Alright, so I'm technically not avoiding him. I just haven't been near the graveyard or near his apartment at all. I couldn't quite believe that this all was for real. So here I was, trying to be hidden like I always seemed to do in the market and I was good at it... until everything with Raven happened. I kept earning all sorts of stares from people. Damnit.

"You know, if you want to hide, going somewhere full of ordinary, oblivious meat puppets would probably have been a wiser choice," Doc said from behind her with a grin.

"Old habits." Figures. Apparently now he's doing the whole stalkerish thing. "I'll make sure to keep that in mind next time." Takign down such a big mark like Raven had it's positives and negatives. IT was like placing a neon sign over yourself. You could hardly go anywhere without being noticed within the paranormal community. Really wish it would dissipate.

"Relax," he said. "It'll die down so... Hang on a tick," he said, turning around. "Oi! You meat heads wanna look elsewhere? A picture might last longer you know?" There was a shuffling and a little bit of embarassment as people started moving on. "Like I was saying. It'll die down eventually."

"Comforting and I don't need you to do that. Time is something that I have plenty of. It's just... annoying. I like being only a small blip on the whole radar..." Yeah, but Raven was a pretty big mark so it'd take longer. Which meant that stronger game would end up coming and after making the graveyard a dead zone... Things weren't going to be easing up anytime soon it seemed.
"Good night I suppose?" For me it'd been slow but I wasn't hunting tonight. Maybe later but for now I was thinking and trying to find something to do, something to pour energy into.

"We could hang out?" He offered. "If you want."

"Um... Sure." Damnit, this whole new territory thing was just weird. There was no reason for this to be a big deal. It was only Doc... which was part of the problem I suppose. Carrying a torch for the guy for so long then after everything... It was just... alien.

"Cool," he said with a small smile. "because there's a rather nice shop that i think you may like just around the corner."

"Alright, lead the way than."
Somehow he always seemed to know all these different 'shops'. Certainly reminded me of the time in China Town when we were attacked by Raven's men. The man had too many connections, though what he could find in the black market was beyond her.

He led her down the road and around hte corner with a smlie, stopping in front of a particular store. The shop front window was filled with just about every imgaineable type of bladed weapon, and some that looked like they would be near impossible to wield. "I actually don't have anyone owing me a favour here," he explained as they headed fro the door. "I stumbled on it by accident. the merch is pretty impressive and they can be, uh, descreet with special orders."

"Special orders?" The only thing I could think up was enchantments over the blades but in the right hands it seemed silly for a blade to be anything other than a simple blade. Though I could assume this was where Doc got the knife he left me but it could have been from anywhere really so as likely as that was it was also as unlikely.

"Yeah, you know," he said, pointing at one blade as they walked in. The blade had rather nasty hooks right down the edge, ending in a split at the tip that was just as hooked on both side. The blade was obviously made for slashing and causing damage and pain. "Things that wouldn't be legal if you're job was interogation and torture."

"Alright... not interested in anything like that." Weapons of that sort had little use in what I did but I could see how they would have a use in what Doc did. His means of extracting information was very different from my own. Funny that his caused more phsyical pain and yet we first met by him saving an attempted murderer. Life was certainly an interesting bitch.

"That was just an example," he explained. "You could have a regular swords and knives custom made and fitted specifically for you. Like the hilt being moulded specifically to your grip."

"You're still not swaying me away from a simple plain old sword or dagger." Chuckling I shook my head at him. Yes I am stubborn. I also seriously doubted I would change on that. Ever.
