"He's not my boyfriend!" I protested. Maya just smirked knowingly. "Oh, just shut up." I said irritably. "Come on you." I said to Killian, who looked highly amused.
"Where are we goin', lover?" He joked. I glared at him.
"If you don't want this dagger in you stomach, then i suggest you shut up." I warned. "We're going up."

I smothered my laughter and thought real hard about the other side of the street- i SO didnt want to run across the path of the army. I grinned to myself as i appeared in an alley across the road.
"Hell yeah." I murmured, and climbed a fire escape to a roof.

Rachelle and I climbed up onto the roof and jumped from roof to roof until we found a reasonably flat one. Rachelle put the bow by her side, and looked down...at the hundreds of demons.
"So," I said slyly. "Isn't this romantic. You, me, on a roof, all by ourselves, a great view of demons..."
Rachelle glanced at me curiously. "Are you hitting on me?"
"Why, do you want to be hit on?" I said slyly.
"No!" She said, as if this was the most obvious thing in the world. She edged closer to me and I took a step backwards.
"I know, dagger in my stomach...got the memo earlier. I haven't forgotten." I said, jokingly.
"Good, and you better not."

'Starting the party without me!' I thought as I snuck up beside a building near the army of demons, but making sure not to get seen. I loaded my gun with spine spresd bullets.
'This'll weaken them, making it much easier for the rest of slayers to fight them!' I thought. My gun can only hold a maximum of 8 bullets at any one time, but I had my throwing axes as well (also spine spread).

"We splat 'em." I said. "On o' my energy waves would take out a good chunk of them- we just gotta time it all right or we'll be the ones makig pretty patterns on the road."

I stared down at the army of demons, all marching up the street. Others had joined Maya and were preparing for battle, and I suddenly felt very guilty.
"This is all my fault." I said.

I winced. It was time I explained it to her. If she got killed in this, then at least she would know the truth. "It happened ages ago, six months ago. I met these demons...long story short, I took their money and they got pissed off. Next thing I know, they've joined this army and they start to hunt all of my friends, and me. Guess what me and my friends have in common?"
"They're half demon, half human." Rachelle said.
"Correct. Well, there was this big fight, and most of them died. One or two of 'em got out, including me. I guess they're here 'cos o' me."
Rachelle frowned. "How do you know they're here 'cos of you. They could just be trying to destroy the world...it could be nothing to do with you."
I smiled. "Wishfull thinkin', 'Chelle." I sighed. "But demons don't forget people who wronged them in a hurry. And also, you see those yellow demons over there, with the red horns?" I pointed to the demons and Rachelle looked.
"Are those the demons who-"
"Killed all my friends? Yep. And the thing about those type of demons, they don't forget in a hurry. In fact, they don't forget at all. Plus...I took quite a lot of money from 'em also, anyone else would be mad."

I looked back at Maya, agreement was on my mind.
'She should be one of the first to know!' I thought.
"I have the perfect way to squash them!" I said, an evil look on my face.
"how..." Maya asked.
I pointed to a large statue of armour standing over about 20 metres in front of the demon army.
"is that one of..." she started.
"The most phisically powerful of my bretherin, he is unstoppable! Literally" I said. (refer to Guarding Tucker, I kept going, and raised him)

I felt even guiltier after that.
"Forget this. Tell them to get out of here." I said to Rachelle, gesturing to Maya and the others. "This ain't there fight. They are all gonna get killed...and they don't need to. I'll deal with this on my own." I said angrily, looking down on the army, trying to find a way to deal with the army.

"How are you gonna deal with this? Run away again?"
"I didn't run away! They killed all my friends!" Killian argued back, furiously.
"They killed all your friends...I saw we kill all of them." I said coolly.
Killian shook his head. "No, you'll get hurt...they all will."
"We may get hurt...hell, we may die. But the funny thing about these guys," I gestured to Maya and Jessy, who were standing on the roof opposite. "They help you when you're down, they get involved with the fights, the battles. They're heroes, and they fight evil. And *that* is evil." I said.

I sighed, admitting defeat. "Fine, but it's your funeral." I looked down at the army, and saw with horror that a police car had pulled up infront of the army, and two cops had gotten out. Their guns were pointed at the army, but they weren't firing as the army neared them. Infact, they looked scared, and one turned on their heel and ran. The front of the army jumped on the two cops and broke their necks...then continued to walk on as if nothing had happened.
"Sh*t." Rachelle breathed.
"The Slayerettes better do something soon." I said quietly.
