I walked through the familiar rows, feeling the spirits alive in the night. It had been a long time since I had laid eyes on the sombre headstones. I noticed a few new ones as well: death does not stop. Sighing inwardly to myself, I moved on, hoping to avoid the detection of a Slayer. I had meta few in my time, but the new ones had trouble distinguishing between friend and foe. Many humans did, for that matter.
I paused outside an old mausoleum. The cold stone building had once been my home, a place to return to when the light of morning hit the earth. I pushed open the door, holding a breath (though I didn't need to take it in the first place) in hopes that it was unoccupied. My prayers had been rewarded: there was no sign of life (or unlife) at all. I dropped my pack and looked around.
"Home sweet home," I muttered to myself.

I crept through the dark graveyard as a mouse. I saw a figure enter a mausoleum. I had bounded up to the door in a trice. It was definitely a vamp but then not a vamp. She seemed different. Not evil. I took a chance and transformed back into my human form. "Hi," I said, keeping cautious with a stake in my hand.

"Jess?" I called out, "Where the hell did you go? It's way irritating when you do the mouse thing! Jess..." I frowned, "No. F*ckin. Way." I gasped. The was a crypt just up ahead, a crypt i knew well, and the door was ajar. I knew now Jessy was inside, with someone else. I ide grin crept to my lips as i stepped forwards, and heard Jessy say "Hi." I pushed the door open, saying, "Yeah, hi there, vamp." I said, trying to keep my face neutral. "Long time since we've seen you in these parts."

I don't knon what possessed me to be in this part of the cemetary, I just was. I looked up at the mausoeleum, wondering what Del was up to. When I heard her and Maya's voice I almost thought it was a dream, or some kind of halucination. I peeked around the door frame.
"Well I'll be dipped in sh*t and rolled in breadcrumbs," I gaped. "Has the world ended? Has someone set up a probability altering field over LA? Am I dreaming?"
"Not that we know of on the first two," Maya said. "And why would I be in your dreams, Doc?"
"Actually, I was thinking it might be Joshua's," I said wickedly. "But then I realised you weren't in spandex. Welcome back, Del. Hey, Jess."

As I saw the human slayers enter the crypt along with a fellow undead (you ARE undead... right?) I was filled with happiness, and at the same time anger. Happyness because I was able to see a fellow undead in these parts and angered because I had absolutely NO idea how the slayers would react to the undead one. I still remembered my first encounter with them, not the BEST possible way to introduce yourself, but it was over and that was the past...
I walked in behind the slayers with a few undead minions to show the newcomer that I too was undead.

"Zeroc, hi!" I said unenthusiastically.

'Guys!'
Great. Can't find a single soul in theis damn graveyard. I mean you walk around, you see graves, crypts, people going into crypts, grass and... Wait a second. People going into crypts is bad enough but that's Del's crypt!
I ran over and rushed in, seeing Del!
'Ohmigod it's actually you and I haven't seen you for so long and there's so much to tell you'
Mai laughed
'Calm down Nicks, you need to breathe occasionally'

I grinned at the others; at leat, I attempted to. My grins always came out as smirks. But, it was good to know that I was missed. And it seemed that a lot had happened since I'd been gone; the slayers seemed to have picked up another undead.
"Well well well, the gang's all here," I drawled, not losing the amusement in my eyes. I had missed them. "And we seem to have some newcomers." I didn't hold out my hand to shake, only flipped my long hair over my shoulders.
"I'm Aredhel, elf turned vamp. And damn I could go for a drink. Who's buying?"

"Jessy, what's up? Um.. Hi. I'm Rory." Nearly all the gang was here. I sensed that this vamp was a friend.

'Drinks on me my sweets... I wonder if we can round up the rest of the gang, it's expanded you see' I rolled my eyes 'Total mayhem but good for saving the world'

Saving the world - right. There was a time when I worked for that cause; highly overrated. Of course, I wasn't exactly against it. I never would be. Damned soul, always screwing me over. On the upside: it kept me alive. No slayer kills something with a soul. At least, no slayer who's still alive...
"So, the Spot still the place to be?"

"When I last checked, yes it was. But then, these guys don't tell me everything." I eyed them suspiciously.

I laughed, though it held a bit of contempt. I looked over at Nicki, Maya and Doc. "You have to be a mind reader to get anything out of these three," I said, jerking a thumb at them.
Of course, the fact was, I was a mind reader. But I wasn't exactly sure how much these newcomers knew about me. In fact, for all I know, they only knew that I was a friend. I looked them over, my grin never leaving. Pushing my hair over my shoulder again (it has a life of it's own, I swear), I nodded.
"Good team you got there, Slayer."
