Once again i found myself entering the club at some time close to midnight. Patrolling only keeps a girl happy for so long. I got a drink from the bar, and settled myself in a corner of the room as usual. I liked to be able to see what was going on without being to conspicous- it was a good idea in a place like this.

What the...? arggh.
looks like I was in L.A again, Maya was sitting in a far corner of the room settled witha drink in hand.
Well one drink couldn't hurt. could it?
and besides I was off duty, just practicing in a vain attempt to gain control of my powers. I walked over to the bar wishing I wasn't quite as glowy and conspicuous as people turned heads and raised eyebrows at me. I put on sweetest smile sauntered up to the bar to order a couple of Vodka shots before moving to join maya.

I grinned, raised one eyebrow and downed a shot.
"Don't know whats going down but I keep on winding up in L.A practically every time that I move. Tried for a demonic hell dimension this morning and ended up in a starbucks, not that I'm complaining cos I do love my frappes but kinda getting irritating. You got some form power magnet down here? because I know i'm pants at navigating anyway but this is getting just plain stupid."

I chuckled, "Could just be the huge demon population of this fair city. Or the fact that its the closest settlement to the extinct hellmouth... i dunno... maybe you just like it here." I frowned at my empty bottle. That happened too often. I looked around, and seeing a girl on the next table with the same drink, i smirked, and in the blink of an eye, transfered her drink to my bottle. Now she was the one frowning.

I walked into the club and grinned proudly as I surveyed my newly bought black halter top and black flared jeans. Noticing Mai and another girl I jumped over to the bar and sat next to them
'Hey!! I...' I cautiously looked at the new girl 'I got some money off my friend with the sunlight allergy'

'Awesome! And lots. I totally hit a goldmine, I'm just glad that when I duest him the wallet fell from his pocket in time' I took it out my pocket and showed the chunkyness of it 'I figure we share it around and get some new weapons and stuff'

"And I'm Joshua," I say from right behind Doc. We had just walked in together, and following my friends lead, we headed straight for the gathering of girls. "You've probably heard of me," I said arrogantly.
When Maya snorted and rolled her eyes at my display I flashed her a wicked smile, but left it at that for the moment.

"No but I can probably come up with several ideas that you do always think about," I teased her as I stayed by Doc's side.
"As if," Maya gave me a death glare. "At least I'm not always thinking about my next score!"
Blushing suddenly I turned to the others and told them, "She means my grades in school." They gave me disbelieving looks. "Really! REALLY!"
