All my fault

((Thankyou all. You have just given me a perfect place to bring in a friend. I've been trying to get him/her on for ages, but now he said he would come on, hehe, thankyou all again.))

[Pepper]

I flew through the skies of LA to Mai's appartment. I landed gently on one of the windows to see Doc leading Charlotte out of the door. I flapped my wings in disbelief. What was he doing??

[Maya]

"Could she have done it?" I asked josh quietly. "Could she really have done it without anything messing with her?"
"I dont know." He sighed. "But we saw what we saw."
I nodded slowly and choked a sob, leaning in to him as he wrapped his arms around me, "Goddess i hope i baby's alright..."

[Charlotte]

For the next day and a half Maya and Doc kept their promise. I wasn't left alone to do more than go to the toilet. I didn't sleep and i didn't eat, no one did muc hof either. Instead i spent hour after hour poring over books in thetraining centre or in the Dojo. Each time I looked up the clock seemed to have jumped huge leaps of time and i grew more and more desperate. Doc tried to be supportive, kept close by me and tried to make me eat but I couldn't let him or any one else even touch me. I felt...dirty, as if there was something inside me that was contagious so I tried to distance myself emotionally from everyone.
There were few moments of false hope. I'd believe for one second that someone had found something that could prove the existance of the voice but it was never so. I grew more and more distracted, less and less able to absorb what I was reading. As the sun began to set on the second day I suddenly realised that we were never going to find the answer. I wondered what they would do with me. Could they bring themselves to kill me? Would they punish me? I didn't know but I knew that I deserved what was coming to me. If we couldn't find the answer, there couldn't be one. At that moment I admitted to myself that I was guilty, no matter how much I had hoped to prove otherwise. I had tried to kill Aila based on my own fears and selfishness and I was scared that i would do the same to someone else. As the sun began to lower, i pondered what to do about this.

[Maya]

I had searched through every book i had- and considering my collection, that was really saying something. I had spent hour after hour looking for some way to prove that ache in my chest wrong. Charlie probably didn't realise that i was as desperate to clear her as she was. My own time limit was looming, and still i'd found nothing. The question of what happened next hung depressingly in the air.

[Nicola Next]

"Mai." I said softly as I wandered into her apartment to find her opening yet another book. "Sweetie you need to eat, wearing yourself out isn't gonna find Aila or clear Charlie any faster."

"I need to do this now Nicki. Before it's too late!"

I watched as she stood up and just waited there. She was tired, I could see that, and she just didn't look as full of life as Mai was supposed to. She was one of the strongest people I knew.

"And you will! But it's gonna get to a point where you're too weak and we can't have that can we? So eat." I frowned when she didn't move. "At least walk an inch, make me happy."

[Jessy Jackson]

I slept in the sewers. As soon as I awok I began again, staking, beheading and driving the vamps into sunlight. I watched the setting sun, not knowing hw much it meant to some. Watching it, I realised I was done. I didn't feel better but I needed o find charlie. I wanted an explination.

[Charlotte]

"It's too late." I said suddenly.
"What? No we still have a few hours Charlie." Doc said earnestly but he couldn't stop tears from spilling.
"no. We're not going to find anything. It must have been me Doc, we just didn't want to believe it."
"I don't believe it Charlie." He said softly but I retorted sharply.
"Well you have to. I don't know what you and Maya plan on doing about it but I did it somehow. I killed Aila."
"Tried to." He said quickly.
"Whatever. The point is it was me or even if it wasn't we don't have a clue how to stop whatever it was making me do it again. Doc my biggest fear is to hurt you, I can't let that happen."
"You would never hurt me."
"You never thought I'd be a murderer either." There was no response to give to that so we sat in silence for a few minutes, Doc still rifling feverishly through books whilst I sat there formulating what I had to do. When I had done that I pulled a pen and paper towards me and began to scribble a letter, crying as i did.
"Can I-" I began suddenly then restarted. "There's some things I need to sort out. Can I go?"Doc looked at me.
"I promised I'd watch you."
"Please." I begged, crying desperately. "I really-I have to do this. My time is up Doc, there's things that need to be done." I saw him soften.
"Half an hour." He said and I hurried out, heading to the place Doc had taken me our first night together.

((Third person))
Maya arrived at the Dojo just after Charlie left, looking almost despairing as Charlie had.
"No luck?" She said to Doc who shook his head. Then Maya realised Charlie wasn't there. "Where is she?" SHe demanded.
"She needed to do a few things." Doc said, still engrossed in a book.
"And you just let her go?" Maya stormed.
"She's got maybe an hour left Mai, before she thinks she's going to be killed or locked up or something. I had to let her." Maya didn't look happy but sat down at the book strewn table. Suddenly Doc jumped up.
"Yes. I found it. Mai, I found it. It wasn't her, oh g-d it wasn't her."
"Where let me see." Maya said quickly.
"A particular time demon who has the abillity to act through another body leaving no visible signs. Can act from far away and manipulate it's host psychologically causing great damage through them."
"But why would a time demon want Aila?" Maya asked.
"I don't know. Let's find out though, quickly."
They set to work feverishly, glancing at book after book until Maya lifted one from the table to find Charlie's letter underneath. She paled as she picked it up.
"What is it?" Doc asked and Maya silently handed him the letter.

[Pepper]

I had watched Charlie silently for two days now.No food. No sleep. But I had to find out what had happned. I couldn't wait any longer. I gently walked to where Charlie was standing in the street. "Hey" I said quietly. "What are you doing?"

[Charlotte]

As I ran along the dark streets I thought about what I had put in the letter.

Dear Doc,
First of all let me tell you again, i love you. I will always love you and never ever forget that. Wherever i go, in this world or another I will always think of you, you are forever in my heart. Secondly let me tell you how sorry I am for everything, for all the trouble I caused. I hope and pray you find Aila, I wish I knew where she was.

I'm sorry for what I'm about to do, I don't want to leave you but I wont hurt you and I wont let anything inside me that hurts people make me hurt you or anyone else. I wish I knew of another way but I don't, I wish I could get rid of whatever made me hurt Aila but I think that it might have been me, my mind and my fears. If that's what has to be destroyed to keep you safe then I will destroy it.

Please pass on my message to all the others, tell them i love them, I'm so gratelful to them and I'm more sorry than I could ever say.

Please don't worry about me, I'm doing the right thing and I hope that I'll be with my parents soon.

Doc, I love you, never forget that.

((Third person))
Doc stood up when he'd finished reading, his face bloodless and his eyes wide in anguish.
"What does it say?" Maya asked.
"We've got to find her, quickly." Doc yelled running to the door and pulling out his car keys.
"No." Maya said.
"What?" Doc asked. "MAya she's going to bloody kill herself. I have to stop her."
"By bike." Maya said and they climbed on.
<where would she go?> Maya asked as the engine revved.

((1st person))
I stood on the rooftop, looking at the great expanse of water below. It was rough, the wind whipped the water into waves which crashed against the walls holding them back. I glanced back at the spot where I had slept, fallen asleep whilst looking at the stars, and as they had done for the past two days tears came. I was frightened, it was why I hadn't moved. I was scared of that water though i knew I would enter it soon. I stood balanced on the edge, waiting for the moment at which I would do it...I would go to my father.

[Pepper]

"Charlie" I said loudly this time, coming up behind her. "What the hell are you doing?"

[Charlotte]

I tirned quickly. Damn, I couldn't let anyone put me off.
"Go away Pepper." I said sharply.

((Please don't stop Charlie Pepper-you can try but you wont actually stop her.))

[Pepper]

((Okay. Can I try though?))

[Pepper]

"Oh goddess" I whispered. "Charlie, you-you're not gonna....." my voice faded away

[Nicola Next]

I raced out onto the rooftop and silently thanked the Gods I had been nearby. I knew that trying to hone my smelling techniques would do some good, even if at the mometn the emotions I caught were fuzzy.

"Charlie!" I stood next to Pepper and looked at her. "Peps what's going on? Charlie what are you doing?!"
