"All right, everybody follow me," I say as I walk up to them, Tucker just behind me.
Maya gave me a dirty look while Nicki looked at me suspiciously. Doc gave me a questioning glance.
"Unless of course anybody else has a key to the elevator?" I asked rhetorically, holding up my own key.
Grumbling, they all shuffled after me as we walked down the hall to the elevator.
"Why didn't you mention this thing earlier?!" Maya exploded.
"You didn't ask," I pointed out like it was obvious, inserting my key which automatically opened the doors.
I detected more grumbling between the girls, but I ignored it as the five of us entered the elevator and the doors closed after the last of us was aboard. Then, inserting my key into another slot, I pressed the button for Sublevel 2.
(((For details on Sublevel 2, please read 'Training Center' under "L.A. in the day".)))

(((Sorry, I meant Sublevel *3*. Specifically, the Magical Labyrinth where if you survive going through, your magical powers are exponentially increased. ;D)))

I tapped my foot impatiently as the elevator shifted into life
'And what exactly is on whatever level we're going to Joshua? It better be weapons or I may have to kick your Wizardy ass to the next dimension'

"Something a little better than weapons. Although we may get lucky and find ourselves a couple of those laying around," I answer purposely cryptic.
"Start making sense!" Maya angrily demanded.
"I've only been to this level once before. It was right before I went to you Maya, and started training in my magic. The reason I went to you and Willow in the first place was because when I went through the Magical labyrinth on this level, I got myself a new power. I just didn't have control over it until you and Willow helped me out with that. We now have what, four magic users, including myself? If each of us goes through this labyrinth and at the least gets a new power, or at best gets a major boost to our current level . . . well you girls tell me, which is better? Getting a major boost to our magic, or finding a weapon that will help us take out another demon?"
I left my question hanging as the doors opened and we entered the Sublevel 3.

"Oh, wicked idea!" I said sarcastically. "Lets use this creepy building we frankly know nothing about, which is own by a dude no one has ever seen, to get us pumped full of god knows what kinda magic , so we can all get totally juiced and go nuts!" I breathed, "Or do none of us remember of little story called little red riding Willow!?"

I roll my eyes and sigh. "True, the Labyrinth can almost kill you, but it does not imbue you with any power. It only forces you to use your own power to it's limit, allowing you to grow a lot faster. No tricks, beyond illusions from the bottom of your own psyche, but it's either this or spending all night researching that cube and fighting with only physical abilities. Admit it. You *are* almost tapped out."
I shrug off their dirty looks and then walk down the hall that could just as easily be in any office building in the world, except for the stone archway with wiccan runes carved over the top of it.
"It's your choice. Frankly, I've been itching for the chance to go back in, but I didn't want to risk having another uncontrollable power like last time. Now we're faced with a nearly empyt city save for a whole bunch of creepy freaks that want to kill us. Me, I'll pick a new almost uncontrollable power over death any day of the week."
I just stand there, waiting for their decision, because I'm sure they all know that I'm going in, whether they come with me or not.
"Oh, and the moment anyone enters, they have to face their own challenge, so no matter if we go in together or seperately, we'll still be on our own in there. And again, the only thing this does is test and stretch the limits of our powers and maybe shows us a way to increase that would normally take us a year or MORE to do so otherwise. And it does this by making us face challenges our own minds and subconsciouses would dredge up."
"Your choice."
"Well I'm in," Tucker immediately stepped forward, not surprisingly.

I sighed, "Look, without freaking, listen to me for once. You say all this stuff, but how do you know? The very fact that you're so desperate to go in speaks of addiction. And for once, not trying to get at you. I get what you're saying about needing power, but i'm not so sure this is the best way to get it. Truth be told, you dont know what that thing does, you can't. Meditation may take longer, but as someone whos lost control before... the last thing we need is a any of us going over the edge. I'm sorry, but i'm not in. And dont you dare call me a coward. I wish i could make you see how crazy this is..."

"no way!! oh my goddess, this is the right place!!" *loud excited squeak* "I'm so good, oh yeah baby!" THis called for bigtime celebration. So I did what any self respecting goddess would do I jumped up and down, clapped my hands then did a little victory dance whilst simultaneously chanting "I am the best! yey me!"

And everyone looked at her as if she were certifiably insane. "You're gonna fit right in." I said, "But, Ate... why are you here?... no dead people who dont wanna be dead here... so what's up?"

"um have you been outside today. lots of demons. lots of mushed up demons too, looks like a collaboration between jackson pollocks and damien hirst. Sorry side tracked... um yeah , sugar... thats it, dude that runs the training centre aint a hundred per cent PC, not evil just misguided. I'm here because the collection of powers you got between you could rip the fabric and time and space apart if anything went wrong, obviously not all that great so you probably don't want to go getting super boosted powers that you can't control and may result in multidimensional destruction."
