I waited for the others to walk off before I spoke. "Doc?" He turned. I stood far away, in case he decided since the battle was over I was the enemy again. I smiled slightly.
"I just wanted to say...thanks. Fot not killing me on sight." I turned away and started to walk away into the shadows. But then I stopped. I turned, ran back and hugged him. "Thank you." I whispered. I drew back, paused and kissed him on the cheek. "Thanks," I said a final time, before running back into the shadow.
