The fights were certainly getting tougher and tougher but with each challenge she won she gained a little more confidence that this all might just go her way. She just needed a bit more supplies. Everything else was set. She was sure her idea was going to work but she knew Doc might not forgive her for a while but in the long run it would be worth it. Raven was too big a threat right now and in order for Doc to be less afraid of him she needed Raven weaker.
She looked around the crowd, part of her hoped that Matt would approach soon, she needed his help for her plan to work. Funny how two small items would help bring such a powerful man down to his knees but she hoped and needed it to work.
Even though she was sure she was going to win... there was no guarantee that she would and she liked the idea of being alive.

Matt sat at the bar, siping his drink lightly, thinking through the information the Council had on 'Annie'.
Annie Amina Cross, aka Rogue. Formerly the Slayer, currently a vampire. No wonder she kicked so much ass. Doc was just as interesting. Real name unknown, birth place unknown, wanted by the Council for several break-ins, thefts, kidnappings of Potentials... The two made quite a combo. It really made him wonder what their angle was.

"Was beginning to wonder if you were planing on returning or not," she said, not even turning to look at Matt. He seemed pensive, part of her wondered why.

"Yeah, well, was waiting for a little info," Matt said, sipping his drink. "You're rather famous, 'Annie'. Or do you prefer Rogue now?" He looked at her pointedly. "Of course, you're file is rather tame compared to Doc's. You know he's wanted, right?"

"He's mentioned it," she said, stiffing before calming herself. Was she going to have to kill him? Shit. "And it's Rogue. Doesn't seem fitting to use my old name." Why did she have to give him her old name? It was one of the only few ways for her to make sure Doc wouldn't kill him. "The council took his sister and killed his parents. I say turn around if fair play. Though from what I understand his methods were no better than that of the council's." If he was connected to the council, did they now know of her existence?

"That's... information they didn't know," Matt said. "Certain files went missing in the explosion, no clues on where or who. Some of the old guard tried to pin it on Doc, but from what Coal overheard..." he gave her a tight grin. "Wasn't on purpose. You caught her at nap time."

"Right..." she said, not knowing who Coal was. "It doesn't excuse his actions against the council nor his current feelings about them. Nice to see a slayer in charge though." She wasn't biased at ALL on that one.
"And try NOT to use that name here." He was using Doc's name a little to freely for her liking. "I may be dead but I like living."

"Alright," he said seriously. "I can understand why you kept thi to your self, but it's info we needed to know. If... he has connections to the man in charge, he might have info we can use. Besides," he added with a small smile. "Apparently, the guys in charge of Appropriations want to try and hire him."

"None that he wants, he wants to cut ties with him which is why I'm here. He was thinking of running... I don't want him to." She was willing to admit this since she needed his help to get the items. "Which is why he's going to hate me for what my plan fully involves. Of course you cannot let him know. Feel free to plant doubts in his mind about my loyalties, it'll make it all the more believable for him. I need two things, a lock pick and a... bug? I think thats what they're called. He had me watch some spy movie. I don't watch movies usually but he thought I'd enjoy it."
Double crossing people was a talent. She could read people easily and the skill came in handy. Hell, got Doc to agree to help her and she knew for sure there was the possibility of something. That something was precious to her and she knew that he might just hate her for what she was planning to do.
"Think of it as a David vs Galaith thing if you must. He has a lot of money, power and he goes by unnoticed. With all the gang violence going on in LA he can slip in and out and nothing gets pinned on him. If that changed there'd be a lot of shit hitting the fan." She grinned dispite herself.

Matthew's eyes narrowed slightly. "Just what are you planning?" he asked carefully, something not making him happy about the way she had spoken. "I can get what you need but... I don't like the sound of this..."

"Over the years I've gotten quite good at making people believe I'm something when I'm not, comes in handy in many ways. I just usually try and use it on one person or a group with the same interests at the same time. Lets just say he might want to stake me even when he realizes it was all an act," and it'll probably kill any possibility of a relationship. But she didn't say the last bit out loud.
She didn't hide the fact that she was doing this for him and she wished she didn't need to involve him but if Raven was as evil as Doc was trying to get her to believe than Raven would love nothing more than to torment him further. Getting the discussion caught in some form of record and turning it over to several human authorities would harm Raven more than anything. Sure killing him would get immediate results but she wanted him ruined; then she wanted to kill him.
"But it'll be worth it." Even if Doc staked her? Possibly. If nothing else he'd be pissed beyond reason. "I need you to gather anything you can on his activities. Treat it as life or death if you would. I am going to give you my results and I'm trusting you to hand them out like candy. Send it everywhere." She spoke vaguely. "People need to know what he's been doing and the people he's hurt."

What she was talking about... "Damn, you know he's going to go postal, right?" He looked at his drink. "I mean, really. This isn't going to be pretty. You sure you want to do this?"

"Which one?" she asked, grinning. She really knew she was crazy and this was probably a horrible idea but she felt she could handle the fall out. "I've run out of options and this well get the job done. He keeps himself very protected and he's got a necro from the whispers I've heard. Obviously I wont do well against a necro being dead and all. So I need help that I know I can trust until the immediate problem is solved." After that she'd have to make herself scarce. She liked being alive and wasn't keen on being staked.

"And do you even know what this is going to do to him?" Matthew asked. "I don't know the guy, but if he's as messed up about all this as you say..."

"He'll survive, he's got a reason to do so that has nothing to do with me. It's the reason he's still sane after everything that has happened to him." He hoped more than anything that he could form a relationship with his sister. He was strong enough that she believed he would win out in the end. She hoped he would...
Although now hesitant she still believed it would work. "He'll probably want to stake me, I can live with that."
