I flipped back up, landing a kick to Doc's chest as I did so, sending him flying back.
"Yeah," I answered, "But Kung Lao wasn't the only one to teach me. As for Raiden . . . he's a god, of course he knows how to fight. Just cause he taught you a few tricks to it doesn't mean there isn't someone better than *you* but not better than him."
"OK, OK, no more gloating over knowing Raiden's avatar," Doc grumbled as he flipped back up and we quickly resumed.

The fight got just a slight more inenste as the hours dragged, neither of us really gaining any lee way.
And through it all, there was an ever present smile on my face as i enjoyed the one peaceful moment I'd had for a long time.
((Misunderstanding. I'm not Raiden's avatar. I learnt off him. Master Wong was the Thunder God's avatar. I was just saying that I learnt from the soiurce. No middle man.))

Finally the two of us called it a draw and turned off all the training equipment and sat down on the side of the mats, while I got us some drinks, Doc ordered some food be brought up from the kitchen, which amazed me in not knowing about beforehand.
As we waited for the food, we talked.
"So how are things? Hey, I saw that you managed to update that "Project" of yours, the one that I helped you out with earlier last month? Something about the Eldritch, right?"

"Yup," I said proudly. "After all the problems and false starts, i finally got it done. Got a more sci-fi style prokect lined up next."

"Ooo! Do tell!" I practically begged, even as the food came in. All our favorites for anyone that cares to know.

"You'll see," I said teasingly. "By the way, you did realize we had an audience other than T," Joshua looked at me inquisitively. "Under a cloaking spell," look turns shocked.
"How do you..."
"You people have to stop underestimating me," I said, taking a slice of pizza. "I don't need to hold the Saber to access some of its powers, you know."

I was shocked- i had been about to leave, but even as i turned i heard Doc's comment, and spun with my eyes wide- how the hell did he know?? I sighed, and took a moment to enjoy the sheer confusion on Joshua's face. I wondered whether to go or stay, eventually walking right up behind Joshua, and saying "BOO!" Loudly, right in his ear. He jumped out of his skin (dont worry, not literally) and spun round. I was doubled up with laughter, but he could only hear me, not see me. Doc was grinning widely. I ended the spell, allowing myself to become visible, and kept laughing so hard at the look on Josh's face that it actually hurt.

Glowering at the Slayer, I stood up and challenged her on the spot. "Oh real funny psycho-girl, REEEEAAAAALLL Funny!" I stepped up and got just inside her personal space, "Much as I love a good joke, even when it's on me, I don't appreciate that one. But if that's the best you can do, I can't wait to see how well you'd do in augmented gravity!" Maya kept laughing, but it had been reduced to snorting chuckles by now as she responded, "You . . . want to . . . fight . . . ME? AHAH HAHAHAHAHAHAH! " "Doc's trained both of us. You're a Slayer, giving you faster reaction time and more strength. But I'm a Time Wizard, I know skills and martial arts that have been lost to the ravages of history. OK, dramatic speech over. Let's just do this, because at this moment I don't want to do anything else!"

I walked over to Doc (Pink dress free) and sat down, "This will be interesting."

I could barely breathe for laughing "Go on then, fiddle with time, ooh, scary." I manged to say. In his fury, he tried to slow time in order for him to reach the gym much quicker, but he found that i was still at normal speed, just like him. A new spurt of laughter over took me, "Witch... remember?" I laughed. Gasping for breath, i said, "Ok, ok..." I leant against the wall, "How about no powers? Just physical strength and skill? No multiplying yourself or calling bloody gods. Just you an me, in a room, no magic. Just a regular fight." "But you have extra strength AS a power!" "Thats just me now. Its my strength. But that shouldn't matter if you have the skill." I knew he couldn't argue with that, because he knew that anything he said would demean his skill. I grinned, "Shall we then?" Joshua nodde stiffly. Doc said, "I have got to see this." And followed as we headed for the gym.
((well this should be fun))

((( We're IN the gym. We never left and had our lunch there))) Jumping up on the platform, I carefully kept my 'ace in the hole' out of my mind and just nodded to Doc, which I knew Maya would figure as a nod of confidence. After Maya jumped up on the platform with a leaping back flip, I smirked and my 'ace' was revealed as Doc turned the gravity on to the level we had been training at. Maya instantly fell on her ass from surprise, although she wasn't really hindered, just awkward now in the heavier gravity. "I've been training in 10 Gs for the past 6 months, and a Slayer, according to your own bragging rights, is only 5 times stronger than the average human. 10 Gs is twice the amount that it takes to make that strength nullified." I got into one of the attack poses Doc had used on me and smirked again. "Bring it on," I teased. Remembering a certain DVD, and another set of stone tablets, Maya growled and got back to her feet with a flip and got into her own attack pose.

"Um, Joshua, i forgot to mention..." I didn't get to finish my sentence as JOsua hit the wall hard. "Mai and have been training in increased gravity for a while. She uses her magic to increase the grav. She's up to the same fifteen gs I am."
"Thanks for the warning," he muttered.
((You didn't think i was going to let her go easy on ya, did ya? ;D))

I smiled, "Lets go, CLock boy." I said. He immediately swung with his right, hoping to catch me off guard, i leant backwards, grinning as his fist passed by my face. "That all you got?" I teased. I swung at him, and raised my eyebrows in appreciation as he too dodged, but i didn't wait. I immediately ducked to sweep my leg across his while he was unbalanced, and i knocked him down on his A**. I grinned down at him, "Come on." I said, "YOu're not even trying." And the look on his face said i'd got exactly what i wanted -He was pissed.

In an instant my emotions were back under control and I shrugged at the Slayer and answered her statement with, "Yes, of course I am." Then I leaped towards her, then neatly dodged two of her hits and blocked her next and then barely managed to parry her next blow before I was inside her defenses enough to land a full-power tiger strike to the center of her chest, knocking the Slayer back all the way to the edge of the platform.
"You didn't really think it would be that easy, did you?" I said in a teasing tone while stretching my arms a bit more. Ever since taking out the demunny my muscles had been acting a little wierd. They were more springy, like they were flexing back and forth constantly, trying to find their proper strength level. I hadn't been too concerned over it.
I got into a kani-maro defense posture, the one technique I knew beyond all doubt, that no matter psychic abilities or lifetime of training, neither Doc nor Maya knew this technique so it was probably my one real advantage.
"You know," Maya said as she got to her feet, wiping her mouth a little, "for a second there, I kinda did."
"Silly rabbit," I teased.
"Tricks are for kids," she finished the saying with a grin before leaping back into the fight.

The fight became more fluid, mor real, no more messing around. Joshua's techniques were like nothing i had ever seen before, and i had to admit that i was impressed. It was almost a dance as we dodged, attacked, jumped, twisted, each of us getting some real hits in, and each finding ourself grinning. as i made my next move, he twisted, catching me in a hold i'd never dealt with before, leaving my arms disabled. I looked annoyed, and i knew it. He smirked, "Maybe you should try learning some of these techniques." He said, his face only inches from mine. I recovered my annoyance, and smirked back, "Maybe." I said, "But sometimes, you just cant beat fighting dirty." His forehead creased in confusion for only a second before he realised, a moment too late. My knee jerked up, hitting him hard, where it really hurts. He yelped, and let go.
