"Wow impressive," I jumped around, teleporting. "I'm kinda bored, can we get going?"

Halfway across the city, 'past' me and Trex were looking for any remaining humans with Doc, until Ate had suddenly showed up and I was forced to halt time.
Too bad High-level near-god power demons can choose whether or not my time-stopping abilities, so obviously Trex heard Ate's confession.
I sighed and tried my darnedest to ignore the Hell demon.
"My problem is not with you Ate, it's with your bosses. And Zeus. That's a story that is much too long and any way I'd rather not go into it. I'm sorry for being short with you and all that. But in case you hadn't noticed, I've been under a LOT of stress lately, and while taking it out on Mai seems to incure some smoochies between us, taking them out on you seems to have a more direct effect on my frustration and actually calms me down."
"Well as long as I can help," Ate retorted sarcastically.
"Actually, getting serious now," I changed my tone to serious along with my words, "You could help by using that psychic power I know all gods have that allow them to sense life forms in a given area. Ignor the demons right now and help us find all the humans. For right now, we can hold off on the teleporting unless someone is in immediate danger, but I can only give us a general direction to go in, not pinpoint accuracy, which you might be able to give us."
Ate nodded. "Good point. All rightie then," time unfroze and Doc just calmly took in, to him, Ate's sudden appearance. "Let's find the humans," Ate sung to her self, closing her eyes to concentrate.

Why am I helping them to find humans? This is seriously not good...I need to think...
"Ate you keep concentrating, I'll go off alone. I work better that way." Before they can answer. Poof, teleported away in flames.

"I really, really, really hate that guy," I confided in Doc.

Teleporting back, "I heard that!!! Watch your mouth or you won't know how you ended up in hell!" Teleporting away...
Now searching for humans...

"Umm he's a demon isn't he?" I asked "Yeah, so what." said Doc, then I replied, "Then when this is over can I send him back to hell, I mean that is where he belongs isn't it?"

"What? I'm *supposed* to like you?? I HATE YOUR FREAKIN GUTS (((Just for the story, I actually don't know you well enough to say whether we would like each other or not))) YOU POMPOUS -- -- ** **!!!!!!" Several car alarms suddenly went off at the same time I shouted my curse words, which were revealed to be caused by demons hunting us.
Doc answered Tpot while casually drawing his Soulsword, "He lives in Hell the same way we live in LA. Sending him back is the same as giving one of us a traffic ticket. Very annoying, and with the potential of becoming a big thing, but most of all just a nuisance."
"Uh . . . guys?" I stop their conversation as I realize we're now facing over 50 very powerful earth-bound demons.
(((Hey, this would be the 'stress' point where Joshua gets Slayer powers, for future reference)))

I stopped grinning. "Oh dear. A T-Rex?" I glanced at Joshua but he didn't answer. I sensed that he wanted me to stay put until he needed me. I felt left out but realised that a 16 year old newbie at fighting wasn't really suposed to start attacking demons and so possibly ruin the chances of living.

((Aah, confusing, but Jess, you're in the wrong place. The earth demons are with PAST josh, while u r with me, tucker, and back from the future Joshua!! ...but no matter...))
"Sh*t!" I suddenly cried, grabbing my head. "MAya!?" Joshua said, startled. "Demons..." I murmured. It seemed that that potion had boosted more than my regular strength, and i could feel teh swarm of demons closing on the others despite the distance between us. "LOTS of demons... we have to help them..." "Oh crap." Joshua cursed, "i didn't realise it was that point already- you're right, we are meant to help them..." he frowned, "But Tucker wasn't there." I shrugged, and punched the struggling human in the face. "Mai!?" Joshua exclaimed. "SImplest way to keep him outta trouble." I explained, placing a concealment charm upon Tucker so that demons wouldn't smell him, see him, or even notice if they bumped into him. I shoved him in an alley, and said, "Let's go. Jess, that T-Rex might be useful- Josh, can you get us there quick?"

(Triple post!!! This is seriously confusing) Yay! T-Rex time! I became a terrifying monster and gave a prehistoric roar. I chomped a couple of demons but more kept flowing towards me. "Uh oh." I said. Well at least dinosaur uh oh.

I looked over at T-Rex Jessy and the demons swarming towards her
'I got your back!'
Raising my hands I pushed back the demons, giving Jessy a chance to chomp them before they got near her. Turning my attention to my left I managed to shatter a few demons before bringing out my trusty sword and grinning. Good old fighting here I come.

This was fun! Wading through demons; well, to be honest, crushing demons; eating, decapitating, it was all good. I did something quite disgusting but nobody seemed to mind. I bit off a demon's head and spat it as far as possible before it disintergrated. And, on Nicki's advice, I frisked my victims before killing them. Demons often carried a lot of cash.

I had felt the time portal, but I was too busy fighting at Doc's back to really give it too much thought. My glaive was getting over-time and already it, and myself were covered in demon gore, blood, and vampire dust.
The 50 that had started out after us had quickly attracted more and larger numbers until it seemed like every demon in the city was headed for this point specifically. Now we were so swamped it wasn't even funny to begin with.
And both Ate *and* Trex had disappeared without a sign of showing up any time soon, and if they ever could be considered part of the group, they would definitely be the heavy hitters, which we desperately needed at the moment.
And they weren't here.
And Mai had been wondering why I ragged on Ate so much . . .
That was when I noticed Mai, with a very bright aura around her, or maybe it was some kind of light spell or something to put her in the spotlight, but either way, I suddenly saw her in the crowd of demons. She was kicking ass and slaying like nobody's business. Heck, the so-called legendary Slayer Buffy Summers would be hard pressed to even match half of how well Mai was doing right now.
Then, as I got a brief reprieve and still sight of Mai, the light around her all but vanished, and suddenly she was doing as well as she did in practice with Doc. A little better maybe, but . . . the point was not nearly as good as she had been half a second before when the light was around her.
Very quickly, all of the demons had her surrounded and despite her giving it her best and her all, without that light thing on her, she would be overrun in minutes, if not seconds.
"DOC! MAI'S IN TROUBLE!!" I shouted behind me, only to see Doc in the exact same trouble Mai was.
I was torn. I could help Doc *now*, but by the time we finished up the demons attacking him, Mai could be killed or seriously hurt. I would have to tear my way through a number of demons to even get to Mai, and there was a chance, as much as I hated to admit it, that she would be dead before I got to her, and it would be too late for me to help Doc.
My heart was split in to, my brain offering two choices, but no way to resolve the conflict. For half a second I just stared between the two of them for what felt like an eternity, my emotions raging inside of me.
And as always, magic answered my need.
I felt a similar energy surge to the time I had used a form of Astral Projection, except this felt more like an infusion of energy. Before I knew it, my mind was made up and I started cutting my way through the demons to get to Mai. I knew Doc could handle himself. After all, he did have a full-powered Soulsword, and the experience to use it properly.
My Glaive felt light as a feather as I lashed it out at incredible speeds, dealing death to all who got in my way. Despite not exerting any energy to do so, time and the demons seemed to slow down around me. At first I figured that I had just unconsciously triggered my powers, but at the same time I felt as if time were flowing quite normally. I was just moving faster. Way faster.
By the time I got to Mai and started to help her finish off the demons around us, I . . . I can't quite describe it. It felt like Mai and I synched in a way that felt so right, and so . . . so . . . primal at the same time.
Moving as a pair, more like we were two bodies of the same mind, we quickly killed all of the demons around us, together.
As I thrust, and pulled my polearm from a demon just behind Maya's back, most of the demons were dead or just not around us. I felt . . . stronger, but more than that at the same time. Like . . . something had changed, but I couldn't even begin to describe what or how it happened.
"Whoa," I commented on the ease with which I handled my glaive now.
Mai smiled at me, and that was when I felt it. Another me . . . from the future.

I was doing pretty well when I saw Mai falter. The boosting potion had worn off. But then she was fighting better then ever and I shifted my concentration to the demons again. It was then that I felt it. Something tore at me and somehow ripped all my energy away. I struggled desperately, trying to find the energy to remain a T-Rex and to stay standing. I didn't have enough. I fell and turned back into a human, causing me to fall about twenty feet. I was unconcious before I hit the floor.

((weird... i had written a post, which shud have been just before Joshs last one, but it seems to have disappeared! Very irritating- it was way cool! Oh well))
I was breathing hard, partially pissed off that Josh had considered me to need more help than Doc, when Hello, wicca AND slayer? But i shrugged it off- he just cares, i told myself, and commended myself for not yelling at him- in truth i could easily have pulled a spell and wiped out the demons attacking me. But i knew was i couldn't be pissed- whether i'd needed the help or not, Whatever had just happened between us... it was incredinble. Very very wierd, but incredible- it was like... i felt his very soul. I felt his darker side, but the light too, his insecurities, his feelings... nothing specific, just an overwhealming feeling of him. "Whoa." I agreed. My only qualm was that he might in turn have felt my past pains... It was then that i saw Jessy. "JESSY!" I cried as she fell, reaching out my hand to slow her descent with magic, so that she was not harmed by the fall. I fell to my knees by her side, "Jessy?"
