"Two chances," I mouthed back, keeping the weird pseudo intelligence currently within my Soul Saber (gotta work out what that is) between me and Maya. "She gets brainwashed, or she liked those stories too. It may happen," I clarified, "but don't hold you breath."

In another part of the grave yard, I was walking around trying to find out where Maya, Doc, and Joshua had gone. I threw a fireball over to the left of me then watched as a very dusty vamp hit the ground. Then I saw Doc in the distance and ran over. "I don't think shes staked the vamp yet. On the plus side I cooked one back there."

*Finally I grabbed my book away from the vamp and dusted him with a growl*
"The asshloe took my damn book"

Everything in the graveyard stopped, completely.
All of a sudden, it was like the whole world was a videotaped TV show and somebody had just hit rewind. Except for the fact that the vamp remained dusted and everybody gathered around Rogue Slayer once again.
"Book?" I, the Time Wizard, repeated. "This, *THIS* was all over some *BOOK*!!! It better be a spell book or a diary or maybe even an official chronicle of something supernatural because if this was over a silly little novel, I swear..."

"A novel? Please. It's a spell book of coarse. It's one of a kind full of anceint powerful magics. It could easily bring the first to it's knees."

No one quite knew how to respond to that, except through the usual emotions of fear and respect, as always whenever in the presence of the Rogue Slayer, and for a couple of minutes everybody was just kind of eerily quiet.
(((Or until Maya or Nicki log back on with something to say...)))

"It's not a story book, it's a very powerful spell book," I said simply. "Not to be rude but I don't think we've meet before. "

"Can I...?" I asked, mvoing to look over her shoulder. "Tome of some kind. Not really sure about the language. I think this says something about 'warriors strength' but that's going from the Latin I know, and it's not quite Latin. Close, but not quite."
