The insect returns.

[Jessy Jackson]

"Major evolution," I muttered, shifting into my panther form, my most faithful form. "Let's get ready to rumble," I muttered.

[crystlis]

I took flight, and headed toward the machine.

'Let's hope these do some damage.' I thought to myself as I went to swipe at this metal.

To my amazement, I did a considerable amount of damage!

I continued attacking, unaware of the cannon now pointing at me, it shot, and scored a direct hit.

I fell to the ground. I was still concious, and there wasn't too much pain. I looked up. This machine was big, I hoped I could take it out.

[Jackson ''Doc'' Ellison]

"Well," I said as teh giant robot tore through down town. "That's...wait a sec," I saw a familiar figure fly towards the thing. "Crys?" Without thinking, I tore in that direction.

[Jessy Jackson]

"Dad!" I yelled trying to get his attention. "Dad, wait, I do not need the balance freak right now."

[Jackson ''Doc'' Ellison]

"Gee, thanks a lot," I muttered as I hooked up with Jessy. "What the hell's going one here, Kiddo. Is that...?"

[crystlis]

"Yes it is." I replied for her, "but I'm not your biggest problem!"

I pointed to the machine before taking flight again to attack it.

[Jackson ''Doc'' Ellison]

"Great," I muttered, running towards one of it's legs. "Need giant robot."

[Jessy Jackson]

I looked at Doc before groaning. "I know, I know, no T-rex in daylight."

[crystlis]

I flew to the top of the robot.

'Let's see what this tail can do!' I thought.

I held onto the top of the robot, and thrust my tail into it. Unexpectantly, it went straight through the metal like a hot knife through butter!

Then, another, even less expeced thing happened...

A shield suddenly turned on, all around the robot, and seeing as my tail was still inside the robot, and the rest of me was outside... it cut straight through half my tail.

I also got zapped off the robot.

I fell to the ground, my tail hurt! Strangely enough though, I could feel the other end of my tail, as if I was controlling it still in the ship, but it was dying.

I decided to use it to the best of it's lasting ability.

"Ouch!" I said, juping down and bracing myself for the impact which never came. I instinctively became a bird and floated down, but that is beside the point.

[crystlis]

Before I could start to use it, the robot shot a quick beam at both me and Jessy... Doc was still too close to the robot.

Jessy was quick enough to jump out of the way, but I was too busy concentrating on my tail to avoid it, and got hit.

I woke up in a white place. "Crystlis" came a sharp, snakey voice, "Crystlis!"

"Who-who is that?" I got up slowely.

"You." Came the answer. "A part of you."

"Me?" I was confused.

"Me." Came the responce.

I had no idea what was going no here. The white turned into the city we were just in. Except, there was noone there... it was deserted, and very foggy.

"What's happening?" I asked out loud.

"This is your mind... our mind." Came the voice.

"Our?" I asked.

"Our." A creature walked from behind a corner of the robot's leg. It was only now that I had noticed that the robot was still there, but standing perfectly still. There was no sound except for my own breath and heartbeat.

"This, is our mind." The creature repeated.

"What do you mean?" I Asked.

The creature looked heavily armoured, and somewhat, insect-like. It had a large, boney head, armoured body and four claws on both it's hands and feet. Also, it had the same four lengthened claw-teeth as I had, except they were on the outside of it's small mouth and also armoured.

"We are one." It said.

"Me and you?" I asked.

"Yes." It ensured me, "and only when you can accept that, can we possibly be powerful enough to defeat this creation."

It pointed to the robot.

"But Jessy... that man... can't they?" I asked.

"Possibly... but can you really take that chance? Would you allow the possiblility of letting her get hurt?" As he said this, Jessy appeared. But she too, was as lifeless as the robot. She stood there, back turned.

I looked for a second. Then turned back to the creature.

"I don't understand... what are you asking me to do?" I was confused.

[Jessy Jackson]

I stood up and shook my head. "Chrys? Chrys!" I was not going to lose him again, not now. Never again. He had been acting rather chivalrous lately. It better not be because of my size, or my girliness.

[crystlis]

"Let me free." Said the creature simply. "You try to hide me... it is not fair... this is as much my body as it is yours... let me free."

"Last time I let you free you almost ate her... along with a few other things." I said, pointing at Jessy's lifeless figure.

"That was different... I'm more in control now, as you can see..." It said.

It walked up to me and took my hand. I felt power... a lot of power.

"This is what we can accomplish together, if you let me be free." He said, showing me the power we possessed.

"Ok..." I replied.

Suddenly, I was returned into the real world.

"Chrys!" Jessy was by my side now.

I looked at her, then at the robot.

Relax, let the transformation take place. Said a voice in my head.

I relaxed, and suddenly felt my entire body changing, from the inside at first.

I could see my arms expanding, then the same hard plating I saw on that creature attempting to burst out of my skin, and doing so with reletive ease. Then the rest of my body started to transform.

Soon enough, I looked exactly like the creature that I now knew was living inside me... I felt strong, really strong, but also like I only half had control over my body.

'We have to work together' I thought... wait a second... I didn't think that!

'I did!' I thought. No... It must be the insect, we must be able to read each other's thoughts like they were our own!

'Exactly.' I, or rather the insect, thought.

"What the?" Jessy looked at my completely transformed body.

"I'm still here... this is..." I didn't know how to explain it. I also realised that my voice had changed, it was like my voice combined with the insect's. Like two being talking at once.

"Wow..." Jessy exclaimed.

"Let's go destroy this thing!" I said, and flew straight towards it.


(((You know what Kabutops, from POKeMON look's like? That's kinda like what I look like now... except I have bee-like wings, and no giant sythes for arms, just normal-ish arms and hands with claws.)))

I watched. I didn't really want to intefere, especially when he was in bug mode. A whole load of painful and disturbing memories came to mind.
