"You take things so literally." Shaking my head. "Besides, at that point I had hoped that I hadn't made enough of an imprint in your life. Well besides the whole me going after Raven for you."

"Please, don't look at me like that. It's not like you showed much in the way of emotions. How can I accurately read you if you remain impassive?"

Doc barked out a laugh. "Oh that's funny," he chuckled. "You didn't fail. His vast network, his soldiers, his money... he had none of that. You left him almost completely poor and destitute. You did more damage to him than anyone else."

"Hey," he said softly, moving over to her. "You did fine. You did better than I could have done."

Doc shrugged. "I can't tel lyou that, Rogue," he admitted. "Only one person can decide which is which and how much of that went into your actions. That's you," he smiled and went back to the kitchen as the kettle began to boil to prepare her coffee.

He just continued to smile, handing her a mug of coffee," then why ask?" he said, taking a sip of his tea.

"Because I have yet to figure that out for myself." I took the coffee from him before sipping it. Truthfully the coffee had no flavor to it. One of the side effects of being a vampire.

Doc nodded and then smiled. "Maybe the question you should be asking is, if i wasn't involved, would there have been any incentive to go after Raven?"

"If he did something to piss me off then yes, I probably would have. As you know by now it doesn't take much to piss me off"
