling me," I turned to leave once more, but paused and turned, looking over my shoulder. I subtly noticed that all of the guys, and at least one of the girl's eyes and attention had suddenly shifted away from lower on my body to solely on my head.
"Joshua has agreed to give Maya space," I told them solemnly, ignoring the 'I told you sos' from my Sword, "Unfortunately, Maya has apparently decided she needs more space than a single city can provide. She has left. As of ten minutes ago. I do not know where she is going, but we can all guess as to why."
Silence, no doubt absorbing what I had just told them.
"If you need me, just ask for me. I will come to you as soon as I am able."
"What, are you Caine all of a sudden?" Nicki snorted, her arms crossed.
I tilted my head in confusion and turned back to her. "Is there a Chinatown in L.A. ?"

'No, not that I know of at least. I was never very good at Geography or anything like that, so I don't even have a clue where I am right now'

"There's one in Sydney," I pointed. "But that doesn't really help right now."
((Sorry, guys. This sights been getting a little too serious. I now claim rights to go mental.))

"Well, if there is no Chinatown, just ask for me to the Air, the Earth, the Flame, or the Sea, and I will seek all of you out as soon as humanly possible." I told them.
"What the hell is that supposed to mean?" Nicki demanded.
"It is a spell net Joshua set up several years ago. If anyone speaks his name with the intention of summoning him near a body of water, on open ground, or to a flame of fire, he will know it, hear the summons and know where to go. The Air is a bit trickier, and works best from hieghts . . . but that was because he had weak scrying power. Even he admits that. Just ask for me by name if you ever need my help, and I will be there as soon as I can." I promised them all.

"Handy," I muttered. "'Avalon's paging service. I'm sorry, but she's busy listening ot a flame right now. Please try another element'."
((I warned you.))

I smiled, smothering the burst of giggles that would have erupted from my throat at that moment. "Appropriate actually. I am, after all, only human. And while I can be in multiple places at once, it would be a good idea to not try and drag me in two opposite directions at once. Now if you all will excuse me," I bowed and turned once more to walk away.

"That could be fun," I muttered darkly. I didn't really like Avalon.

I had stayed completely silent throughout, listening and observing to what was going on and I had alot of thoughts that were currently my highest rated.
Avalon seemed nice if slightly robotic. She needed to loosen up and be more human, because let's face it life sucks otherwise. And she needed to learn that "All work and no play makes Avalon a dull girl"
Secondly everyone was making very quick judgments on her which wasn't very good. If you immediatly decide you don't like someone then you pretty much can never go back and you'll never know if it could've been a really good friendship.
And thirdly I felt that in the midst of the depression, death and emotion that had been going on everyone needed a breather. If we kept talking shop then someones head was going to explode and I didn't really think anyone else was going to come back as a... Forgotten what Avalon is
'Okay guys, I think that we should all call it a night and go home. The sooner we... You all start to calm down then I think the better we will all feel tomorrow. It's hard to accept death but the faster you do accept it and begin healing, even if you weren't really affected, then the sooner everyone isn't going to be as emotional' I paused for a breath in my never-ending speech 'Because if everyone is acting like this, what is going to happen when a big bad hits town? How the hell do we cope? So I'm going to leave you with that thought, wish you all a good nights sleep and check you later'
And as I drew another breath, hoping that at least someone would take heed in my words I left the graveyard and made my home home.

"As much as it may ruin my rep," I began. "Tucker's right. Let's just head for our various homes, get some sleep and see what tomorrow brings," I didn't move to leave. Not yet. Call me sentimental, I needed to make sure everyone else was safe.

"By the way," Tucker asked as everyone turned to go, "Does anybody know if Avalon even has a home? Yeah, she's Joshua . . . but Joshua's dead, so she can't exactly use his stuff . . . can she?"
(((Sorry Tucker, but Avalon's already left and I needed somebody to 'realize' this little point. Avalon doesn't HAVE a home. Yet.)))
