"You talk too much..." she pointed out, her eyes never leaving Raven's. She supposed she probably looked like hell covered in dried blood, and her eyes yellowing, and she hoped she looked more menocing and less like a drowned rat from the rain prior.

"So you've said," Doc noted, eyes never leaving Raven. "So what's the plan this time, Raven?" Raven almost looked thoughtful for a moment.
"I'd rather you dead," Raven remarked, pulling the trigger. Doc managed to move, his mana enhanced Talent allowing him to dodge, but the bullet still hit, though missing the heart, dropping him hard.

She wasn't sure on what exactly her thoughts were at that point in time, all she knew was that she reacted, hand grabbing his throat and crushing his windpipe nails breaking through flesh without stopping. His hands gripped her momentarily but fell shortly after to his sides as blood seemed to drip from the wounds, his last breath something between a gurgle and a choking rasp. After his body went limp and his heart no longer beat under his chest she unflexed her fingers like a cat retracted it's nails, letting his useless corpse fall to a heap on the ground.
Taking an unneeded breath she turned to Doc, her face still in it's human guise, before kneeling neck to him. His heart was still breathing which was a good sign but that also was a an indicator that she could help him, the only problem was she had no first aid training. Death and destruction was her tools. Being an expert in both made her powerful but here in the field of saving a life from the brink of death she was powerless.
Stop the blood flow.
Ripping off part of his shirt she attempted a make shift tourniquet to try and stop the bleeding. Ripping off another to press against the wound, her eyes watching, waiting, unsure of what to do next.

"You know, that was my favourite shirt," he complained weakly. "Oh, and calling for help would be smart. Remembering dumbass had three phones? You know I really don't get that," he began to ramble. "I mean, why three phones. His, one from Raven and what?"

"You know, doesn't matter what the other bloody phone was for," she snapped, going for the phones, grabbing one of them before handing it to Doc. "I don't know how to work the damn thing, nor do I know where we are."

"You need to come out of the 17th century, babe," he slurred, dialing 911. and waiting for the operator. "Hello, hi, I've been shot," he said as an opening statement. He was starting to feel really light headed as he slurred out the address. "You think you could hurry? I'm about to pass out..."

"Yeah, right... cause I need to use those things. This is the first bloody situation where I've ever had any need for the damn devices," she said, keeping pressure on the wound. "Jolly good plan. You thought mine was bad? At least I had a plan that would only get you beaten, not shot. I swear if you weren't dying right now I just might kill you." Damned fool. She hated to admit it but she was concerned for his life. Damnit. Hanging around him was certainly a bad idea. "I should have let you walk away when I saw you the second time in the demon bar."

"Sometimes, I think you would have been doing me a favour," he said seriously. "then I think about how i probably would have been dead several times over. And I kinda got used to having you around," silence for a moment. "Yeah, I think bloodloss is getting to me. By the way, I still hate you."

"It probably is," she replied, no longer looking at him. "Would have been much simpler." She hated admitting to herself that she liked having him around but she wouldn't say that aloud. "If you survive this..." You better survive this. "Than don't worry alright?"

"I'll try not to," he said, blinking. "Yeah... I think I might pass out now," his eyes closed slowly as unconciousness claimed him, the ambulance sirens sounding in the distance.

Leaning back in the highly uncomfortable hospital chair she sighed. It had been 24 hours since he had been shot and hadn't once left his side except when he was being operated on. Damn he was a fool. She was a fool for not checking to see what lame plan he had cooked up. At least she spend time going over details and making sure she had an escape route. Instead of a plan he winged it and got shot which of course made her worry which only got her all the more angry at him.

"Ow..." Doc mumbled. "Just... ow," not much more he could say, really. Oh yeah... "Getting shot sucks."

She gave him an annoyed look. "Uh, yeah it hurts. Try a head shot next time, see how much that hurts." Without looking up at him she flipped to a new page in the random magazine she had stolen from the waiting room.

"Remembering, i wouldn't get up from a head shot, i don't think that'll happen," Doc nuttered. "What are you still doing here, anyway?"

Flipping to another page she made herself more situated. "Did you want me to leave?"
