((Ok, this is now officially the latest thread, time line wise and all. I know that is awkward with the testing still going, but i couldn't wait!! Sorry. guess we'll just have to skirt around it!
Ooh, and again, all the good guys- the slayerettes- need to be here. either here already or turning up- and they must turn up before charlie!!
Basically its her surprise birthday party!!))
"Ok... so if we put the tables over here..." I said.
"Yeah- pile those ones up, we'll only need a few." Joshua agreed.
"You get all the stuff?" I asked Jessy.
"Yup. Lotsa food. Pringles, sweets... and cheese." She gave me a look, and i shrugged with a grin.
"Could you remind me again why i'm letting you do this?" Asked the landlord/barman. I grinned at him,
"Cos we're your most regular regulars and you love us dearly." I replied.
"Yeah, you also wreck my place more regularly than anyone else."
"AND we help rebuild super quick!" I retorted with mock hurt.
"Yeah yeah." he sighed. "Fine."
"Erm... where do i put these?" Asked a walking pile of presents.
"Over there Rory." i pointed to a table at the back.
"Where? I cant see you."
"Oh let me take some." Joshua said irritably.
"The others are on their way, right?" I asked for about the fiftieth time.
"Yes, Mai." Josh said, depositing the presents and coming to stand behind me, wrapping his arms around me, "They're coming. You can calm down."
"I know... i just want this to be... y'know, good. After everything that's happened recently we all need a bit of chill time, and happiness, and..."
"I know." He said, kissing my cheek. "It's all gonna be fine, Mai."
I sighed,
"You sure?"
"Positive."
((ok, just to note, that is NOT a cue for all the bad guys to gate crash. There is stuff that needs to happen here, so please no evil plans fro a while at least? This time it's actually meant to be a nice chill time!!))

"Where would you like the speakers?" I asked, carrying all four of the seven foot plus BOOM speakers.
"On the stage Lon," Joshua called as he put down the last of the presents.
"You do know how to wire these, yes?" I asked as I easily made my way over to the stage where karaoke use to be performed, until we took out the karaoke and put up the set-up for a Heavy Metal Rock concert.
"Doc does," Maya answered as she directed Jessy with the dishes and punch bowl.
"Is he here yet?" I asked as I sat the speakers down one by one around the stage.
"Yeah, he's in the kitchen making the dinner portion, who's picking up the cake?" Joshua asked the room in general.
"I got the speakers, I am not getting the cake too!" I exclaimed, wiping the grease and oil from my hands with a rag.
"Actually Avalon, I do need you to get one last thing," Maya begged and pleaded with the puppy dog eyes that really only worked on Joshua. He is my brother, not me!
"Get Shu to do it," I whined. Something I have not done in over 300 years, I can guarantee you.
"He's busy helping me," she snapped, before resorting back to the puppy dog eyes. "Would you, could you, pretty please go and get the "music", pretty please? And you're the only one who can do it and still get back in time before Charlie's due."
I sighed, rolling my eyes. "You two owe me for this," I warned her, and then flashed out of the building and headed across town, leaping from building to building as I went.
They had better not make me change diapers, that is all I want to know.

"Where'd Avalon run off to?" I asked as I brought the last of the gifts over to the table and returned to Mai's side.
"I sent her to pick up the Dingoes and that other group that you and Doc got for the party," she answered.
"I still can't believe the Dingoes Ate My Baby are still together after all these years. And that they let Oz back in after he left for so long," I commented as I soothingly rubbed her shoulders, giving her a short, but obviously needed, massage.
"Mmm," she groaned and lolled her head at my touch. "I asked Willow to call in some favors. And apparently the Dingoes never actually quit, they just "split in order to get more individual music experience", at least that's what Devon said when I spoke with him on the phone and asked him the same question, and as for Oz . . ."
I kissed her to shut her up, not that she minded.
"Remind me to limit the time you spend talking with Willow," I joked, drawing another slap on my arm.
"Now, what's next on your list, or master party-planner?" I asked, continuing my on-the-spot massage.

Alright, that's the last of the stuff in the oven, various deserts aside from cake ready to go, all is in readiness.
I checked my watch and ducked out to see how the rest of the preparations were going.
"Sound gear, excellent," I said, moving over to the gear as fast as I could, meaning faster than most humans. "I'll set it up now. We'll be ready in plenty of time."
"Um, Doc," Maya asked. "Are you...?"
"Fine, fine," I said, waving her concerns off. Everything had to be perfect for Charlotte tonight. Everything.

"Please remind me but who is picking up Charlotte?" I said, balancing crisp bowls along my left arm and plates of cheese down my right. I thought I'd arranged them very nicely; all cut into identical squares and each with a toothpick directly down the centre. Also useful as stakes but that wasn't going to happen today. No way, no how.

"Mai set her up with a spa treatment and agreed to meet her here around 6:30," I answered. "And everybody else confirmed that it *IS* just a spa treatment. And once Avalon gets back with the Dingoes and that other band of Doc's, we can send her out to make sure Charlotte's on time."
"Pepper would you mind helping Doc out with the speakers real quick?" Maya asked and then turned to give out other orders to other people, and I turned and went about helping hold the ladder for the decoration people.

I looked around, checking things off on my fingers,
"Food, presents, booze, people, Charlie..."
"Would you relax?" Joshua asked me yet again. I sighed, and looked at my watch,
"But people arent here yet, and if they're not here when..."
"they'll be here." He insisted.
"But..."
"Do you really think they would let you down?"
I sighed,
"I barely know half of them... but no."
"So it'll be fine then." He said,a nd kissed me gentley.
"Hm. yeah." I said happily. Today was one day when i would not let the horrors of my recent life penetrate our little world. "ooh!" I said suddenly, "I have the best idea!!"
"What?" He asked.
"Pep!" I called out.
"Uhuh?" She replied sticking her head out from behind a speaker.
"You can teleport with other people, right?"
"Yeah..."
"Could you take me home real quick?"
She frowned, but did as asked, and about five minutes later we reappeared, me holding a box of witchy-supplies.
"What the..." Joshua began.
"Thanks Pep." I said. "I'm gonna put up wards! Stop any badguys gate-crashing!"
"Good idea... but how long..?"
"Not long." I promised.
"Reckon it'll go quicker with a little help?" Said a voice behind me. I turned with a squeal, and hugged the other wicca,
"Willow!"
"Hyper much?" Asked another of the large group that had arrived.
"Faith!"
"And the whole crew." She said, indicating the group, which contained several SIT's we'd met in Cleveland, as well as the original scooby gang, a short blonde guy with a gorgeous girl on his arm, and Spike.
"Wow." I said. "Charlie's gonna be blown away.
((the short blonde is Andrew, in case you're wondering, and the grogeous girl bit you'll only get if you watched the last season on Angel, when he's in Rome...))

"Yeah, Pep, This is Willow. Thats Faith, Buffy, Xander, Giles, Dawn..." Then i moved on to the girl standing with Willow, and those behind her, "She's Kennedy, erm..." I winced, "Katie?" The next girl nodded happily, "Vi, Rona and Sara. Then of course..." I grinned at the Blonde vampire, "We have Spike, and..."
"Ah- Andrew." Spike introduced him, "And... Sophia?"
Suddenly another two people burst in, one saying,
"Girl, it's LA. There are gonna be vamps- but when you're goin' somewhere, and they're not actually doing anything...."
"They were vampires. They would eventually have fed on your people..."
"But you still ran off! Angel's still off looki..."
"Er, Gunn?" Spike cut him off, and the man looked round at the staring group. His Blue haired companion looked a little bewildered.
"I still do not understand this concept." She said.
"It's a party, love." Spike said. "Mai, people, this is Gunn, and Illyria. Captain forehead will turn up soon."
I smirked,
"RIght. Well this is Pepper, Jessy, Rory, Doc is back there somewhere, and for those of you who dont know him, this..." I grinned, "Is Joshua."

I knocked on the door.
Jessy answered it and saw the red mark on my face.
"What happened to you?" She asked.
"Oh, went to the wrong house!" I said, looking over at the old lady holding the broom across the road, I rubbed my face a bit, "Gees some people are anti-social around here!"
