I grinned up at Josh and he smiled back with such pride and joy that you might have thought we were just another couple like any other. But we weren't. We were a wiccan vampire slayer and an ex-timewizard ninja, who spent their days and nights fighting demons and bad guys- and this tiny child in my arms- she was already powerful and she was less than an hour old. I kissed her tiny forehead,
"Thanks guys." I said.

"Hey there, short stuff," I whispered. Aila looked up at me and then did the strangest thing.
She cocked her head to the left. Just a bit.
"Well I'll be..." I muttered. "You're aunt used to do that."
"I still do,"I smiled, straightening up and turned to face Tash.
"Taking some time of, sis?" I asked cheekily. "How's the Amazon?"
"Humid," she answered. "Bosses said I could check in on my new niece," she looked at maya and smiled. "Hey. I'm Tash. I'm Doc's - and i guess your - sister."

"Hey," I said quietly, my hyperness calming slightly. She was amazing. I was beggining to find everyone to do with Doc was amazing in one way or another.

"Well, considering how important this group is to my brother - certain people in particular..." Tash looked over at Charlotte.
"Behave you," I said playfully. "and come say hello to our niece."
"With pleasure," she said, looking at the girl. "Hey there, short stuff," the baby babbled happily. I could relate. Now, my entire family was here.
Things couldn't get better.

There was a bright flash of light, and Ate appeared with a broad grin.
"Hey girly." She said to me. I grinend back,
"Hey."
"How you feeling?"
"Good... considering." I chuckled.
"Well fairy goddess mother is here now." Ate winked.
"You got it?" I asked.
"Course i did." SHe held out a small package of tissue paper, which Joshua took with a slight frown,
"What...?"
"Open it." I encouraged him. He did as i asked, and found within a small pendant of blue stone on a fine chain. "Oh its beautiful!" I said.
"Sapphire. September birthstone." Ate said, "Rather powerful too i gather."
"Thank you so much." I said, and she leant down to kiss Aila on the forehead,
"Anything for my favourite girl." She said with a sweet smile.
((i'm saying its september cos they're pretty stones. lol. the timeline is totally messed up anyway!!))
