(( SAM's POV ))
Alright, so some might call me crazy and they certainly are not very far from the truth. This other Rogue was some what of a mystery, what would set her off and what wouldn't. Testing the waters seemed like a good idea for now. As much as the blood bag wanted to try and convince me that he was nothing to her, I was positive he was lying.
Sure, Rogue could tell a convincing lie more often then not, there were times where she couldn't hold her poker face for long. That and I knew her tells.
So a small present was in order.
A body was my first choice but they're kinda hard to sneak past other residents, plus bodies were too messy. No, this was subtle. Much smaller to hide plus it would be fun to see what would come of it. So many veiled messages and a promise of death.
Though bringing a bleeding human to Rogue might be fun, but I knew her sleeping habits; up before sunset and staying awake until after the sun rose. Other vampires were a threat when you willing hunt your own kind. Not that other vampires were like us.
No, we were very different. Grew up learning the hunt the bastards down. Now we knew how they thought and the hunters thought.
With a smile I placed a single rose on top of a mailing box with a card next to the box, written on the card was Doc's name.
The underground seemed to be buzzing about what happened with Raven and it was easy to get people to be talkative.
Before leaving I knocked on the door before taking off as silently as I had come.

Doc opened the door, looking out the gap as the chain latch stretched to it's limit. Looking down, he noticed a box with a single red rose on it. Okay, he thought. Rogue not quite this forward. Unless she wants something. Closing the door to unlatch the chain, he reopened it to pick up the box and rose. He opened the box slowly, his jaw tensing, mouth becoming a thin line. "Sonuva..." he growled closing hte door and moving to the counter to open the box fully, staring down at the freshly removed heart within. He knew Rogue, unless she'd lost control, wouldn't do something stupid, which meant the newcomer.
Sam.
"Sonuva..." he growled again. He was going to have to be careful he didn't lead her to Maya. Warning her might be a good idea too.
Then he and Rogue had to have a much longer chat about her 'friend'.
