"Well, I never met him and glad I don't ever need to," she smiled. "I agree with what you told me. The council was cruel. I'm glad that Buffy got rid of it." Of course she had the help of her fellow scoobies but still. The old system had been thrown out and a new and much more appropriate sytem was in it's place.

"Yeah, I'll admit, she's a lot easier to get along with," Matthew nodded, wincing slightly at teh last conversation he'd had with the diminutive (but never to her face) Head Slayer. "Even if she does mangle the English language somewhat."

"Does she?" Coal asked, with amusment. "I always thought her to have a good grasp on the english language... Damn, totally lost respect for her." She hadn't really, from the stories she was told Buffy was extremely human dispite all tat she had gone through in her life and had to admit, this Buffy seemed like a very strong individual. Helped she didn't slay werewolves.

"You've never been in a meeting with her," Matthew said, his tone matching her own. "She scares me with the way she mauls sentances."

"Sounds horrible!" she chuckled, rinning like a mad woman. "How ever does Giles put up with her?" From the stories she heard about Giles he was kindaa stick in the mud when it came to grammer.

"He keeps a bottle of scotch in the top draw of his desk," Matt informed her. "We've shared after a meeting."

She chuckled, shaking her head. "Surely she couldn't have been that bad? Cause you would never drink." She grinned, taking his glass before downing it. "Never ever."

"Oh, you put up with many very annoying habits for those ou love," she said, grinning from ear to ear at the not to hidden meaning in that one. Actually she found very few of his habits annoying but the ones that she did find annoying drove her CRAZY. For example his constant nagging on her being safe and he gets an assignment thats leads him to this whole Raven mess.

"Actually, I only put up with her mangling of the Englsh language cause I get paid large ammounts of money," he said pointedly.

"Yes, large amounts," she replied rolling her eyes. "Money isn't important in the long run. I mean it's nice but really?" She knew money wasn't all that important to him either but it did make things to much easier having two incomes even with the economy being what it is.

"Well, it does fund my trips and research," Matt said. And boy did he need it. He was still no closer to understanding the gifts left to him that day as a child, why a,d how it had happened.

"It does," she chuckled watching him. "And helps us live comfortably." She rested her head on his shoulder.

He smiled, kissing the top of her head lightly. "It's certainly made things easier, even if I didn't wholly agree with the old council's ways."

"Guess it's a good thing that the new council didn't keep their old ways." She smiled, not moving from where she sat.
