You know, it’s funny how I somehow keep finding myself in the middle of these two. Never met the vampire and Doc was always a very messed up person to talk with. Too paranoid for his own good but given his choice in love interests he seemed to have fucked up to a capital T.
Once again here I am knocking on his door dressed in my usual gothic attire, waiting for him to answer the door like every time I came over. Why Matt couldn’t just leave them alone was beyond me. Not like it was hard. Why I let him convince me to get into these things was another thing I had to figure out.
Yeah, I’m a bartender, I’m used to all SORTS of weird stories but the way these two carried on… it was pathetic. Okay, I get that she was a slayer at one point, now a vampire and fights on our side, ok… whatever. Him, the whole tramatic childhood. But come on! It’s not that hard to put two and two together. Saying they were a fucked up couple was an understatement.
Though, Doc might not be pleased to see me. Last time I saw him I had planted doubt in his head about her intentions. So sue me though, vampires gave me the creeps. Weither they fought on our side or not. They weren’t good company and the fact that Matt was willing to work with one so closely kinda disturbed me. He seemed convinced she wouldn’t harm him but part of me feared he would come home a vampire one night. Silly, no? But maybe not so much… Not after everything from years ago…
Frowning I tilted my head, sniffing the air to see if he was home. Yep, home. Reluctantly I knocked on the door.
