I squealed. i actually squealed. how... girly.
"Nicki!" I rushed forwards, huggin her before she had a chance to say anything more, then i pulled bak, and echoed the question, "Where the hell have you been!?"

"England." I said a little nostalgically, "Not been back there in a while..." I grinned, "Miss ya girl." i said, "An' Jess is right... a lot has happened."
"Nibbles?" Jessy asked, passing a bowl of cheesy-somethings our way. I grimaced,
"Ew, no." I said. several people starred at me. "What?" I asked.
"You've eaten practically nothing but cheese for like two weeks." Charlie commented."
"I dont feel like it right now." I replied. Charlie shook her head,
"Mai... what the hell is going on with you?"

I was still standing stock still trying to take everything in when Doc's innocent question made me giggle suddenly.
"O my gosh you have been away a long time." I paused wondering where to start. "Thank you. For the necklace. It's beautiful."
"and useful" someone shouted out.
"Yeah" I agreed. "But you can hear all that story another time. I'm really glad you came and I'm sorry I wasn't especially friendly before you left...I'm working on the non-human thing."
"That's cool." Nicki said still looking curiously at Doc. "But why...?" I went red again. "Oh" She said. "So...yeah...lots happened then."
"What about England?" I asked. After all I had lived there a long time and had a lot of happy memories there as well as a lot of sad ones, Like Mai I was a little wistful...Mai...cheese...suddenly I remembered one of the things that I had been trying to process. "I'll catch up with you later." I said abruptly to Nicki and not realising how strange I must have seemed I gave Doc a quick kiss told him to find me in a little while and walked off, through the crowd of people to find Maya who had disappeared.
It took me a long time to find her, on the way I was stopped by more people than I can remember. I wanted desperately to speak to Aredhel but I needed to find Maya so all I could do was pause and say thank you. Eventually, I reached the bathroom still reeling from how many people had showed up for this, just another thing I was struggling to take in. I heard a strange sound coming from inside and knocked on the door.
"Maya" I called but there was no answer. I tried again and again until finally she opened the door, looking slightly shaky.
"Charlie, hey. How'd you like the party?"
"It's amazing Mai, but what's up with you?"
"Nothing.What're you talking about?" She answered quickly but her eyes looked shifty.
"Mai. something's off and I don't just mean your taste buds."
