"It was stronger than anything i've ever felt." I replied to Doc, much to everyones confusion. Aila was frowning again. "Sorry, Aila..."
"I... The guardians visited me."
"Who?"
"The Guardians! My guardians..."
"Hang on... this is your mom?" Ben exclaimed.
"Who the heck are you?" Doc and I asked in unison.
"That doesnt matter right now!" Aila cried, "They came to me and they said that i had to be ready, that whatever it is im meant to do it coming..."
"Wait... you mean the bastards who kidnapped you?"
"You were kidnapped?"
"UGH!" AIla yelled in frustration

"My names Ben." He replied defensively, "I'm Aila's.... friend." Doc gave him a piercing look that he couldnt quite meet.
"He's trustworthy Doc... look... Im very freaked out here... they told me that i have to be ready, that i mustnt forget who i am... but i dont know what im meant to be ready for... what Im meant to DO..."

"Cool it sweetie... sit down." I lead he to chair and crouched before her, "Tell me exactly what they said."
"They said that 'the time draws near for the prophecy to be fulfilled' and that the world depends on me. They said i would know what to do when the time came... but what if i dont? Mom... I'm scared."
"It's gonna be ok Aila... We will be here with you all the way... and whatever happens we will fight it together."
Aila nodded slowly,
"I just wish i knew what the prophecy was... I mean... they called me 'Vala'... it means chosen... but... chosen for what??"

I looked at Doc with wide eyes, my body shaking again,
"Jessy book... Doc... you dont suppose... this cant have anything to do with..."
He just looked back at me with steady eyes and i felt something clamp down inside me. I didnt want Aila anywhere near that fight... i prayed that he was wrong.
"What book, mom? What do you mean? Doc?"

"Jessy found a book, apparently fill with prophecies concerning myself, you mother and...our children, if i remember correctly." We need to find that book."

"It could be at Jessy's apartment." Aila said quietly, "We'll go look there."
"AIla..." I said, stopping her, "....We will sort this. It'll all be ok."
SHe forced a smile,
"I know, mom... I know." Then she and Ben left.
((might put them back in the beach thread so that we dont have to have two separate locations in here cos that gets confusing!))

(((DUN DUN DUUUUUUUH! cue crossover. No, wait... that doesn't make chronological sense does it... he only just came back, right? So this crossover whould be before the other....unless it IS the first time, in which case he never got to the point and... urg. Clue me in... Or talk him out of it...)))
