"Give it up, I've already tried that." I said softly, but Rachelle jumped at my voice.
"Where the hell are we?" She whispered, letting go of the bars.
"In a cage." I replied.
"Where in a cage?" Rachelle replied through gritted teeth.
I shrugged. "Who knows. But we ain't alone." I said, and that was when Rachelle finally noticed them. Three dozen half demons sat in cages similiar to us, and all of them looked frightened. They watched us. We were one of the only demons who had the ability to have a human face, the other halves' had on their demon faces.
"Are you here to save us?" A little girl said, in the cage next to me. I turned to look at her, and she pleaded with me with her eyes. Her mother placed a hand on her shoulder, and she silently begged me to lie.
"Yes."

Where the... oh god, Jessy was right. Rachelle and Killian were gone!
[CHELLE!?] I mentally yelled, [Chelle! Killian! Answer me!]

I jumped, and Killian lifted an eyebrow. "Someone spoke in my head."
"Yeah, someone did that too." Killian said absently.
"What should we do?"
"You answer it." Killian said slowly, as if this was the most obvious thing.
"Oh." I replied. I had never had anyone talk in my head before, it was quite strange. But the voice sounded suspiciously like Maya.
[Maya? Is that you]

[Chelle. Thank goddess. Yeah its me. Where the hell are you guys... killian is with you, right? What happened!?] I replied quickly.

[We're all right...well, as alright as we can be considering we're in a cage. Yeah, Killian is with me, and about forty half demons in cages. I'm not quite sure where we are, underground perhaps. No ones hurt, but i think the others had been here for a long time. Wanna come and get us?]

[Yeah, on my way.] I promised.
"Yo, Ate!" I called out. Ate looked over from where she was conducting a group of demons in a dramatic waltz.
"Yup?" She replied, as if this was completely normal.
"Sorry to interupt the show, but d'you feel like teleporting me to where ever the heck Chelle and Killian are?"
She pouted a little,
"I was just getting to the big finish." She said, and then sighed, "Oh well, i guess i can miss it." She strolled over, the demons continuing to dance behind her. "Where to?"
[Chelle? Can you sorta mentally talk lots so we can track you?]
[Erm... ok then...] chelle replied, and started mentally singing
I grinned,
[oh i wonder who inspired that?] i teased. Ate grabbed my hand, and seconds later Rachelle was scowling at me from her cage. I grinned. Ate looked down to her foot, where a bewildered Demon was now lying, having grabbed her just as we left- she looked appalled,
"You messed up the formation!" She cried, clicking her fingers to send the demons back to his dance partner.
((btw, i am NOT Ate, i just know her, and she barely ever comes on due to her seriously demanding social life, so I, with my non-existant social life, write stuff for her!!))

I pulled my sword out of one of the few remaining demons and rolled my eyes. Damn Ate and her waltzing litte friends. Aralin stood beside me, bow held down, but ready to fire.
"Let's give them a reason to dance," I suggested. She smirked and pulled her bow taught. I, resheating my sword, did the same. In about a second, the waltzing demons were dead, with arrows sticking out of them.
"Now, what's taking Maya and Ate? Get in, get the people, get out."

I looked down from the rafters. I had been about to free teh half demons when the Scourge had brought Rachelle and her boyfriend in, which meant I'd had to wait for them to get in before dropping down, taking out both guards.
"Well, as cute as you guys look in there," I began with a grin, just as Ate and Maya arrived. "You two took your sweet time."
