I put down my flaming shield and ran and puched this god in the face, catching him by surprise.

(((He's already got his saber, I gave it back!)))
[glow=red,2,300]"Ah, a challenge! Good, I'll enjoy this! Who knows who might win! You all seem powerful, but I can ALSO grow in power! Just watch..."[/glow] I said powering myself up.
Lightning came from the sky, striking me, clouds appeared, making it almost as dark as night, and I grew in power, even more then twice my power before.
[glow=red,2,300]"...and that's just the tip of the Iceburg!!!"[/glow]
My hands glowed green, 'no more talking!' I thought, 'lets get this going!'
I turned into a green puff of smoke that re-appeared behing Joshua, I threw him against the wall, which appeared not to hurt him.
[glow=red,2,300]"Ok, this is going to take a bit more then that!"[/glow] I teleported again.
'Behind you!' Something in Maya's head told her as I teleported behind her, I got hit in the face.
[glow=red,2,300]"Sh!t you hit hard!"[/glow] I admitted, stepping back.
'Mabye not the best idea.' I thought, 'but how'd she know I was there?'
Something in Maya's head told her to throw psychic energy my way.

I watched as Maya started to attack the god and doing a pretty good job it to too.
((Sorry. I didn't see that))

"Why is it always me they pick on?" I asked no one as I dragged myself out of the debris.
With a sigh, and shaking the dust out of my hair, I picked my weapon back up, reactivated my amulet, and got back into the fight, backing Mai up.

I jumped to the wall, and looked at Maya, somehow, she was able to pinpoint my location wherever I was! Then I saw it, or more like felt it: a fraction of the power was still inside her head, and for some reaason seemed to help her, a soul that I killed mabye? I didn't know, but what I did know was that there was something in there, giving her directions as to how I fought.

I looked at the so-called 'God', then my sabre.
And laughed.
They all looked at me like I was crazy.
"Haven't found one powerful enough?" I chuckled. "Mate, you have bitten off a hell of a lot more than you can chew."
"What do you mean?" Tyriel demanded.
"I mean, I am currently holding the final Sabre of Toya Kushinada, the greatest of the Soul Sabre Masters. Only Excalibur can top this baby," I launched a pencil thin beam of pure soul energy form teh Sabre, knocking Tyiel back. "Sucker."
((Back story; Soul Sabre's come in three levels, First works, which are the weakest, with a slightly wilder power, Normal, which has a more average power and Final, the most powerful and refined. Toya Kushinada lived two hundred and Fifty years, in which time he mastered Sabre techniques that have sunk into legend.))

((lol everyone's got a weapon... mine of course I completely made up... but meh.))
My grip on the Celebhith tightened as I watched the battle unfolding before me. My search for the ultimate weapon, the ultimate treasure, the only way I had left to speak to my daughter, my gateway beyond the Silver Mist; I had finally found it. And now, watching Tyrial, this arrogant god, I had somewhere to use it. If he thought he was invincible, he had another thing coming: God's have been defeated before.
The only problem now was, if Maya was fighting Tyrial (and holding her own quite well, I might add) when did that leave me to attack? I grinned, a deadly glint coming into my eye. Right now was when I would attack. If Maya got in the way; so be it. The Celebhith would not harm her.
"Gwaith fëaro, á tul nin! Mornië alantië; á tulya i alata!"
Power of spirits, come to me! Darkness has fallen; bring the light!
Immediately, a surge of energy ripped through the glowing orb atop the staff. I fought to hold my balance and stay where I was as the power of the spirits was released. A beam of pure white energy tore through the night, heading straight for Tyrial.
((note: basically what this weapon, the Celebhith (celeb=silver, hith=mist), does is it harnesses the power of souls who have pa$$ed away. It can either be used as a way to speak with a specific soul (originally why Aredhel wanted it: to talk to her daughter) or, as shown above, as a weapon. That's pretty much it.))

I saw as the white beam flew towards me, I didged it and looked at the weapon she was holding.
'Mabye not the BEST way to attack, but I have done SOMETHING at least!!!' I thought.
[glow=red,2,300]"You may have won the battle... but you haven't won the war!!!"[/glow] I told them, then I flew in the opposite direction, then vanished in a green puff of smoke.
(((See ya, people, this is it, I can't post anymore after today because I'm busy tomorrow, complete day is taken up, and I can't post anything while it's not the holidays, so these will be my last... For now... *evil lauge*)))

"Well," I stated as we all gathered around Aredhel after the very strange green-puff man had disappeared, "That was bracing."
I got several wierd looks, which of course annoyed me, until one by one we all were drawn to stare at Aredhel and her new weapon. At least we were assuming it was a weapon.
"Cool toy," I spoke again when no one else did for a couple of seconds. "I'd just like to know one thing before asking to play with it like a stupid mortal, are we talking equal to, or more powerful than the Sword of Power which belonged to your daughter and I returned to you, which by the way not until after giving it a couple swings, by the way I'm sorry about that, but I did polish it before returning it to you, so what's this thing called anyway?"
"Willow, are you possessing my boyfriend again?" Mai asked, coming up beside me, and giving me an even wierder look than what everyone else was staring at me with.
"What do you mean 'again'?" I asked her, deadpan and staring her right in the eye.
Laughing nervously, Mai quickly turned and asked her long time elfin friend what her new "toy" was called. I wasn't fooled, and I *would* be bringing this back up again later, I promised her.

((weee been gone for a couple days... went to Hamilton with my sister to visit my cousins... good times!))
I looked briefly at the weapon in my hands, deciding that it would do no harm to educate them in it. I wasn't in the business of keeping secrets from them, and telling them about the Celebhith wasn't a huge choice.
"This is not a 'toy' Joshua," I almost snapped. I knew he was just being casual as usual, but this was important to me. "It a weapon and a treasure," I said slowly. "It's called many things, but its most common title is the Celebhith, which translates roughly to Silver Mist. It was an heirloom of my family for generations, and it is the most powerful weapon I have ever laid a hand on."
They knew what this meant. I had laid my hands on a lot of weapons. It certainly wasn't the most powerful weapon ever to be found, but in the right hands, it could be a very destructive force.
"But what does it do?" Joshua pressed.
I thought for a second, thinking about how to word this all. It was rather simple, but it needed the right explanation to get the whole meaning across.
"Simply put, it harnesses the power of souls," I said. "In elven lore, when a person dies, their souls passed over the ocean - beyond the silver mists of the world, which is how it got its name. My five times great-grandfather forged the Celebhith in order to call the souls back. It can be used to simply speak to a soul (which I should point out was its original purpose) or, as just demonstrated, it can be used as a weapon. A soul is what keeps you good, gives you a conscience, which makes it especially powerful against evil; the Celebhith harnesses a force of pure good. I mean, how many weapons do you know that can do that?"

(((Sorry, I just can't resist)))
Immediately over half of us raised our hands, mine included. And being the forerunner of running his mouth this evening, I of course spoke up first. "As far as legend goes, there is Excaliber, the Power Rod of the Monkey King, and a Sword of Destiny. As for practicality, any Soul Sabre imbued with the raw power of a 'good' soul."
Mai shrugged and added, "Buffy's Slayer Scythe."
The others added their own examples.
"So . . . on power level, Celebeth or Sword of Power, which is bigger?" I couldn't stop myself from asking.

((well, since you can't resist, neither can I )) I raised an eyebrow. "Alright, number one, I met the real Arthur, his sword was nothing special. As for the Power Rod of the Monkey King and the Sword of Destiny, I wont even go there. And the Scythe, well, forgive my humble opinion, but I was led to believe that it held the power of Slayers which is far from pure good, dears." I paused, then shrugged. "Soul sabre's a pretty good example though." I looked back at Joshua. "And as for bigger power," I shrugged, "it really depends on who wields it, and who gets hit with it."

"Um, no offense, Del, but Excalibur was the first Soul Sabre," I said. "Arthur just didn't know what he had."

((bah! Doc's being a bum.. time to remedy this mix-up... sorta )) I raised an eyebrow at Doc. He questions me? "Are we talking about the same Arthur here? Like, Arturius, the Roman soldier? The real Arthur?" "Wait, I though the whole Roman thing was just a movie," Joshua put in. I rolled my eyes. "There was a reason they put that little thing up at the beginning. He was an actual person. Honestly, you think I don't know these things? I lived through it. I'm a primary source here!" Aralin put a hand on my shoulder, startling me. I had, until that point, completely forgotten she was there. As it turned out, she was. Damn. But I knew instantly what she was thinking, and that she was right. Arguing about what was what wouldn't get us anywhere. Damn her. My grip loosened on the Celebhith a tiny bit. I took an unneeded breath and faced the others. "I won't argue the power of other weapons with you," I said slowly, Aralin's hand still on my shoulder. "I will only tell you the power of this. To further my response to Joshua's question about pwer, this I say: In the hands of a mortal, it does considerable damage, but they run the risk of being consumed by it. In the hands of an immortal or a very powerful mortal," I looked at the group; more than one person fit into the latter category, "it can do a lot worse. But in the hands of any one in my house, the house whom it was forged by and through whose veins runs the blood of Aratar (the original maker of the Celebhith) - Aralin or myself..." I trailed off. "Even I do not know the full extent of that power. Of course, in the end, it is still a weapon, and only as powerful as its weilder...." I had completed telling them all of the details I thought they would know about the treasue. There were mysteries surrounding it that even Aralin didn't know. I'm not sure any soul alive today could tell the full extent of its power. But one thing was certain, I planned to find out.

((I've hinted on the Excalibur thing before, so many times it should have it's own thread. Latest hint was earlier in searching when I laughed at Tyriel.))
I wasn't going to tell her how much my Sabre was jumping around from the feeling of her weapon. That was her story to tell. I trusted Del. If she wanted to keep secrets, there were reasons. I'd wait.
"Well, if lord smoke and mirrors is taken care of, I'm headin' home," I said. "I've got things to do. See ya."
