"Lucky." I may like having her around but at times I hated her. But such was my life.

"No, never my intention," he said. "Though I do think we were made for each other. Like to loonies escaped from the asylum. Harley and Joker, you and me. Not that i expect you've ever seen or read any Batman..."

He was trying not to choke on his tongue at the first comment efore answering the second. "Yeah, well, if I'm going to try, I may as well go all out."

"Are you going to start opening doors as well?" Why was he constantly doing 180s with me. One moment cold, the next inviting, and now almost loving... Turning to look at another selection of weapons I tried turnign my thoughts into other topics.

"Well, i coudl try, but knowing my luck, I'd try it on an automatic," nervous? Him? Hell yes. What the hell did he know about relationships?

"It was a joke, don't worry about it." Yeah... my jokes tended to not be very funny. Might just be my dark humor.

"Yeah, I figured. Trying to carry the thread," obviously never heard of something like that. Or he might just be a joke killer.

"Right..." With a half innocent grin I leaned against a cabinet, playing with a dagger in my hand, looking at him cooly.
"So was there actually a point to this little side trip or did you want to show me a bunch of long pointy things you can stab into people with?" No innuendos there. Never. Okay, so I was testing the waters but his answer would be amusing... and if he took it seriously then at least it would provide a point as to why we were here.

"Well, i didn't have to take you HERE for that," gee, that didn't have a double meaning at all. "But i thought you might like it. you know, in case you needed a new sword or... something... okay, i just wanted to spend a little bit of time with you. Is that wrong?"

"It's weird." I hated admitting it. It was a step forward but it really took some getting used to. "I mean, yes, I want to try and you know, this is what I wanted it's just very strange." Honesty. Something rare between us but we both wanted it. I hoped. Wouldn't make a very good relationship otherwise. Relationship, what a weird word.
"I don't like this odd feeling between us and it's probably just me feeling it." Though I paused, looking up at him. "You really wanted to spend time with me?

Was he really thick enough to ignore her long enough for her to doubt he wanted to spend time with her?
... That was a question that really didn't require answering.
"Yes, i actually do want to spend time with you."

"Oh." One of the few times where words failed me. Placing the dagger down I did I sweep of the shop, acutely aware of how there seemed to be no one entering the shop besides the fact that the market was busy today. Probably scared of me... or whoever runs the shop. Hard to tell when you had no idea who the shop keep was.
