Looking at my own reflection When suddenly it changes Violently it changes Elizabeth didn't like her going out on her own but she promised that she wouldn't go out to any graveyards and only wanted to walk around LA to get to know it better. Plus Elizabeth was busy still with something to do with a large black bird and grading finals for her other job. Even as she walked through LA she could sense there was more to LA that she couldn’t see. Her ‘spidy sense’ as Andrew used to say was tingling and it hummed through her whole body, making her feel as if she were connected to LA’s very core. It wasn’t until someone bumped into her did she awaken from the trance she was in, looking around she saw someone moving down the alley she found herself in front of, her senses telling her that he was a vampire. With an almost mad grin she walked down the alley, walking straight towards the vampire who was poorly dressed which made him look as if he belonged here in this alley, probably pretending to be homeless so people would walk down this very alley and ignore him which gave him the perfect opportunity to catch them off guard and enjoy a meal. She walked straight up to the vampire, not even waiting until he showed his game face to attack him, foot striking out, catching him in the gut, a surprised yelp coming from the vampire, not used to straight foreword combat. Get up, come on get down with the sickness Open up your hate, and let it flow into me Madness is the gift, that has been given to me

He was just walking past when he heard the yelp of pain. He'd been trying to deal with the whole Raven situation, trying to get over what had happened. Maya had been a help, he hadn't thought she'd step up so soon, but... well, he'd underestimated her, he guessed. It felt good.
But to the current problem.
He rounded the corner, entering the alley to see some girl beating on a homeless guy, he took a breath, stepping forward. "You know, i understand wanting to clean up the streets, but isn't that taking things a little too far?"

"Vampire," was all she said, punching the homeless guy back against the wall.

"Um, this is probably a really, really stupid question, and feel free to tell me to shut up," Doc began, looking at the homeless guy. "But if he's a vampire... shouldn't he be, oh, i don't know... fighting back by now?" He was trying not to be snarky, really. It just... wasn't working. "You know, yellow eyes, bumpy face, at least throwing a punch? Yeah, okay, I'm not an expert, but i don't know too many vamps that are just going to sit there and take a beating like that."

"I'm postive that he's a vampire. Waiting for me to think he isn't or he's a coward," she looked at him, watching the vampire before plling out her stake.

Doc moved forward quickly, wrapping a hand around her wrist. "And if you're wrong and he doesn't poof into dust when you hit him with that stake? What then? Did you even think about checking him for a pulse?"

"I'm a slayer, I can tell." she forcefully took her wrist ouf of his hand. "Spider sense."

"Why is it most of the Slayer's I meet are violent maniacs?" Doc sighed. "Admittedly, I've only really met two full powered and Rogue was a vampire as well. But still!" He shok his head, walking past her to check the homeless guy. "Didn't they teach you anything? Just because your 'spider sense' - seriously, who's idea was that? - tingles, doesn't mean he's a vampire. Could be a no-violent demon or someone with a strong magical core. Even i know that, though that might come from reading stolen Watcher diaries. Aaaaand, i probably shouldn't have said that..."

"Andrew said i was called a spidy sense, but he misponounces vampire every time. Calling them vampyres." he turned to the vampire who now had his game face on. "See. Vampire."

Doc cocked his eyebrow at her, looking at the 'homeless man' then back at the Slayer. "You know, if it was a vampire the whole time, you should have just gone with the stake while he wasn't trying to fight back instead of pummeling him til someone came along," he stepped to one side as the vampire charge, sticking his foot out to trip it. "all yours, crazy Slayer."

She gave him an odd look before stepping out of the way of the vampire and staking it, letting it fall to dust before turning to look at Doc, tilting her head to the side as she watched him, some part of her was interested in him, and the whole situation seemed oddly familar. From where she stood slightly behind Doc she touched his back. "Hero? Why did I want t call you hero? You aren't a hero."

Doc raised his eyebrow again. This was one weird Slayer. "I most certainly am not a herom: he said, turning to face her. "Names Doc, by the way. Just... Doc. You are?"

"Dana," she replied watching him curiously. "You have a habit of speaking with slayers?" She had heard what he had said earlier about having met two others.

"Yeah, sometimes," he said with a shrug. "One I actually spent 15+ years searching from."
