Everyone just kind of stared at the shapeshifter for several long moments, frozen in their preparations as various thoughts and scenarios of what that sentence could mean.
Suddenly Jessy seemed to catch on to what all the guys were staring at and she blushed bright scarlet before shouting, "NOT like THAT!! I meant a huge animal like an elephant or a Brontosaurus. Not..." she paused and looked down at her chest, feeling herself up, "...not that I need to make myself huge... do I?"
"NO!" all the guys quickly and hastily moved to deny or answer in the negative to that question and shortly resumed preparing their weapons. A few, who were known to have interest in Jessy however, kept glancing back up at the shapeshifter before back down to their weapons.
Except for Joshua, who was mostly just sweating over his guns and pole arm as his girlfriend Maya stared holes into the back of his head.

I lay there, very injured, and in pain, but it wasn't something I wasn't used to, I slowly got to my feet.
"It's not a demon... it's something... else, more powerful, it specifically asked for Ate... When I disagreed to bring her to him, he attacked, I didn't stand a chance!! And neither will you, he want's Ate, and only Ate!" I told them all, I could barely stand.
I saw that my arm was bleeding horrifically, I had a cut on my forehead, a large gash on my left leg, and many bruises on the other, but the worst was my right arm, the cutr was open, and bleeding... I had to stop the bleeding or I would die.
I started becoming weak, the world was blurry...

"Mai, would you heal him already?" I asked, annoyed. "His whining is starting to grate my nerves a little."
With a scowl in my direction, Maya kneeled down next to Cervil and began casting healing spells. Meanwhile I said to Cervil, "Sorry if this makes you sound wimpy dude, but all of us singly have taken out at least one big name demon, and together, we haven't been beaten by anything evil. You name it, or at least point us in the right direction, we kick it's ass, it doesn't stand a chance, and then we go to the Spot to party or get drunk, depending on who's pissed at who."
"We can handle it, whatever it is," I said finally.

"We should still get Ate though." I added. I knew that Joshua disliked the goddess, but she was wicked powerful, and if this thing was calling on Ate, then maybe she would know more about it. One thing was for sure though- she would not be alone.

I couldn't help but get annoyed at Joshua's over-confident attitude. I was getting a bit impatient for a fight, and plus, it was no secret that he wasn't my favourite person in the world (though, in his defense, he was far from my least-favourite person as well).
"Joshua, I really hate to bring you down, but there are a lot more powerful things that inhabit in other dimensions. Humans can rule this world because they were meant to rule this world. It's not so in the Netherworld, so please, think before you make us out as all-powerful."

"So would you like me to call in my favor with Draconis?" I asked with a rather sick smile, even in my own opinion.
Aredhel glared at me so harshly even *I* was surprised I didn't catch flame and die horribly.
"I should kill you for just mentioning that bastard's name," she hissed at me.
"But I really can call him in for a favor, if you think it deserves his attention," I innocently explained to her.
Then Mai hit me upside the head.
"OW! What was that for?" I shouted at her.
"For what Red said, as well as for presuming to tell me what to do! For your information, I was already moving to heal him!" she snapped back at me.
"I know," I told her with a sheepish grin, "That's why I said anything about it in the first place."
She hit me upside the head again.
"Ow."

After Maya had headed me, I stood up again.
"This guy goes by the name of Tyrial, he says he's a god, like a phisical god, most probably possessed by something, but I don't know!" I informed, "Look, there's something else... he's prepared himself for each of us! In there, waiting, are exact replicas of us, one for each of us, same powers, same skill, ability, endurance, strength... same everything, hell, there's even one with a gun, swords and throwing axes for me!"
"Exact replicas? Like copies?" Jessy asked.
"Well, not exactly, they are darker skinned, and haired, practically grey skin and hair, but apart from that... exactly!" I said, "He probably expects us to go in with Ate"
"What about Ate? Is there a replica for her?" asked Maya.
"No, Tyrial wants to take her on himself."

I growled. There was no other way to say t, I actually growled like a feral beast. The sound rose in my throat, low and threatening, betraying my frustration and anger to the group at large. I don't think they'd ever heard the sound of my inner demon before. Of course, they had all seen my inner demon, but never heard it.
"What? You think only evil vampires growl? By the Valar, the last thing the universe needs is more than one group of us."
((I've decided to stop havig Aredhel saying 'dear god' seeing as she's an elf, and they have different gods... in case you were wondering what "by the Valar" meant...))

(((I wont be here for long, only as long as it takes for you people to defeat my character, I can't make a proper one because I'm not allowed to make an e-mail address!!! It really sucks!!! Oh well, anyway, I'm a friend of Cervil (real life I mean), he introduced me, so after this, I might pop up now and then and add something in the name of Tyrial, hopefully some smart @ss doesn't write something stupid using my name!!)))

"Cool!" I crowed, "I get to use ninja techniques!"
"What did I tell you about that sh*t?" Mai glared at me.
"Don't use them against you," I answered smoothly with an innocent grin on my face. It was getting much easier to pull off.
Mai glared harder, but finally just growled, even as Cervil stepped up and challenged my statement, "Didn't you hear me? They'll be EXACTLY like us!"
"Yeah, I heard you, and this guy being a god can know exactly what to put in creactions by looking through the Strands of Fate to see exactly what we can do. Thing is . . . not even *I* know what all I can do. Funny thing about Slayer's I've figured out, when they're fighting a superior foe, they tend to get even stronger, faster, and better all around."
"No ninja stuff!" Mai shouted at me.
"How about I just promise not to help you out?" I compromised.
She glared again, but finally scrunched her face and sighed, saying, "Only so long as you promise."
"I promise," I said, holding up my left hand, my right hand, fingers crossed, behind my back.

(((Nah, don't worry about it, I won't be here long, after my character is defeated (which he will be, don't you worry) I might just post a few things here and there, as a spirit or something, but not often, don't really have the time, but I do right now, because it's the holidays, so I have plenty of time... but when the holidays finish, I will practically dissapear until the next holidays, but I might post some things while it isn't during the holidays, ok?)))
(((I think it might be cool if this powerful villain popped up every once in a while, might make things more interesting, what do you people think?)))

I whacked Josh round the head agian, and he whined, "OoW! What the hell!?" "Psychic, Josh. I know your fingers are crossed." I snapped. then i shook my head, "Exact replicas? So... another me... hey, at least i wont have to worry about holding back like i have to when i spar with Josh." ((  *grins*)) |
