"TPot. I heard you around," I said with a bit more enthusiasm than necessary. It gained a look of the others. "What? T and me are mates from my time in Oz. One of the guys we hang around gave him the nickname, and it stuck. Relax, he's a good guy. A bit wierd sometimes, good."

"Last I was aware, we're *STILL* waiting for Rogue to stake the damn vampire and explain what it is he stole from her crypt or whatever it is she sleeps in." I answer.
I yawned a bit. It was late, but not too late. However I did have an early morning . . . not that it would be a problem since I can, and usually do, freeze time to give me enough hours sleep and still make it to class on time.
"Hey Doc, let's head on over to the next yard. Fun as it is watching a vamp get tortured, this is passe to me."
"I agree. Sounds good mate, let's go." With that the two of us walked off.

"So what's really up?" Doc asked when we far enough away from the group.
"What makes you think anything is up?" I asked, trying hard not to turn and look my friend in the eye.
"Intuition. Now talk," he demanded.
I stopped and sighed. Then I grinned and laughed at myself a little. Then I shrugged to myself, figuring, 'What the hell.'
I turn and face my friend and ask him straight up, "Do you think Maya likes me?"

"Hello? I did spend a couple months learning how to control my new power with her and her teacher, Willow. And anyway . . . you hear stuff, stories, especially when that woman gets on a roll with her babbles."
"Anyway," I said, moving on, "I don't suppose you've ever heard about a couple of people named Xander Harris and Cordelia Chase, have you?"
Doc stared at me, then rolled his eyes and rubbed his face in exasperation. "Oh you have got to be kidding me," he cried out.
"I'm serious, the whole opposites attract thing has some real credit to it," I kept on trying to convince him.

"Hey! Guys, wait up!" I called as i ran up to them, "Rogue still hasnt staked the stupid vamp- i got bored. So whats up?" They both looked at me like kids caught with their hands in the cookie jar. "What?" I asked, "What!?"

I looked desperately at Doc, and when I saw his expression I knew I had nothing to worry about. He didn't want Maya to know what we were talking about anymore than I did.
"We were talking about my training with you and Willow over the past couple months," I answered her 'whats'. "And I was telling him some of the stories that Willow told me about Xander and Cordelia."
Not a lie, and part of that magic training was learning how to keep your mind thankfully blank.
Good thing Maya's telepathic powers can't delve into someone's memories without physical contact, I mused to myself.

((erm, yeah they can, but Maya doesnt like to dig deep anymore after a convo ages ago with doc about private thoughts... so no harm done. But she can read minds without physical contact.))
"Oh." I said, a little deflated. "I thought it might be something interesting. Y'know, gossip!" I grinned at Doc. "Oh well. Urgh, dont tell me the only damned vamp around is the one dumb enough to rob Rogue?"
