The insect returns.

[crystlis]

I looked at all the food, ready to dive in and eat.

I stopped myself.

"You... want some?" I asked.

[Jessy Jackson]

I smiled and took a chop of something or other. "Go right ahead," I encouraged.

[crystlis]

I piled a plate high, I use a plate only because I saw others using them... and staring at my head.

I didn't mind... I just ate and ate and ate...

[Jessy Jackson]

"I guess you've got a large appetite," I said smiling.

[crystlis]

I cleared my mouth of food by swallowing it all, then smiled back at Jessy.

[Jessy Jackson]

I waited for Chrys to finish. What would Doc say when he found out?

[crystlis]

After we were ready to leave, we left.

"I know that I know you... but I can't remember properly." I said honestly, "could you somehow remind me? Like, certain memories?"


(((This may be hard because he wasn't around for very long... I can't even remember what happened, but I do remember that old man, the hologram, the computer, the robot things... that help?)))

[Jessy Jackson]

"There was Holo. And Raiden, thunder god. And the Computer. Remember hyperspace? And then, there was that time you and I transformed into the big bugs, but that is not important," I added quickly as I recalled what happened then.

[crystlis]

Something in my mind, or rather, it's mind, triggered as she told me about the insect part.

I now knew why she looked so appealing. But I knew better than to use instinct.

"You can also turn into an insect." I said, "I remember... your a shapeshifter!"

"Um... yeah!" Jessy said, half-hesitantly.

Suddenly, something in my mind ticked as memories of these occurences were shown to me.

Then something else happened, I could feel extra vibrations in the floor, I hadn't noticed this until now, but something was coming, something big. It was quite far away. Too far away to be of any threat right now, but it was heading this way, I could tell... somehow...


(((I can feel it because of the insect part, the sencors are extra-acute. I still have to learn how to use them though)))

[Jessy Jackson]

"What is it?" I asked. "Cos if you are seeing those memories it will never happen again. Doc would probably stuff you inside yourself."

[crystlis]

I grabbed onto Jessy.

"Something is coming... something big." I whispered.

Something from inside me was trying to tell me something.

Relax, I think.

Relax? Why relax? Jessy might be in trouble! Why was I caring so much for this girl anyway? I decided that these thoughts were going to simply delay time, and put us in some sort of danger.

I decided to listen to the voice and relax.

A sharp pain came in my back.

I fell to the floor. "Ow!" I said.

The sharp pain came again, this time, accompanied by crunching noises.

Then, my back grew two lumps, as it something was trying to burst out.

Relax. It told me again.

I tried my best.

Another sharp pain came, but this time, it was accompanied by four bee-liek wings bursting out of my back along with blood, a lot of it.

The flapped around as the wound very quickly healed. They flapped more, wet with blood and plasma. They dryed quickly and flapped faster, until they could barely be seen moving.

"Come." I said, grabbed Jessy and started flying. I knew she was a shapeshifter, but carrying her made me feel... safer.

I headed away from where the vibrations were coming from.

Then something told me: head towards it, you can take it.

'What about Jessy?' I thought.

She will be fine, she can get away if she is in any danger... this is a test... for you.

[Jessy Jackson]

"Shite shite shite shite shite shite shite shite," I muttered. Bug morphing, never good with Chrys. And why the hell was he holding me?

[crystlis]

Jessy seemed to struggle a little, but my physical strength, despite not meaning to lock her in, was far greater than her's. She stopped when she realised this.

I landed on top of a building, the closest one to the edge of the city and saw what was outside the city.

A giant, four-legged robot was heading towards us.

It is after the girl. Said something in my head.

"I must stop it, please, do not get involved." I said, hoping that she would agree.

[Jessy Jackson]

"This is LA, that looks evil. I'm already involved, you can't stop me," I said confidently, knowing full well that he could squash me. I looked at the robot. It looked pretty well armoured, but what about cyberspace?

[crystlis]

'Ok...' I thought, also trying to communicate with the thing inside me... 'you've helped me with flight, memories and sencors... how about some weapons and armour?'

I hoped for an answer, and unlike I expected, got one.

Armour, you've already got, the carapace around you will shield you from many blows, as for weapons... I can provide, but once again, you have to relax, this will hurt.

I relaxed.

Sharp pains came in the back of my wrists, my lower back and inside my mouth.

Then, two long, slender, claw-like objects protruded out of the back of my wrists, a small sharp object broke through the top of the inside of my mouth, but stayed inside my mouth, and finally, a long tail, with a sharp, boney point at the end ripped out of my lower back.

Now you are ready to fight. Said the voice in my head.

I didn't say anything to Jessy, if she wanted to fight, she could, I wasn't going to stop her... something prevented me.

I took off, ready now to take this thing on.

All I had to do now, was figure out the fnctions of these protrusions.
