"Hmm..." she said, leaning close to his face. "Is that a good or bad thing?" Her face was only an inch or so from his face before she kissed him lightly. She was curious, how quickly would he push her away? If so than she'd have the answer she wanted to this whole mess.

Doc froze. images of the last time she got this close to him coming unbidden to his mind, and the reason she did it. His face hardened, his eyes going cold. Damn her.

She pulled away with a sad smile. "Thats what I wanted to know. You take care of yourself and don't pull those stitches. They'll hurt." Getting up she grabbed the random magazine she stole from the waiting room before tossing it at him. "Wouldn't want that now would we?" Alright so she was a bit bitter but it was the way things went. People weren't always predictable and sometimes you had to break out of pattern to get any answers. Reactions told more than words.

As she exited the building she all but hissed at people in the hall ways. He was an infuriating bastard. Of all the people in the world why she fell for one of the few guys she couldn't help but hate at the same time. He was an idiot, a bastard and a great many other things that came to her as she walked out into the night air. At least things out here weren't sterile, finally she could just breathe.
This whole thing with him wasn't going to end well if she continued it. Better to try and forget anything to do with him.
