I stared up at the girl. Should I tell her? I gave up and decided to tell her.
"Well basically a month ago I was bitten by something and I guess I didn't notice at the time but I felt different. Then about a week ago some bullies, well thugs really, were chasing me round school and I turned into a mouse. One moment I was wishing for a place to hide and then I was a mouse. They didn't see me but they suspected. Then I did it again because I was scared (and angry) at ho... Well I did it again and I was in danger. Some people wanted to kill me; others just wanted me in a show. A freak show." I shuddered at the word freak. I hated it. I looked up at the girls and asked quietly
"What do I do? I don't understand. Before this I was normal, like you." I took another sip of orange juice.

I cracked up. The girl looked at me, stunned, and i tried desperately to sober myself,
"Sorry... sorry..." I gasped, "Just... sweetie, we're about as far from normal as you can get."
She raised her eyebrows, as if to say 'not compared to me'. I smiled, and getured to Nicki,
"This is Nicki, the werewolf wicca, Josh there is a time wizard, and I'm a wiccan slayer."
"A wiccan slayer?" SHe frowned, glancing at Nicki. I thought for a second, and grinned,
"A slayer who is also a wiccan... not a slayer OF wiccans." I explained.

"Oh! So why are you all here? I mean this is L.A. not Death city. What do you do? There can't be many, you know, evil things around. Can there?" I looked up at them, slightly scared. "I'm not something evil am I? I mean people become evil vamps when they're bitten by vamps, right? Or wrong? Well I was bitten to become a shape-shifter. Am I evil? " I was genuinely worried, but also amazed at myself. I hadn't lost my self-control and shifted accidently. But then...
"Woah" said Maya as I accidently became a panther. Not a wise thing to do in a bar. I shifted back, but not before everybody saw the panther.
"Ooops" I said lamely.

"So an all around shapeshifter," I mumbled. I had noticed Doc take care of the freak-hunters, not that they would have survived very long if they had actually gotten to this girl, but still it's better to have never let her see them and all that.
"Well, you should be grateful," I told her, drawing everyone's attention, "at least you aren't green."
When they looked at me confused like, "You know, Beastboy. From the Teen Titans? DC comics??"

Tapping my forehead I grinned for the first time in a long time, and said,
"Teen Titans? Isn't that a little immature for you to be reading?" I smirked and looked at Maya and Nikki. Nikki was giggling and Maya seemed amused. However I realised I needed as many friends as possible and smiled at Joshua.

"Huh?" At 16 I wasn't an expert on supernatural beings but I sensed I sould know this one. Suddenly the excitement and adventure of the day got to me and I slumped, exausted onto the bar.

'Why am I never the people person?'
I leaned forward an dplaced my hand on the poor girl, letting my energy flow my fingers and giving her a little boost. Always helps when I'm exhausted.
Watching as her eyes fluttered open I smiled
'Hey there sleepyhead' I paused 'Oh and the animal thing? Part wolf' I smiled sheepishly
