The sun has rose from the horizon, a wonderful ball of flame that provide the mortals warmth and hope...well my first day as a 'normal' good dude...After spending a a freezing night sitting, on the roof top of some office building, tormented by the absive thoughts that couldnt go away, and the ever lasting demonic of my father...pushing all that aside...I stood up, taking another quick look at the sun. I zapped away to the Magic shop... 'Don't want to be late for work...'

I sat on the counter, reading one of the many magic books we had in stock, and eating a string of red licorice. I'd recently started working several days instead of just one in the light of certain... changes in my life. "Maya... what have I told you?" Snapped my stuffy boss- the owner, who i had yet to decide whether or not he realised magic was real. I rolled my eyes, "That sitting on the counter is sloppy and deterrs customers." I recited with a bored expression, "But Boss- there are no customers yet." I grinned, "And believe me- i bet i could make them stay even if they saw me sitting here." "You're a cocky little shit, aren't you?" He said. I smiled broadly. "And where the hell is this friend of yours?" he added, "I'm not having a slacker deadbeat..." "He's not late yet- we arent open!" "We'll see..."He grumbled, returning to the back of the shop. A pop announced Trex's arrival. "Boo." He said. I took a bite of licorice and raised one eyebrow. "Dont come in like that- i dont think Murray wil like it too much." "Murray?" "The Boss." "Oh." He grimaced. I smirked. "Right- induction. Cash register, logs, stuff to sell." I grinned, "All done." "Maya! Where's that damned book i asked you to f..." Murray cried as he returned. The book materialised in the hand i held behind my back, and i passed it to him before he could finish, "Voila." I said. "Oh. well... good." "Oh, and this is Trex, your new deadbeat slacker." I smiled sweetly.

I looked around the shop, all things in place, in full stock. A few spell books here and there, and creepy artifacts that I could possibly add to my direction. Maya, and Murry my boss waited me to say something...
"Yep, I'm your new demon slave..." I stated in a cheerful voice.

I walked in just in time to hear Trex say 'Yep, i'm your new demon slave'. I managed to stifel a groan. He was about as subtle as a grenade.
Maya noticed me come in and rolled her eyes. That pretty much said it all.
I headed over to look at the books, noticing a few I not only didn't have, but were actually useful. Either the owner knew his stuff, or Maya ordered them in.

Murray chuckled. He actually bloody well LAUGHED. I gaped as he said, "Yes, yes... well Maya will show you the ropes- i have work to do it the back." He walked off, and i starred opened mouthed after him. "Mai? You ok?" Dco asked. "That man has never laughed in his LIFE!" I cried. "He thought you were bloody joking. urgh!" Trex grinned happily, and Doc chuckled. He hefted a book, "Does he get this stuff in?" He asked. "You're kidding, right?" I said, "I wonder pretty often if he even realises that magic is real."
