((Ok, bored now, and as Jessy and Pepper have been bugging me, i have decided to start it- and no, i do not have a set pattern of what i wanna happen, so feel free to have fun. But dont make it easy! These bastards are gonna be HARD TO KILL!! ;D ))
So here we stood, a group of friends and allies who had been through everything, from hell to death, together. We were in a circle in the main room of the dojo. To my right was Joshua- we werent holding hands or even touching, but mentally we were clutching each other. To my left, with my arm around her shoulders, was Aila, her expression showing no fear, but tense anticipation. I looked round at the others- Doc, his jacket donned, weapons consealed in every possible place; Jessy, eyes starring blankly at something on the opposite wall, her jaw set with grim determination; Jack, looking frankly scared, but valiently trying not to- this was his first major fight with us; Pepper and Chime, their identical faces showing very different expressions of Anxious readiness, and dark amusment; then Tpot, who kept glancing at Pepper, as if she would be snatched away from him any second; Rogue looked almost bored, as if in her long life this was no more than another battle; Aredhel and Aralin- the elven sisters stood together, grogeously carved weapons of all sorts fitted about their persons, and expressions of respect for what they were about to face- they were the eldest of us all, but they would never make the foolsih mistake of underestimating an enemy; finally, my eyes fell upon Charlotte. She too had been looking round the group, and our eyes met. Each of us knew the other well enough to know we were intelligently fearful, but each also heald a steely look of never failing grit- neither of us would give in until our lives were ripped from us. There were more of our allies out there, positioned round the city, the country and the world too.... I glanced down once more at the ancient book in my hands, at the primitive drawing of a huge spider like creature with twelve legs which lifted it to tower above the tiny people drawn below it, the tallest of their heads coming barely close to the knee joints of the smallest demon. The massive bodies were caked in a thick armour-like hide, and ominous, gigantic black eyes dominated the heads the size of trucks, great mandiples protruding... one pair of which held a full grown man and sported the only colour in the whole scene... i had a horrid feeling it was real blood. I snapped the book shut, causing several people to start, then sigh. The silence stretched, broken only by the sound of blades being sharpened, or the odd awkward cough, until suddenly, we all heard it, or rather, felt it...
A deep, bone chilling rumbling, getting slowly louder. Weapons were drawn, or checked, or shifted in hands. Josh squeezed my hand, and then i rested it on the hilt of my light-soul-saber. With the barest of glances at Doc, he, I, Josh and Aila at my side, led the way towards door.
This was it.
