I grinned sheepishly, "I may have, sort of, possibly bled on it a little."

"May have possibly bled it on it a little," I moaned. "And Del rolls her eyes when I get paranoid."
"Is this bad?" Maya asked.
"I don't know," I admitted. "I hadn't finished researching it. I just thought you'd look at it, may throw it around."

"Er, D, honey, we're inside, and this thing is like razor sharp- chucking it around would be a bad plan. And anyway- this gives us more writing to figure out what it is! And you said it was meant for a slayer... maybe this is how its meant to be activated!" I pouted.

"Or enslave a slayer for demon inside to control?" I offered.
"Oh."
"Yeah, oh," I shook my head, looking at the quickly flowing writing. "Where's the bloodu pause button on this thing? 'Blood calls to blood...Power of' - wait, come back here... Nuts! Wait... 'Power of Hunter's Kin, combined to call the truth. Blood calls to Blood, secrets revealed'," our reaction was imultanius.
"Huh?"

"Oh faboo." I said sarcastically. "It's not enough to figure out how to read the bloody thing- it then talks in riddles- dont you just love dealing with mystical stuff?" I groaned, "Just to note- if it does make me into a psychopathic loony slayer, please look after my bike?" Doc raised an eyebrow at me. "Im not having no loony me smashing it up!" I explained.

"Will you please shut up!" I snapped, bringing myself out of my concentration to look over at Doc and Maya. What I saw caught me a bit off-guard, as they were looking at some sharp and deadly boomerang very intently. My elven eyes saw the letters flowing. Whoops, maybe I should have been paying attention.
"Sorry," I muttered. "Just trying to concentrate, didn't realize you were talking about something important. As you were."

((Maya, beware! Your interuption into my carefully prepare plot is about to turn your life upside down.))
This is nutso," I muttered, lifting the 'rang out of her hand. The writing changed. "Now what? 'The NOble Guard shall find his unknown and they shall stand together as family, for such they are. Slayer and Wielder. The ones who know these words..."
"...Brother and Sister?" Maya gasped. I looked up at her.
((cackles evily))

"Thats not.... I mean... how can... uh-uh." I shook my head, "I mean, no offense hun, but that cant... huh?" I whimpered in confusion.
((isnt that a little major to slot in? this is before joshuas death and emptiness and all that... so wont it be a little hard to explain why we never mentioned this??))

((I realised that AFTER I wrote it. It just seemed too cool to wait. However, I've come up with a little something so we can 'shelve' it for future use.))
"It's probably just figuratively," I said, placing the 'rang back on its shelf. "I mean, I already think of you as mu little sister. Why do I need a little something like blood to make it offical?"
"You're right," Maya agreed. She smiled mischeiviously. "Big Brother."
"Smart ass," I muttered, turning to Del. "So, anything else of interest in that scroll?"
((See? Shelved. Now we can bring it up after 'Proof' in like a prophecy or maybe someone comes up with proof that it meant literally.))

((aaaaalright, Doccie, if I do anything wrong, just let me know and this post shall be edited!))
I though she hated me. At least, I had until she showed up a few weeks ago. I'd always just assumed that she'd despised me and what I'd become - she despised the demon at least. For thousands of years, I'd assumed that the demon was the only thing she saw in me. When she came to me those few weeks ago, I began to think that maybe she'd had a change of heart, but now I saw the truth. She hadn't changed at all.
"She did it for me," I answered quietly, hearing Doc's question. "It says here that the elf, the Noble Song, put her power into making the sabre to save a loved one. Her sister, the Noble Elf - that's me, by the way - was taken over by a demon, but Aralin knew that her soul was still there, bound to the world and never to leave it. She hoped that," I paused, taking a breath - unneeded yet calming nontheless.
I was reading straight from the scroll, re-translating the words (which took much less concentration than translating the first time).
"The Noble Song was a powerful elf, not taken to consorting with other races as she was very proud. She gave forth her power on one condition, that it be used for the betterment of her kin, the Noble Elf, whom it is said was possessed by a demon through the mixing of blood. The Noble Song hoped that, by using the sabre, her kin's soul might be strengthened to fight the demon within, and reclaim mastery over the living shell - the body," I added in.
Doc raised his eyebrows. "The first soul sabre was made to fight your demon?" he questioned, a bit dubiously.
I shrugged, placing the scroll gently in the table in front of me. "I'm not saying that was the entire reason, but that's why Aralin helped. There were other people involved, who more than likely had their own agendas as well..."
((and I'm stopping there because I'm out of relevant things to say lol))

"But Aralin did it to help you," I finished. "Kinda makes sense, when you think about. I mean, Des' Sabre restored her soul, so...wow. That's...well, I mean, that's good, right? It means she still cares about you, even though she doesn't really show it too much. No offence."
((That's perfect, Del! Exactly what I was going for.))

"Whats going on?" I asked, well aware that i was doing to irritating bystander act as i tried to get a look at the writings.

"Long story short?" I said. "Apparently Aralin was involved in teh Forging of the first Sabre trying to find a way to help Aredhel fight teh demon inside of her."
"Oh," Maya said. "Wow."

((not sure what to write now, so this is sort of a filler post I guess....))
I stood up, pushing away the scroll. This was a bit too much. I wasn't sure what exactly was going on in my brain, but I just didn't want to read any more. I didn't want to know. It was almost painful, to know that I'd caused that much. She did all that work, and for what? Did it help me? The sabre never found its way to me; she tried so hard, and to no avail. And I couldn't fight the demon. I still have trouble.
On the other hand, it gave me a sense of hope. To know that she had always tried, always laboured to help me, made me feel warm and fuzzy inside. I knew that she was truly my sister. We were kin, and that bond ran deeper than I had ever thought possible. I slaughtered the remnants of her family - my family - and she still tried to help me. It was uplifting.
But I didn't want to read any more. I didn't want to learn it all from a scroll. I should have heard it from her. I shouldn't have had to wait three million years to hear it in the first place.
"Where are you going?" Doc questioned.
"Home," I replied easily, "to see Aralin. I need to talk to her."
"You can't do that," Maya said.
I kept moving towards the exit. "Watch me."
"No really," Doc put in, catching Maya's train of thought. "You can't."
"Oh? And why is that?" I challenged, starting to get irritated.
"It's day," Maya replied, a bit hesitantly.
I stopped, turned around, glared, and sat back down. "Fine."

Damn.
Damn!
Aralin had tried to help and instead, Excalibur ended up in the hands of a guy that had no idea what he had...
Wait a sec. Those who Forge Sabre's can detect them, because the Forging needs something of the Forger. Something from inside. And if Aralin had intended it for Aredhel, and the others didn't have anyone in particular...
"Does Aralin know how to use the telephone?" I asked. Maybe she could finish what she started after all.
((Me. Am. Evil!))
((And before anyone say anything, the Sabre could be majorly lost and we never actually go looking for it because Lin can't find it for some reason. But the possibility is still there.))
