"And if they are?" I asked the question, which I'm sure she and half the people of our group had been dreading, "And aren't Draconis," I added, "Then what?"
We all looked to Doc and his Cajun companion.

"Den we take care of it," I said, letting slip my Aussie accent again. They all stared in shock. "People threaten me, threaten mine, I take care of it, neh? It's why I'm 'selling' dis place," at that moment, both me and Des cracked up.

"OK," ignoring Maya's questio for the moment and directing my statement to the warriors, "Expecting these assassins, human, demon, or whatever inbetween, the *LAST* thing you want to do is sell the Dojo. 'Home Alone' ringing any bells? As sucky funny as those movies were, they proved a great strategic advantage. Bring the bad guys on your home turf where you can prepare and set up every trap imagineable and then knock'em down, humiliate them, and get their asses so beat down that they have to look up to take a shit!"
At the looks I got, I got kind of confused, until Des smirked at me in a way I *definitely* didn't like and said to Doc, "I like him. He's got spunk."

"Yeah he does," I said. "Unfortunately, that punk sometime overrides his brain."
"Hey!" Joshua ojected.
"You remember when i said I was heading for the Dojo to set up a surprise?" He nodded, still not getting it. "These bounties are why I'm 'selling' this place, even though I'm not."
"Huh?"
"Francois puts dis place up for sale, a mysterious buyer, moi, buys it up," Des explained.
"Meanwhile, i make extra preparations," I said with a smile. "Francois Delta nine! Code Red! Lockdown!"
"Lockdown in progress." A computerised voice said. Shudders closed on the window as walls flipped revealing weapons of every imaginable description. More shelves containing weapons appeared from the floor and a stairway opened in one corner of the room. "Surprise!" I said enthusiastically at to the group of fish impersonators.

"So that was why you had me moving all those boxes to the basement . . ." I exclaimed, surprised.
Everyone, except the cajon and aussie, looked at me in confusion. "Long story. Suffice to say, I was practicing my astral projection power. I'm still working on getting past those wards you put up in the Girl's lockeroom Nicki. But I'll get past'em eventually," I teased the girls with a lecherous grin. They knew I was teasing.

I grinned back, "You'd regret it if ya did." I promised. "I doubt that." He replied. "She means that me an her would be here when you got back to your body." Nicki said. I tapped my temple, "And i KNOW you wouldn't be ablet to help thinkin about THAT."

I looked around the room and asked, "You sure you got enough weapons here?"

For once I ignored Tpot's crack, (heh, I made a funny), and I think took the wisest course of action by remaining slightly subdued for several more minutes, and "staying the hell shut up" to quote the very subtle and almost quiet telepathic message Maya had just sent me.

"This is just the appetiser," I said with a grin. "There's more stuff down stairs. High tech gear, low tech gear, every book me and Des have, plus a forge and a vault."

'Wow this is... Impressive to say the least' I wandered over to a particularly nice looking black crossbow and turned back to Doc, a grin on my face 'When can we play!'

"Probably when, and not until, the bad guys show up Nik," I heard Maya comment while I myself was looking over a couple sabers right next to a very advanced artillery system. What made it so advanced was, first of all it was Long-Range artillery, and secondly, it was HAND HELD!
"Yeah Maya, but some of this stuff... we'll need training in how to use," I said, just managing to keep from drooling.

'Oh I'm so with Joshua on this one. I mean if we want to effectively take out said bad guys then we'll need some previous experience with the weapons'
Joshua nodded
'We know *how* to kill the bad guys but if we do a little training before hand then we can really kill in less time and therefore kill more'
'See it's a perfectly good scheme' I watched Mai give a little frown
'You two look like kids in a candy store. I'm not sure which it is, pathetic or adorable'
I batted my eyelashes
'Oh obviously adorable'
