Killian and I stayed on the outside of the fight, occasionally punching and few and dodging kicks from the vampires. Things were made easier when Maya staked two of them, and i silently thanked her. Killian and I moved closer to Jessy, who seemed to realise that we were the ones who were gonna get her out.
"Sit tight Jess." I shouted over the vampires.
She glared at me. "There's not much else I can do!"

I wave of a hand disintegrated jessy's bindings, but she was still caught in the middle of the fray without her power. The third vamp of my trio was dust, and i was moving to take on as many vamps as possible, keeping them away from Jessy, who they kept trying to grab. A vampire wrapped his arms around me from behind, whispering, "Scream for me, slayer." In my ear. "Ew!" I commented, slamming my head backwards into his face. He howled with pain, and let go. I spun, my fist hitting it face, and my katana becoming visible just as it hit his neck. I looked around- more vamps had appeared- how many of them were there!?

I tried to get closer to Jessy, but there were fights going on everywhere. A vampire punched me, and I returned the punch. I kicked him in the chest and moved in to stake it. He grabbed my neck and raised me off the ground. I struggled and i kicked at his knees with my legs and he let go of me and i fell onto the floor. He advanced onto me, but he suddenly froze and exploded into dust. Rachelle was behind the dusted vampire, with a stake in her hand.
I stood up, and nodded my thanks. "I thought there were only seven vampires." Rachelle said, through gritted teeth while fighting another vampire.
"More are coming in!" I shouted above the noise.

I rolled my eyes. "Thanks for stating the obvious."

I cut off another head and growled with frustration. We were getting nowhere. In fact, we were almost going backwards: for every vampire we killed, two more ran into the room. Aralin had to fire off three arrows at once just to keep up. My so called 'plan' wasn't working overly well.
"This is getting us nowhere!" I shouted above the din, firing off more than a few arrows of my own. In my anger, I let my inner demon take hold; my face transformed into what Maya and the others lovingly referred to as a 'game face'.
As it turns out, I should have tried it a while ago. Though certainly not all the vampires, the ones fighting me stopped instantly, confusion on their faces. With a growing sense of satisfaction, I realized that they recognized me. I was, after all, responible for their being. In a way, I was their sire - every last one of them. I gave them a few seconds to contemplate that before firing arrows straight into their hearts.
Using the few seconds I'd bought myself, I forgot about my bow and used a favourite old trick of mine. The vampires closest to me exploded in a flurry of colourful sparks before I was back at it, still baring my fangs.

Finally, the last of the vampires trickled into the room, the last five of which dusted almost instantly as it was revealed all the vampires were not reinforcements coming to the aid of the guards of Jessy, they were refugees, running away in terror from me, Doc, and Doc's friend Des.
"Sorry we're late honey," I apologized, over the din of battle, "I got kind of caught up in traffic!" I slashed with my glaive, removing the heads of two vampires and the arm of a third that had been trying to club Des.
Maya, in a burst of anger, ignited six vampires all around her in flame and shouted back at me, "That's *always* your excuse for being late!!"
"And 2 out of three times it's true!" I defended myself as I defended against a vampire that had somehow gotten a hold of a weapon it actually knew how to use. Thirty seconds later, it was dust.

There were still a few vampires surrounding Jessy, preventing her from getting out. I looked around, everyone else was involved in a fight. I looked back at Jessy, and saw the four vampires were nearing her. I grinned. I closed my eyes and concentrated.
When i opened my eyes, everyone but Joshua was frozen still.
"What are you doing?" He yelled.
I ignored him and idly wandered to the vampires near Jessy. I plunged my stake into their hearts in turn, and when I was finished, I closed my eyes and concentrated again.
When I opened my eyes, everyone could move again.

"I hate it when he does that," I complained as the vampires turned to dust. "He could have at least saved some."
"Always complaining, Francois?" Des said.
"Always forgetting my name, petite?" I said back smoothly. "Jessy, how the hell could you let yourself get grabbed by a bunch of ordinary vamps? Haven't we taught you better than that?"

"Excuse me?" I said indignantly. "Oh well, I guess I was caught off gaurd. But they still shouldn't have overpowered me. I think someone is boosting their energy. By the way where is Rory?" I looked around. "I can't see him." I began to fight.
At that moment Rory came crashing through the ceiling with a blonde vampire.
"Spike?"

"Spike?" I said in disbelief. "Spike, as in *the* Spike. William the Bloody, Spike?" I said, trying to get my head around the turn of events. I had heard of Spike...I mean, who hadn't? But I never had met the vampire. I was really looking forward to...but what was he doing here? With Rory?

I looked up in almost shock. I hadn't seen William (as he was still known then) for the better part of two hundred years: a time when we had both been rather evil. Now, here we were, both good. What do you say to someone in those circumstances? Not bothering to give it too much thought, I ran over to him and clocked him upsie the head.
"William! You get a soul and you don't even tell me?! What the hell is wrong with you?!"

While everyone was busy with William/Spike I was greeting Rory. When we seperated I hit him on the head.
"What was that for?"
"For fighting a good guy and ruining a perfectly good warehouse ceiling."

"You have a soul?" I said in disbelief. All the stories I had heard about Spike mentioned him evil...and soulless.
"Yeah." He said bluntly, looking me up and down. "Who are you?"
"Killian. I was a friend of Doyle...maybe you've heard of him."
He nodded. "Angel's seer, innit?"
I nodded.

'Bloody hell if it isn't *the* Spike. You look far better than the stories mentioned y'know... But then Katelyn was never one for detail'
He gave a small smile and tilted his head to the side
'If it isn't the littlest Next... And how is Katie?'
'Gone' I replied shortly and shook my head not pursuing the subject 'But why are you here?'

"Good question." I said, and all of our attention turned to the blonde vampire.
