"Alright, come on," he said, leading her to what some would consider a shady part of town. This was the kind of place Mal would set up in. Out of the way. Not on any tour routes. He liked to hide his abilities, but once you knew about him, you always knew where to find him. "Keep an eye out for Planet Library. that's where you'll find him."

I shot him a sharp look, "You dont know where he is?" I asked. "I thought you knew this guy?"

"It's a thing he had placed on his shop," Doc told her. "He exchanged a look up for a spell that made the store unfindable unless you know what it's called and he wants you to find it. Very rarely does he let people know about him, only if he finds them... interesting," Doc shrugged. "What can i say? He likes me."

I raised my eyebrows, genuinely intrigued. That sort of spell would involve a lot of power and skill. There did, however, seem to be a fatal flaw in this plan... "So... what if he doesn't want me to find him?" I asked.

Doc just grinned at her. "You're a Slayer. That's an interesting look up for him, no matter who it is. He'll want to meet you."

An interesting look up? I wasn't sure that I wanted to know what that meant. I said nothing and kept looking and feeling out for this place.
((Really need to speed this up a bit!!))

(((Ya, sorry. Stuff happening)))
"Just... "Ah, there it is," he said, pointing at the run down looking shop with the sign 'Planet Library' painted on top. "Come on, Maya," he said, leadin her inside. "Time to meet the Wizard."
Inside were... books. Just wall to wall books on every topic, by every writer you could think of. In the backgour, if you listened, one could here someone muttereing away, listing what sounded to be... facts. "Yo, Mal!"
"Hm?" From behind one of the (many) piles of books poked a male head of Asian origina. "Ah, Jackson Ellison, 28 years old, born in Australia. Still going by Doc?" Doc roled his eyes.
"yes, Mal, still going by Doc," he said.
"Thought so. "You have a friend I see?"

My eyes were wide. I hadn't managed to blink since I walked in the place. Despite its drab appearance I was positive that the collective worth of this place was millions. Beyond that, trillions, plus several still beating virgins hearts by the looks of some of the magic volumes I could spot already. I had no doubt that there would be a lot of stuff in here that could help me with my own magic (and controlling it) as well as somewthing that could probably help that poor werewolf girl.
I heard the conversation begin, and tuned myself back in, an eyebrow raising at the way the man greeted Doc. How odd. Ah well, as I was still playing along with whatever the hell Doc was up to, plus I would quite like to be on this guys good side, assuming he wasn't in on the whole trying to kill me /mess with me/ expose me possibility. So I replied with a smile, "The name's Maya." I told him.

"Hm, not much to go on," Mal muttered. "Over 35 billion entries on 'Maya', people really need to be more specific," he shook his head, turning to Doc. "So, you have the keywords?"
"yes," Doc nodded. "And something that'll really get your look up juices flowing."
"Oh really?" Mal said, reaising an eyebrow. "And what might that be?"
"Triskellion," Raven's base, teh centre of his intelligence network. Mal's eyes glazed over a bit before coming back into focus, a huge grin on his face.
"Oh now that is positively fantastic," he said enthusiastically. Let's get this over with, shall we?" Doc nodded, gathering his mind as Mal took a step back, giving of a green glow. "Beginning look up now."
"Key words Ellison, potential Slayer, Alistair Werrington, kidnapping, England, London, Sarah Meyer, St Francis Childrens Society."
"Bingo!"
(((I'll let you fill in the info he finds, Mai. XD)))

The 'wizard' looked positively excited. I couldn't bring myself to believe that this was a planned show just for me, yet as he cried bingo, his eyes alight with newfound links in his endless knowledge, I got the sudden urge to run, and run FAST. But I held. I had to hear what he had to say. "What you got?" Doc asked, full of anticipation. "Kathryn Ellison, potential slayer, kidnapped from the family home in Sydney, Australia, aged 4, by watchers council squad headed by Alistair Werrington. Family all officially deceased. Taken to London, England, where vampires killed the watchers and she escaped." I could see Doc getting impatient, he knew all this, and was desperate for new imformation. I was getting more and more tense, my hands balled into fists, my finger nails digging deep into my palms. He continued. "Kathryn was taken in by the St. Francis Childrens society, under the care of Sarah Meyer. The child had no apparent memory of her past, and was adopted soon after by the Wilson family, and renamed." "Shut up." I snapped. I didn't want to hear this. It was impossible, it couldn't be true. Though Mal looked at me, a vague smile on his lips, he continued, skipping the little fact he had nearly imparted. Doc looked baffled by my reaction, but clearly keen to hear the rest. "In her teens the family emigrated to Miami, Florida, where all but the girl were murdered by a demon gang lead by a vampire named Orestes. The gang were wiped out days later by an unknown party, but Orestes remains." Mal seemed very irritated by the 'unknown party' part, but was prepared to keep going. I, however, was not prepared to listen to any more. "Shut up!" I cried again, "Stop it! I dont know who the hell you are or what you are trying to do but it's not gonna work." I was shaking my head, backing away from them, and at some stage tears had started rolling down my face... strange that I hadn't noticed. "Keep away from me." I gasped. The most worrying thing about the thousands of emotions and feelings flying through me was the building pressure somewhere deep inside me which sent little crackles of energy right to my finger tips. I knew I needed to get the hell out of here, but I couldn't seem to find the connection to make my legs move....

Doc looked at Mal a minute, then back at Maya. Her reaction to the photo... now this... no, that was impossible. To have been so close, so very, very close this entire time and not even realise it? It couldn't be...
"Her name, Mal," he whispered hoarsely, watching the energy dance around Maya. "What was her new name?"
"Maya Wilson," Mal said. "Currently a vampire Slayer, trained by Faith Lehane and Rupert Giles."
"God..." he breathed, looking at her. "Kathy?"

I shook my head, though it was a little redundant as my entire body was trembling, "No." I snapped, "No, no... I dont know who you are, or why you are doing this to me, but it's sick!" I was aware that all my precious control had flown out of the window several minutes ago. Serves me right, I suppose, I thought, you spend you life building defenses and being so bloody careful about who you let in, and within days in this stupid city you let it all go for some whack job. Because he was a whack job. He HAD to be. The things Mal had said could not be true, because if they were... then I had lost a whole other family long before I lost the one I knew. But that was ridiculous. I knew who I was. My family were MY FAMILY.... With all this flying through my mind at a million miles a second, I knew all too well that if I wasn't careful, I could kill both of these guys without even meaning to... but part of me didn't care. Part of me didn't care if I went up in smoke with them. "Keep the hell away from me." I repeated, though my voice shook with anger and grief.

Damn. Damn, damn, DAMN! Slayer, I knew, Doc thought. She'd have to have been if she'd survived. But a witch? One on a magnitude that even Mal was having trouble keep his feet.
Damn.
Of course she's reacting badly, she just found out her life is a lie. There had to be something I could, or else she was going to blow us to hell, and possibly take the block with us.
Damn. Shit. What can I do, though? It's not like she could...
Wait. Maybe she could.
"Kat... Maya, wait a sec!" Doc yelled. "Calm down before you blow as all to kingdome come!" Look, you're a witch. A damn powerful one. Probably powerfl enough to say... read my mind," he took a step forward, hard to do with the power she was generating. "Go on. You want the truth? It's right up here," he pointed at his head. "Waiting."
