I walked leisurely down a street, cars passing by me. It was a cool night, and the sun had just set, and I was on my way to one of LA's many graveyards. I hardly knew my way around here, as I had only arrived in LA two days ago, but it was definetely time for some exploring. And some vampire killing.
Even though I could not fight considerably well, I could still hold my own, and I was not worried about the patrol. I was getting better at fighting, I had met many slayers in the past two years, and i had the opportunity of training with them.
Then, without warning, my head exploded with pain, and i fell to the ground. Images flashed in my mind...a young pretty girl with blonde hair...no more than sixteen years old...and a group of vampires...they were hurting her...they were taking her to an abandoned warehouse...the girl...she was fighting...she was morphing into something...an animal...the vampires wouldn't let her...she screamed.
The images stopped abruptly, and i was left lying on the floor, panting. There were about seven vampires, there was no way I could save the girl and fight seven vampires by myself. I needed help.

I strolled down behind the warehouses, sniffing out evil. There seemed to be a large concentration of it nearby and there had been several attacks recently. I wasn't armed but hey, I was a shapeshifter.
I rounded a corner and my senses went into overtime. At least seven vamps leapt at me from the shadows. I was caught off gaurd and one of them rammed something, a potion, down my mouth before I could fully shift. It stopped me shifting and I was stuck in my human form. They bound me and dragged me with them.
"Weren't expecting that were you, my little shapeshifter?" leered one of them.
"A Dumstrangle potion," I spat back at him. Something I'd learnt in the library. "It will wear off in a couple of hours."
"You won't be alive that long," he grinned back. His game face was on and he made a move towards my neck but one of his colleagues stopped him.
"Idiot! We need her for the ritual."
I began to scream to distract them from the mental messages I was sending out.
[Need help. Some sort of rituals. I am near the warehouses. Lots of vamps.]
I glanced up and saw a vampire with blonde spikey hair watching from the top of a ware house. Then a vampire hit me on the head and I fell unconcious.

I was sitting on the roof of the mausoleum, watching the stars, and actually catching up with Aralin, when the mental shout out hit me loud and clear. Two mental shout outs for that matter, but only one was intended for people to hear. The other one seemed more like an accidental thing. But, they were both for the same reason. Jessy was in trouble.
Aralin looked down at me and raised an eyebrow when I jumped down to the ground. I looked away towards where the thoughts had originated from, then back to my sister.
"You hate vampires, right?" I said, slightly hurried. She only nodded. "How'd you like to kill a bunch?"
In a second, her bow was in her hand and she was down on the ground. "Where?"
I grinned. Sure, we had our differences, but no one could doubt we were related after a response like that. "This way," I said, taking off. She followed easily.
It wasn't long before I came upon what I was sure was the source of the accidental mental broadcast. He was lying on the ground, holding his head. Both Aralin and I could pick up on the half-demon in his blood, but I was the only one who picked up on the lack of agression.
"No!" I said abruptly as Aralin notched an arrow. She stopped, but looked at me sharply. "He's alright," I asured her. "He wants to help Jessy too."
Aralin nodded and nealt down on the grass. "Do you need assistance?"

I stood up shakily, and shook my head, thinking the two women were humans. "No, I'm..." I looked at the women, and my eyes widened. "You're...you're elves." I said amazed. I pushed my amazement to the back of my mind, a girl was in trouble, and I needed to help her. "Yes, I do." I started to walk towards the warehouse, the two elves behind me. "There was this girl, and these vampires...they took her. Maybe you know who she is...blonde hair, medium height...about sixteen years old?" I paused for breath. "I'm Killian by the way."

"Hi guys." I said, crossing the street and joining the two elves and the new guy. "You in a hurry?"
"You're half and half, ain't ya kid?" The new guy said.
I raised an eyebrow. "Yeah, aren't you."
"Yes. Maybe you can help us."
"Sure...Aredhel, tell me what's going here." I said, confused.

I sat, bound in the middle of the warehouse. I couldn't talk telepathically, the result of another potion.
"So, would you like to tell me why I'm here?"

I looked over at Rachelle, nodding in greeting. Now wasn't the time for formalities.
"Jessey's in trouble," I said. "And Killian knows about it, though I haven't quite bothered to ask how." I didn't wait for him to explain, as something else a bit more unexpected hit me.
"Sh*t," I muttered. "Ok everyone, telepathy is out... any ideas as to where Jessey is?"
((ok, these crazy filters are really bothering me now...)

I heard Jessy's mental cry, and leapt up off my couch. I pulled on my jacket and boots, shoved a few stakes in strategic places, grabbed my katana, covering it with an invisibility charm, and fled the apartment. Even as i ran down the stairs, i was calling Joshua- telepathy so saves on phone bills. [Josh!] I yelled mentally across the city, [I'm not gonna be able to make it- Jessy's in trouble. I'll see you later.] Then i cut off the channel, before he could even reply, and mounted my bike, slipping on my dark glasses and roaring off down the street in the direction of the mental scream. [Del!] I now cried [girl, i hope you heard that yell...] On the edges of my senses, there was something else... something that didn't worry me, but would have spiked my interest if i hadnt been in such a hurry. It was something familiar- someone familiar....

We had already started off again, walking towards what was the origin of Jessy's yell. As inacurate as it was at this point, it was the only thing we had to go on besides 'warehouse'. I heard Maya's message and nodded, completely forgetting that she couldn't see.
[We're en route,] I replied quickly. [Follow my thoughts and lead us there. We got a new recruit, but that can wait.]

Laughter re-echoed in the warehouse. It was chilling, unhuman laughter.
"I'll take that as a no, you won't tell me then right?"

I ran up, wild-eyed. "Where is Jessy? Where?" That mental call had rattled me. I had no idea where she was or what was happening to her. I shifted in my panic, trying to relax a little in the form of a owl. I looked around, searching for Jessy. I suddenly noticed a flash of blonde hair and dived.
However it didn't turn out to be Jessy. I landed on a blonde vampire and held him down in my human form. Admittadly he wasn't very resistant.
"Name three reasons why I shouldn't stake you now."
"Reason one, I am a good guy. Reason two I know what's happening and where that girl is. And reason three, you have no stake."

I walked into the place where Jessy was being kept...
"Who are you?" asked one of the vampires.
"Oh, I'm an ally, I can help you!" I replied to the vampire.
"How, I'm quite sure we've got this under control!" He said back.
"I want revenge on this human! So it is in my intrests to help you with whatever you need to do." I informed him.
By now, Jessy was giving me strange, mean looks. I continued, trying to ignore her.
"Look, I can give you valuable information!" I said.
"We don't need you! We have this under control!" He replied, now angered.
"Ok then. I'd say you don't wan't to know about the 10 or so vampire slayer friends she has..." I said suspiciously.
"Wait, wait." he ran after me. I stopped, "Hey, I never said that we couldn't become allies!"
"Ahhh, now the sudden change..." I exclaimed. My plan was working perfectly. They were obviously interested in the rest of the group.

How dumb could vampires be? The false allies plot, it was in every book I'd ever read. Maybe Zeroc was nicer than he looked. Considering we'd tried to kill each other the first time we met.

"It's this way, I think." I said, leading the group. I turned the corner, and I stopped dead in my tracks. There were three warehouses right infront of us, and they looked vaguely the same. Images of the warehouse flashed in my brain, and I selected the warehouse in the middle. "Come on."

((haha rory you're my idol! "reason three, you have no stake." teeheehee I like that one... so, uh, are you with us then??))
Aralin already had her arrows notched, I noted, as she neared the middle warehouse. For someone related to the first vampire, she sure was in a hurry to kill them off. For a second, I considered useing the old 'ally' trick, but, upon reaching out with my mind, I let out a snort of laughter. Zeroc had beat me to it.
"Oh for God's sake," I muttered, still grinning. "Hey guys, watch out for Bones when you go all out, k?"
