The dreams were beginning to increase not that it made any sense. Though signs were occurring every where, it was if the very Earth knew something was meant to happen soon.
Tonight I was in my crypt for the last time for what I hoped would be a long time. Picking up the bag that held the few belongings I kept with me I left the crypt rubbing my eyes to block the headache which was starting to form from my brain's unwillingness to shut itself off for even a few hours.

"Finally getting out?" Matthew said with a grin as he walked towards her. In his hands there was a folder. "Got a nice condo, or are you the one moving into the old substation I've heard about?"

"Old substation?" For some reason the envelope in his hand was not filling me with confidence. "How do you even know where my crypt is anyways?" Last time I saw him it was in the graveyard in general, not outside of my crypt. There was more than one crypt nearby but none of them had sewer access, which probably was a big give away.

He tapped the side of his nose. "Shifter, remember? Your scent is all over this place," he chuckled before getting serious. "We need to talk. It's about Doc."

"Kicked off the End of the World, quite possibly," Matthew said, handing over the folder. "He was spotted handing over an artifact to a guy we've had our eyes on. He owns a small art collection, so Doc may not have known what he was up to, but he's been collecting Ancient Egyptian artifacts, usually to do with life and death, or more importantly, resurrection."

"Wonderful." I took the envelope from him, looking them over. "I take it these items aren't just linked to stories but have actual proof behind them? Any recent occurrences that would make them a threat now?" Obviously the guy had the training to possibly use such items or else it would be of no concern to any member of the council if the guy had them or not.

"Sarcophagus? Wonderful..." With a sigh I rubbed the bridge of my nose before looking up at him. "I take it the info is reliable?" It likely was if Matt was bringing it up. "Said sarcophagus wouldn't happen to be mostly gold and red with a bit of black mixed in would it? Slightly beaten?"

"It was a good guess. Red for blood, black for darkness and gold for power. All of which a pharoh of his type would fit with and with all the stories floating around about curses from mummies no one would dare to touch the sarcophacus for fear of a curse or some other such nonsense, hence only slight damage to allow for age." At least it sounded good in my head. "But yes I still get the dreams, not that they're much help."
