I stayed slightly apart from the group, smiling little.
"I suppose we should get things organised," I said sudeenly. "First, you, Avalon, are meeting me at teh Dojo tomorrow. No arguments, no excuses, no refusals! You may have been trained as the perfect warrior, but you neither you nor Joshua know anything about the more subtle secrets of a Soul Sabre wielder."
"Excuse me?" Avalon demanded. I grinned smugly.
"Have you ever Forged a Sabre?" I asked.
"Um... no."
"Have you accessed your Sabre's powers to track another soul?"
"Um... no.
"Have you ever tried to speak to your Sabre Forger?"
"I can do that?" I smiled.
"Tomorrow, the Dojo," I repeated. The girl nodded slowly. "Now that's settled, where's she staying?"

(((Sorry Doc, but you're never online to discuss this stuff with anymore... Anyway, *slight* revision of Doc's part, totally my bad by the way.)))
"Have you ever Forged a Sabre?" Doc asked.
"Well . . . *I* haven't," I admitted. "Although I have been trained in forging many other types of weapons, as well as gunsmithing and making bullets."
Doc stared a little at my answer, but he just shook his head slightly and forged on, so to speak.
"Have you accessed your . . . Sword's powers to track another soul?"
"Yes."
That faltered him, I could see, as he hesitated before stuttering, "You, you . . . you have?"
"How do you think I found you people? I tracked the soul in your Sabre, Maya's soul, and tracked with my own senses the largest gathering of the most powerful entities in the city. Actually, through a combination effort, both Joshua and I did the tracking of souls. Next question, because Joshua says you have more."
"Uh, right. Have you ever tried to speak to your Sabre Forger?"
"I speak to him all the time," I shrugged off the question like it was no big deal, despite knowing it was.
"Wha--, what do you mean, how could you possibly...?
"Joshua forged himself. That's why he's slightly more powerful than the average Soul Sabre, and also why he prefers to be called a Soul Sword. Using the materials found on the Ghost Roads and inbetween the Crossroads, he crafted the only known Heaven metal Soul Sabre, and then possessed it with his own soul, creating the first ever Soul Sword."
I shrugged. "It's no big deal really..."

'Wow what a... Well, I mean this is the first funeral where the deceased has turned up. I'd say this would be a supreme moment for a drink but my situation rather forbids me from it'
It was still, to be totally honest, a chore to look at... Avalon. Having seen her as Jay and fought next to her it brought back unpleasant memories of the whole illusion we'd been in. The whole death and partial resurrection of Joshua was a bit of a shocker too, but Joshua was a showy kinda guy. I figured way before he wouldn't go without some kind of bang.
I stood silently, unsure what to say but not wanting to leave and be alone. Non-talking had never really been my strong suit though.

(((For the record, I have ABSOLUTELY *NO* intention of making Avalon anything resembling "all-powerful", like at least three other people on this board, one of the the moderator, have done with their characters.
Avalon is NOT immortal, but she IS highly-trained, and Doc is the one that came up with the whole concept of Soul Sabres, I just took it to the next level, not the ultimate level, but more like a Champions Level.
She cannot do magic like Nicki, Aredhel, and Maya can. At best, she can stop time, reverse it to a couple seconds before hand, move herself faster through it, and slow and stop others. Kinda like the Prince of Persia in the "Sands of Time" video game.
She's also trained in every martial arts, and more as far as fighting techniques go, that includes Kung Fu, and the Ninja things that "Joshua" was using more and more near the end, and everything Neo could ever do, and more. Simply because of *where* she was trained. Want more details on that, send a private message asking and I'll answer in as much detail as I've developed on Avalon's history.
Mentally, she's the most strategic, logical, and lethal mind among the group, so *there*, yeah, she is kinda "all-powerful", but I've also given her numerous weaknesses.
She is not a confident person OUTSIDE of battle. She has no friends except Joshua, and even that is more like a brother/sister relationship. She does not have ANY experience with the "REAL" world, only the world of her training and how she was "immortal" on that world because there, she was still just a soul. On Earth, she now has a body and can be killed or hurt. She'll have to learn that the hard way as it hasn't fully sunk in.
Lastly, she claims otherwise, he claims otherwise, and while their consciousnesses ARE seperate, she *IS* Joshua, the Joshua of "this" timeline, so her emotions and her "soul" is the exact same as his.
View that as you will.)))
(((Oh, and she is plain not interested in any kind of romantic or otherwise relationship beyond friendship, mentorship, or enemy. So if guys hit on her, she'll be very rude and defensive. If Maya is worried that Avalon will suddenly realizes Joshuas feelings, DON'T! She does not, and in the foreseeable future, WILL not be in any couple-ish relationship of any kind. Nor will *want* to be either.)))
(((Any other questions???)))

((Warning to Jshua/Avalon; I AM ABOUT TO GET NASTY!))
I looked Avalon, tapping my Sabre. Joshua got the idea and we met in that mental room again.
*****
"What?" Joshua asked.
"How did you Forge it?" I demanded.
"Huh?"
"His right," the other me said. "Only a Sabre Wielder can Forge a Sabre. How did you do it?"
"Well, er..." Joshua began. The two of us stared at him, awaiting an answer.

(((Only the kind of weaknesses I can't claim 'Training' over, meaning it doesn't matter if she has that weakness, she's been trained to overcome it and will. Also, she's been trained as the perfect fighter. The only thing that does not make her such is she doesn't have a Fighter's spirit (NOT literal), and she is lacking in the strength department. She has Slayer strength, but the kind of strength to make the Perfect Fighter/Warrior I'm talking about/thinking of is anime DBZ strength.)))
With a heavy sigh, I sat down on a bench that appeared at my thoughts. I looked up at the Docs and spoke, "Remember, before I died, that conversation we had about Soul Sabers?"
They nodded, looking unpleasanlty gruff at the moment.
"You wouldn't say much, but you did give me the name of the forger of your Sabre. I found him. Funny thing is, I found him before I died, here on Earth. In a different Soul Saber. I did a few months research in a matter of minutes, and then when I figured I knew enough, I initiated a mindlink with your "Master"." I sighed and took another breath.
"I didn't know nearly as much as I thought I did. And he's tougher than you talk about." I paused as both Docs suddenly chuckled. I smirked and chuckled with them for a beat or two. Then I sighed again.
"I explained to him what was happening to me, exactly, and what I wanted to do. Move to the CrossRoads and come back with enough power to help again. Having a Soul Sabre with me as my weapon struck me as a good idea at the time."
"What did he say to that?" one of the Docs, I didn't look up to see which one, asked.
"He laughed at first. Then he saw I was serious. Too serious. He sent me away, and in a very painful way, but it also slowed the entropy in my body for a couple days. His way of helping I guess."
"Then I died," I continued succinctly. "And not the way I wanted to either. Like you were, my soul was divided, one belonging to a different timeline, the other moving on to my next incarnation. Except that that incarnation had every intention of following through with my original plan, damning everybody and everything else."
"Avalon," they guessed.
I nodded. "Only difference is that *I* wanted to be that. Instead I got left in Purgatory, which really ain't that bad. Kinda like Nirvana, except no power resources. Same scenery though."
"Anyway, after being divided and learning that my other half had made it to the CrossRoads, I started wandering the Ghost Roads. Three seconds later, I met up with your Master, who had come to the Ghost Roads when he felt me die. At least that's his excuse."
"He began to tell me the things you wouldn't, taught me the same things he taught you, and started sending me on errands all over the Ghost Roads. Real time, I have no idea how long it took, Ghost Road time, I was running errands for him for over 300 years and then some. Turns out, I was gathering the materials for my own Soul Sword. Then he . . ."
I stopped and sighed again. "Well, he swore me to secrecy to never reveal to anyone, not my own student, not another teacher, no my closest friends, wife, girlfriend, or otherwise. Not even a brother unless that brother happened to be my other half. In other words, I can only talk about the forging of the Soul Sword we're now in to Avalon and she can't talk about it with anyone else either, so don't even try."
"So you're saying . . ."
"The First Soul Sabre of a dead Time Wizard, was tutored by the Avatar of Raiden and in essence is the latest and greatest sword he's made. Yet." I finished for them.
Then I looked up and stared them boldly in the eye, daring them, and promising the consequences of calling me a liar.

I chuckled. Both of me. "What's so funny?" Joshua demanded. "I told him you were trust worthy," I chuckled. Joshua's jaw bounced at least twice. "Why do you think he changed his mind, you dope? He asked me about you, told me your request. I convinced him to do it, on one condition." "Condition?" "Avalon's hands were convulsing while she was talking to Maya," I said. "She's got the Itch. She's got her own Sabre to Forge. Guess who it's for?" ((I am evil ))

(((Believe me, I can take some teasing. It's boldfaced slapping me in the face and kicking me while I'm down that I can't stand . . . no pun intended.
In short, No Big. Now let's see where we can go with this . . .
PS to Doc ({REPLY TO THE FREAKING "Realm" E-MAIL!! E and I have been waiting for you to reply so we can move on!! And saying ideas are good don't count, you have to write your part (Fight between a Master Assassin and Buffy with Buffy coming out on top)!!!! }) )))
"Well," I began to get a bit restless and started pacing, "Avalon *does* know how to forge a Sabre. And if she wanted to, and asked me to, she could forge a Soul Sword. But guys . . . I'm kind of at a loss as to who you're talking about. Who would Avalon be making a . . ." Suddenly it hit me like a ton of bricks " . . . NO WAY! Uh-UH!! No! Not gonna happen!"
Needless to say, they were both surprised by my reaction.
"It's bad enough that when Avalon returned she came carrying a Soul Sword, but if she makes and gives one to . . . NO! I refuse. I don't care, but if I have to, I'll stop her."
"What the hell are you talking about? And you can't stop the itch!" 'Real' Doc told me.
I decided to explain my reaction. "Avalon is a Slayer. She was from the moment she was created. And thanks to her training, she's actually a little stronger but that is SO beside the point!"
"Slayers go where they are needed. It doesn't matter if she's running away from her destiny or just on 'vacation', wherever a Slayer goes, she is needed. Avalon is like the SWAT team crossed with a Navy SEAL version of the average Slayer. I . . . we don't know what yet, but there is a reason she is here and there is a reason it's now."
"Your point?" 'Soul' Doc asked.
"In case you hadn't noticed, you've got your own destiny thing going on Doc," I angrily pointed out to him. "Soul Sabre bearers, Sword, Sabre, it doesn't matter! Bearers are almost on par with Slayers as far as destiny 'here and now' crap! A Slayer with a Soul Sabre is beyond beyond as far as destiny goes. Like I said, Avalon is bad enough, but I am NOT giving Maya the same crapload that the other half of my soul is going through!"
They just stared at me. And you know how much I hate the staring.

"Well then," I said as I joined the conversation, appearing out of the mists like a phantom, "perhaps it is a good thing that it is not your choice Joshua."
He glared at me while the two Docs just stared, stunned at my sudden appearance.
"How long have you been there?" he growled out.
"I have always been here, seeing as we are in my mind. But in regards to the conversation, seeing as what the topic is, I have been paying close attention since the beginning. Why? Did you feel that there would be private matters discussed as with your conversation with Maya?" I asked him.
He just glared at me. I smiled back.

"I hate to tell you, guys, but there is no choice," I said.
"Huh?" It was almost like looking like a mirror, except one was a girl.
"You were talking about Destiny, Joshua?" Soul-me said. "This is destiny. When you get the Itch, it means that the person or event that caused it needs you to Forge teh Sabre, otherwise things go bad. Real bad."
