Things had gotten crazy since he'd arrived in LA. He'd made connections, somethi9ng he hadn't done in a long time. He'd probably broken one or two as well. Saved the world. Robbed an office. Met a vampire that was probably as fucked up as he was. But then, she wasn't the only one.
A Slayer, a shifter, another talented, a new werewolf... quite the mix. Quite the disfunctional... group? Were they? He really wasn't sure if they were, or could be. Too many personalties, perhaps? Too many other things.
He looked around the slightly crazy surrounds that were Chinatown. He always liked it here, in the various ones he'd visited over the years. It was... relaxing, in some way, with the vendors and restaurant owners vying for your attention, the strange atmosphere, unlike what he was used to in a more westernized setting. It gave him a chance to think.

Rogue watched him walk along the streets. She knew his scent like the back of her hand now. All she had to do would be to cross a path of his and she could find him given the trail wasn't too old.
The months had turned forth to colder weather and she had to wear a jacket all the time to blend in and not be singled out.
She walked right up and continued in stride next to him. "You seem deep in thought."

"Maybe a little too in thought," he said blandly. He hadn't even know she was sneaking up on him. He really had to stop doing that. "Anything i can do for you? Or are you going back into stalker mode?" Okay, that was unnecessary, but I was in a really strange mood. Too deep in thought. Too much happening.

"I can do as I please," she said, walking ahead of him, holding her hands out with a grin. "Halloween was last week," she grinned twirling. Okay, so she was noticeable now but Halloween always put her in a good mood, even if it was after the fact. Autumn was always her favorite time of year.

"I...see..." He'd never really paid much attention to that holiday. Still, it was nice to see a smile that wasn't a smirk. "So, just out for a walk then?"

"Yes," she replied, staring at him. "Autumn is my favorite time of year." She watched him for a moment before asking, "What is YOUR favorite time of year?"

THAT caught him by surprise. Since when was she THAT interested in him?
"I've... never really thoughtof it," he admitted. "Seasons kind of meld together. Especially back home," he gave a chuckle. "Ah, Australia. New season every week., gotta love the crazy weather."

"So you never let yourself just feel the weather changes? The crisp air of autumn, the cheerful winter, the feelings of new life in spring, and summer... well okay, that one I don't like, even when I was alive," she said watching him before falling back into step with his strides. "Seems like a dull life."

"Maybe," he said. "I was always... busy. Training. Searching," Dull. Yeah, you could say that. Dull. boring. Empty. Which, in a way, is the way he liked it. the way it had to be.
Right?
Maybe.
"So, why so talkative?" he asked, curiously.

"Just am," she replied with a grin. She wasn't sure herself BUT it was fun to keep him guessing. She liked messing with his head every once and a while.

"Kind of a reversal of roles," he commented. "Here's me, brooding and thoughtful and you're being the overly talkative cheerful one," he gave a dry chuckle. "Who are you and what have you done with Rogue?"

"I have her tied up and at my expense," she replied being a smart ass.
"And why are you so thoughtful?"

"Things," he said vaguely. "Happening a little fast ofr my liking. Thinking maybe I shouldn't be here," he chuckled. they'd already had this convo. Well, kinda. "Maybe I should get out of town. Don't think I'm really needed here. Or wanted."

"And who said you are unwanted?" she replied with a grin. "Who would want to have a vampire around?"

"Not exactly making too many friends," he said idily. "My little stunt with Jessy just proves that I shouldn't be working in a team of anyone. I just... can't trust easily. Not without proof. I should just get a move on. Even now..." he looked at her seriously. "I've already gotten every escape route mapped in case you decide to take a nibble. Even after opening my 'home' to you, I still don't properly trust you. I can't. I've been burned to many times, I... Psh, listen to me," he shook his head and continued walking. "i sound like some badly written fictional character spilling his guts for exposition."
